We now have the full spoilers for the Norlii June 2022 Box! The box celebrates the Swedish Midsummer celebration, which always takes place in June with maypoles, flower wreaths, bonfires and the joy of the outdoors.

The Deal: Use code JUNE to get $20 off your first box or exclusive code MSA20% to get 20% off the first box of a new subscription (regularly $74.90/bi-monthly and $419/year).

So what's in the Norlii June Swedish Midsummer box?

Swedes use flowers to make beautiful wreaths to wear on their head. You are receiving this beautiful flower to add some color to your table (From Ib Laursen). The Homlegaard Scala Jar is a true classic from the more than 200 years old brand. Use it for nuts, raising, or maybe homemade herb salt storage.

The salad bowl from Danish Bitz is a favorite. The ceramic bowl has a beige rim matching it perfectly with the salad set. Your salad will stand out in the creme white and shiny glaze on the inside and the matte texture on the outside. To go with the bowl:  An elegant salad set by Swedish Sagaform in oak and stainless steel. And finally, a simplistic functional, and beautiful trivet, 'Shell' by Zone Denmark.

You'll receive:

  • Zone Denmark Shell Trivet
  • Bitz Ceramic Bowl
  • Homlegaard Scala Jar-Use it for nuts, raising, or maybe homemade herb salt storage.
  • Ib Laursen Faux Wildflower
  • Sagaform Oak and Stainless Steel Salad Set

On May 13, we shared the first spoiler:

Sagaform Swedish Salad Set

I’ve been eyeing this box for awhile, but it just never feels worth it to me – lots of stuff that would collect dust (a faux flower? Just get some real flowers). At that price point vs value, it seems better to simply go find your own home items. Herb jars are super cheap. The bowl is nice.

There’s an eye and a curation for quality that I haven’t seen in many other boxes. Also the items complement previous boxes (ie the pots and watering can from last box match tray from Christmas box). It’s like the difference between a boutique vs mass market retailers.

I will say that I often feel underwhelmed when I see the spoilers, but I almost always find the items are much better in person.

A good subscription box gives you value. This should be $50.00. Just go shopping at tj maxx and you’ll be able to pick what you want and save $40.00, at least. Same type items.

Seriously? People pay $88 for this??????????

The tray is available in the shop as an extra. I was hoping that would be in the box. 🙁

Instagram post answer was that bowl is not included in this box. There will be 4 additional items “to complete the Midsomer theme.”

You need to pay better attention. The bowl they were referencing was the clear salad bowl that was used as a prop to display the salad serving set that is in the box.

Maybe it’s not intended, but you sound a little snippy here Jennifer.

Diane’s comment was made 11 days ago, and she too was referencing the clear glass bowl from the original spoiler pic.

Kate

Nooooooo 🙁 I love that bowl

The bowl in these pics is in the box. This person doens’t pay attention to details. The clear bowl used as a prop to display the salad serving set is the bowl that is not in the box.

I am always curious about the target demographic for this sub. My assumption is that people who are happy to drop $75 every two months on home decor items that they don’t get to pick are people who are financially far enough along in life and career that they’ve also reached the point where they don’t want any more hurricane lamps, planters, bud vases, and mugs cluttering up their living space. The contradiction here is puzzling.

I am financially far enough along in life to drop $75 every two months on home decor, and part of the reason for that may be that I have never spent my money on hurricane lamps, planters and bud vases. So all these items are new to me. 🙂

That makes sense! Thank you for explaining.

Lorina

So are we also getting the bowl? I hardly dare hope!

I wonder if the entire box is shown in that first picture?
