who gives a crap toilet paper

There’s a Subscription For That is a new series spotlighting subscriptions the team at My Subscription Addiction finds interesting and is excited to share with readers.

Raise your hand if you went into panic mode at some point during the pandemic about running out of toilet paper? Yup ... we've been there. If only we'd all signed up for a subscription for toilet paper. Yup ... there's a subscription for that!

And we don't just mean signing up for a "subscribe and save" from Amazon (although yes, there is that too). The cleverly named "Who Gives a Crap" is an Australian-based subscription box that wants to make sure you never run out of TP and make the world a better place while they're at it.

Shipping out boxes stocked with 48 rolls of TP, the brand lets you choose between bamboo or recycled paper, and you can vary how often you want a delivery based on how many people are in your family. They even have carbon neutral delivery on orders over $25, so you can feel extra good about the impact you're making with your delivery choice.

Why a subscription box for toilet paper? Well, beyond the fact that it's something we all use, it turns out the folks at Who Gives a Crap wanted to make a difference for the billions of people out there in the world who don't have access to a toilet, especially the children who are the highest risk of dying from diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. They sell subscriptions so that they can donate 50% of their profits to help build toilets and improve sanitation in the developing world. Already they've donated millions to the cause — yes, millions with an M.

Pretty cool, huh?

Thinking you really do give a crap about a toilet paper subscription box? Let's talk details!

The Box: Who Gives a Crap?

The Price: A 48-roll toilet paper box will set you back $48 — about $1 per roll.

Ships to: The contiguous US for $8 or free if your order is more than $25. Shipping to Alaska is available, but it will set you back $40. Canadians can get $8 shipping for orders over $25 and $14 shipping for orders under the mark (all USD).

Good to Know: Want more than TP? Who Gives a Crap lets you add-on paper towels and tissues — both made from bamboo — with your order.

Have you tried a toilet paper subscription? What do you think of the Who Gives a Crap mission?

I use reel, same idea but they are in the US and they help people in Haiti, so a little closer to home if that’s what you are worried about! PLUS made of bamboo, so very eco-friendly!
Been a customer for years and love them!

Thanks for that recommendation. I just signed up for Reel. I’m not fussy about TP, but some in my house found the WGAC TP not soft enough. Plus, I love Reel’s mission.

We ordered a few cases last year from them. Great customer service and product. I highly recommend them.

I just ordered my first box from them the other day! If I love it, I will definitely subscribe. I’ve been looking for an eco-friendly TP… I’ve tried a few in-store and didn’t like them. I love that they give money for toilets in other communities.

I love Who Gives A Crap! We have been getting them for years.. definitely recommend the toilet paper, tissues, and the newer kitchen sponge. Not a fan of their paper towels.

The lead-in about the pandemic is useless. Even if this sub would not have run out of TP, the shipping would have been delayed. So claiming that this sub would prevent you from running out is a bogus claim. Does this actually ship from Australia? Instead, buy locally and write a check for the difference to the charity of your choice (including theirs).

I had my subscription prior to the pandemic and they made sure that all existing customer’s orders were fulfilled. Had a great experience personally.
Quick google search shows they have an AU site. Do whatever you feel works best for your TP needs. I just really like their quality more than my local brands.
