Tomorrow is a big day at My Subscription Addiction. We are unveiling a brand new look.

This beloved site, which was founded nine years ago, needed some love to keep running and deliver new experiences. We’ll spare you of the technical details. Knowing we had to make changes, we focused on our readers and how we could upgrade this experience for you, too.

Here’s what we did: We met you through surveys and interviews. We read your comments. And then our small and mighty team got to work. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to for the last year (most of which was done remotely from our homes).

We designed with you in mind. Everything you love today will be here tomorrow, plus new features you’ve been asking for (sorry, no spoilers for this launch).

As we gear up for our big reveal, we’re launching weekly giveaways from some of your favorite brands like Atlas Coffee Club, Bespoke Post, Beachly, Ipsy, Home Chef, Function of Beauty and See New Skincare. I do not want to be rude, as I am fully aware this new site style took a bunch of time and work. However, I (mechanical engineering degree here so I don’t consider myself completely dumb) find this new style much less user friendly. I think the idea was to separate reviews from spoilers and coupons, which in theory could have been a great idea. I’m not sure how it came out so bad though. It seems very cluttered, very difficult to find things, and in all honesty it makes you question whether or not you have actually found the most recent posts – Of any kind.
To me, what makes the most sense (and this may have been a past feature) is to still have a chronological feed like old times with the ability to filter the feed to just spoilers or reviews.
I’d love to hear what other readers think of this idea.
I’m truly sorry this had gotten such a poor review, but it is warranted imo. I also just tried to look at some FFF spoilers and noticed how you’re inserting Instagram posts; then read a review yesterday where TikToks were used. I get that that is more high tech than the old way, but I can tell a lot of the readers don’t have those apps or are accessing the site where those apps/sites are restricted. So you are limiting your reach by doing this. Truly. I found myself searching for FFF fall spoilers because the one post I just read only showed one Instagram video of one option, not all the options. So this actually drove me away from your site.
I used to check MSA multiple times a day. Now there are days that go by before I even look. If you want to get MSA back in it’s glory, I would focus on what things are missing from the Liz days. Or see if she’s willing to be a paid consultant for a little bit of her time. Hell, I feel I could be a consultant for this site and several others that have been here for years. We were all very loyal to MSA but it has truly fallen on tough times where spoilers come out way late and reviews as well. YouTube always has multiple videos up for boxy WEEKS before MSA does. Like that’s just crazy.

I’ve been going on this site for years. I too agree that I hate the new website. It’s now harder to navigate and all the fonts are difficult on the eyes, especially on mobile. Sad to see what this place has become

I really only come here for spoilers and to read about other boxes by skimming through the most recent posts which was easy to do before. I’ll be sticking to Reddit and Facebook groups to get updates on my boxes, I’m not really a fan of these types of websites and there’s too much going on pulling me every which way. I get this is about making money and clicks and ads but I won’t be using this as much unless I want to see people’s comments as reviews for something I’m curious about.

Going to add my name to others who hate the new website. It was so good before to see all the stuff in chronological order. Now I have to search the website to find what I need. UGH, why make it more complicated? Major fail MSA. I will not be visiting this site as much as used to.

I can’t log into my swap account from here. I click on my logo and nothing happens. Now I have to go to Google and search MSA swaps to get in. Now that is a long way around every time I want to log in.

It would be helpful to know if you are using your phone or desktop? And to confirm, are you unable to see the options under your profile such as the “my swaps” button?

In the meantime, you might also be able to get to swaps by going through the navigation in the upper left. Let us know if you are able to get in!

I’m sorry, I don’t love this new format. I have been visiting this website for years, I will not be back. I have felt increasingly like this is just a money making website, which I understand, but now it just feels more blatant. Reviews for cash not reviews for honest feedback.

Btw I was the one that had posted about I bet they will take away comments which somehow turned into a whisper down the lane scenario. I posted that because of all the infighting that is done to each other. We need to stay away from that and let people have their opinions. There’s no need to argue over anyone’s OPINION. You know that old saying everybody has one (not putting the first part)lol

The photographs shown at the top of the reviews need to be of the contents of the box. Photos of people do not give any hint as to what the box is or what is being reviewed.

Thanks for sharing. This is a big change that (on my phone) resembles nothing of how I used this site. Please put back some of the way it looked with dates and whatnot. This new format is a bummer. Liz’s format is why we are all here. There are other pages like the new format and you are now exactly like the others and there is no reason to choose this one instead.

Every time I want to leave a comment I have to re-enter my information? This is different. Also the new format is quite different! Definitely more business like and less homey. There is also a LOT of information. Like I said before, not a huge fan of change in this sort of way…..has anyone really liked Alltrue? I realize this is MSA 2.0 so the focus has really expanded much more than the typical subscription box a lot of us are used to. I feel like the site is also a bit hard to navigate. I couldn’t even find this article initially! I guess time will tell, but wishing the best.

I’d love to see a return to reviews by long-time, trusted reviewers, but i fear that ship has sailed. The only reviews I read anymore are from Jessica, because I trust her to be honest, thorough and entertaining.
