Nourish Beauty Box is a natural beauty subscription box that sends four full-size products each month. Everything is paraben-free and cruelty-free and made with all vegan ingredients.

The News: The brand recently announced they are increasing prices for 2022. Originally, subscribers received a mix of both skincare and makeup from indie brands for $29.95/month with free shipping. If you subscribe right now, you can lock-in the price for a 6-month subscription as long as you don't cancel!

From The Brand:

"We’re so thankful for all the support you have given us so far! Being one of the most affordable conscious skincare subscriptions out there, we’ve held back on any price increments throughout the past year even with
unprecedented increases in shipping, manufacturing and raw material costs.

Lock Your Price In

We will however, eventually need to re-evaluate our price points in order to keep up with the paradigm shifts within the entire supply chain.

As a token of our gratitude for your unwavering loyalty, we’d like to offer you the opportunity to lock your price in today with a 6-month membership (which auto-renews every 6 months).

Your 6-month membership price will remain unchanged as long as it isn’t cancelled."

Are you locking in your 6imonth membership?

I’m wondering what the price is going up to. I really want to support them, and they have wonderful customer service, but I’m not sure this box is the best match for me because I have a lot of skincare already.

This isn’t a box I’m subscribed too, but the price increase caught my attention because I’m anticipating a number of my current subs increasing prices. (One I was gifted already did and since it was a gift sub, it had a term and I’d have to renew at the new higher rate.)
I’ve been trying to make a list of all the subs I get and which subs I like enough to buy annually so I get both a lower per box price and (hopefully) lock in prices where I can. Which sub boxes do you like enough to go annual? Which ones would you still want even if they raised prices?

Hi Lauren,

Thank you for the question! Hopefully more people see it and chime in. Everyone’s taste is so different that it’s hard to recommend something that everyone will agree with. To be honest, at this point, Allure is the one subscription that I recommend without reservation. It has a nice mix of skincare and makeup and sometimes hair care. They used to include nail polish and perfume occasionally, but they don’t really do that anymore, sadly.

I do like Nourish. They have great customer service. They will let you skip a month if you contact them directly. Unfortunately, I just have too much skincare at the moment, and I canceled Nourish for now.

Speaking of skin care, See New is another great skin care box. They have great reviews and also have amazing customer service, and you can also skip months. They are a bit more expensive.

I feel like Birchbox is dying, and I am canceling it. I was subscribed to Goddess Provisions. It is a nice box if you are into New Age spirituality, the Zodiac, moon phases, and things like that, but I am not, and I canceled it, too. But it is a nice box overall with a mix of crystals, spiritual tools, some home decor/candles, some self-care items, lots of teas, and some snacks.

I subscribed to Ipsy for a year to lock in the lower price before their recent increase. I like it, but I realize it isn’t for everyone. They have a mix of skincare and makeup, also, and they do include nail polish and some fragrance. You can skip months, which is nice, and you get a little makeup pouch every month. So I recommend it if you are into beauty and samples.

NewBeauty Test Tube is interesting. It is bimonthly and includes a wide array of beauty products and some supplements, but it seems like it is going downhill lately, too.

I used to get FabFitFun, but they seem to be recycling a lot of their products, and many subscribers seem to be unhappy with them lately. But if you are into lifestyle boxes, it is probably one of the best out there.

I actually get and enjoy the much maligned Singles Swag. It is fun and has a mix of products, but to be honest they have a lot of no name brand skincare, and their jewelry tends to not be that attractive. They include a snack every month.

Skylar is great if you want a fragrance only subscription, and each month they release a brand new fragrance that they created, and it all uses clean ingredients.

Boxycharm is good for makeup lovers, I guess. They also include skin care. I’m going to cancel in a month or so because I just don’t use enough makeup to justify getting the box.
I get Glossybox and have mixed feelings about it. I would not recommend getting locked into an annual sub with them. I’m going to see if they do something special for Valentines Day and then maybe cancel, although they are well known for their Easter boxes and their Mother’s Day boxes, too, so I might stick around through May. You can buy the Easter egg and the Mother’s Day boxes without being a subscriber, but you get them cheaper if you are a subscriber.

A box that I don’t get that I am interested in trying is TheraBox. They include a monthly “happiness” activity and then some self-care items.

What about you, Lauren? What type of boxes do you like? Do you have any that you would recommend?

Melissa

I’ll just reply to myself since no one else is engaged in this conversation. I reached out to Nourish box, and they have not decided what the new price will be yet, so there is no information on that front at this point.

I was wondering too what the increase would be, thanks for calling and sharing. 🙂
