What's in the Rituals 2021 Advent Calendar?

The calendar is stocked with some items available in stores — and some not — as well as a mix of sample and full-sized products. Here's the full list:

Is it Worth It?

The Rituals 2021 advent calendar is $112 with an estimated value of $150 — not quite as big of a bang for your buck as some of the other popular beauty advent calendars out there, but definitely a savings! That $48 price difference is almost enough to buy two full-sized shimmer oils or a full-sized Rituals candle plus the Ritual Foaming Shower Gel.

Other Things to Know:

When will the Rituals Advent Calendar ship? The calendar is available now with shipping expected somewhere from 2 to 7 business days after ordering.

I don’t know if anyone will see this since this post is a month old, but I found a way to get the calendar a little bit cheaper. But first, my whole story.

So I like Rituals for the most part and have been excited about this calendar ever since I heard about it, even though it does seem to not necessarily be worth as much as they are selling it for. I have been visiting the Rituals website over and over and trying to learn what each of the scents are. I noticed that they had a rewards program, so I signed up to be a member. It said I would get a free welcome gift with my first purchase. I don’t know what the gift is. But I was excited because for the month of September they were also offering a free “Oriental scents” parfum gift with any $50 purchase. So on September 30 I went in to make my purchase and was quite frustrated to find out that I could not get the free gift with the purchase of the Advent calendar because the Advent calendar is (supposedly, according to them) already allowing me to experience their products at a great price. I needed to order another $50 worth of product to get the free gift. So I decided to wait and think about it some more.

In the meantime, I have been worried that the calendar would sell out. Last night, instead of accessing the Rituals website, I just googled the calendar and found it for sale at several other sites (including Amazon). What jumped out at me though was that I could get it from Ulta! Or I could get it from Macy’s and get a free gift with purchase. The free gift appears to be a set of Rituals shower gel and hand lotion in the scent “Jing.” That was very tempting. However, as an Ulta Platinum member, I had a $15 coupon that worked on the Advent calendar, plus Ulta currently has an offer to get an 18 piece beauty bag with any $80 purchase. So if any of you are Ulta rewards members, you might be able to snag this with a coupon or at least earn some points for buying it or manage to get a free gift of some sort with it. Also, purchasing this pushed me over the threshold to maintain my Platinum status for another year. In fact, I needed exactly $97 to meet the goal, and with the $15 off coupon, the calendar was $97!

I also ordered it from Ulta. My mother got a 20% off coupon on her account so it brought it down quite a bit. She also was at 2000 points, so she got a couple things as well and it was free 😀 I think the GWP was really nice this go around too.

I get this calendar every year for myself. Bummed the price went up, but will still get. I love the new look!

Such a pretty calendar. But, pricey and low value. Gonna pass unless price drops a great deal.

That’s $38 difference in price and value. This calendar is so pretty! I’m going diy for the ones I gift this year. I will purchase one for myself, but it will be difficult to choose.

I purchased the 2020 version, but the price has gone up quite a bit, at least $20. So I’m on the fence. It makes a cute display, but that doesn’t justify the extra expense for me.

Also, the difference between the cost and the MSRP is $38, not $48. Actually, the sentence doesn’t make sense. Are you saying you need to spend the money that you “saved”? 🤷‍♀️

I love Rituals and I love the creativity they put in conceptualizing this advent box. Hope I am able to get one.
