How do you get to choose what you want? I didn’t get an email with choices. Is there another way??


Yeah, I canceled. Spoilers that aren’t good for me plus a complete lack of customer service = the kick in the pants I needed.

I contacted CS about a lack of any news about my May PopUp order on July 6. Despite promises to contact customers with 3 business days, I received nothing until a generic “Updates from your BoxyCharm family!!!” email about a refund came in on July 13. Because it was a generic email, it was confusing & did not address my concerns, I sent a follow-up email in the same thread as my original ticket, also on July 13. It also received no direct reply as of today, July 20th. Yet all the automated emails telling me that my order is partially refunded have gone through, so clearly their system is working.

Interestingly enough, the generic refund emails are NOT actual responses to my report ticket, so there’s ALSO no “rate my reply” scoring system, which I find… curious. Could it be that the lack of response to my support ticket is a way to deliberately evade getting rated?


I waited for my March addons all the way until end of may. In those 2 months, the replies went from my addons are getting ready to ship to still processing to just pulled to receiving them soon to processing. Customer service never had a real answer. I realized they have no control over that so contacting them is pretty much a waste. When they finally arrived, my palette was broken and the mirror was cracked. 2 months I waited. They ended up having to refund after all that because there were no more. It was upsetting for sure.


I noticed today, that they lowered the prices on a lot of the addons. If you are interested take another look. The stuff is a lot cheaper now.


I bought the Vesca bronzer during the FFF sale and I love it. Bronzers are my weakness but I read some great reviews of Vesca so I chose the cream shadow and moisturizer for one account and Fenty and highlighter for the other. I’m actually really happy!


My Pop-up order from May never shipped (pop-ups are supposed to ship by the end of the next month; mine should have shipped by the end of June) so I emailed customer service on July 6th, and finally got a vague reply today (July 13) that’s a canned response which does not address my concerns at all. Despite nothing from the order being shipped, the email talks about the “remaining” items in my order not being sent, & that I’ll receive a “partial” refund within 7-10 days. So idk if they’re still planning on shipping some items to me (despite the “out of stock” excuses, a couple of the items are in this month’s add-ons), or if I should be getting a full refund, or WHAT idk idk. 😠

To rub salt in the wound, I had used a $12 credit Boxy gave me for sending a duplicate item on this order, and of course the copy-paste email also does not address this AT ALL despite it being a concern I brought up in my original email.

Really disappointed. It seemed at one point last year Boxy customer service had really been improving, and I had pleasant resolutions to a few issues, but since being taken over by Ipsy, it’s back in the dumps.

BoxyCharm has had my money for 2 months, and at a certain point, they KNEW they weren’t going to be able to fulfill my order, but decided just to keep my money anyway until I contacted them about it. Really messed up.


The last time I ordered add-ons and had an issue, it was also with a $12 credit from them sending me a duplicate item. They refused to reissue my credit or do anything to help me. I was told that I paid with a credit and so I was just out of luck since they were out of stock =(.


They won’t even answer me personally. I keep getting these canned automated emails that aren’t even replies to my support request ticket. I’ve emailed twice, & I’m about to email again.


My last popup order came all smashed and broken. It was in a big box, and all the stuff was rolling around. My shampoo exploded and no none of it could be saved. They did give me my money back for the shampoo, and resent another item that exploded. I felt like the response was automated. I really hate responses like that. This will be my last month with Boxy. I was hoping to go out with a bang, but very disappointed. However, I loved the AHB takeover box, that was amazing! The packaging was packed super careful in that box!


Choices are lackluster this month. I don’t need another Moisturizer or a Setting spray. Not familiar with the Vesca – I would have selected a bronzer but the lighter shades were sold out. I went with the cream eyeshadow.
The addons were abysmal. I can’t believe how much they’ve increased prices. A Kate Somerville product I purchased for 12.00 (several months ago) is now 39.00 !?..Also an Illuminati Palette for $18.00 !! They can’t expect customers to be okay with this. I’m wondering is this because they are now giving a free palette and 10.00 to spend on add ons to new and returning customers ? I’ve read right here that many people cancel every month just to resubsribe the following month to take advantage of this. Many Boxy has caught on and raised the prices to compensate.


I agree. The prices are so high. This will be my last month with both Boxys. I was hoping to pick up some addons as I go out. However, all the cheap addons are just junk. I miss the old days when there were so many good deals!


I was really sad to see how the prices of addons have gone up. Before I use to feel like I was getting a good deal. Now the prices are so high and all the good stuff. The only deals are on the junk items. I miss the old days of popup and addon deals. 🙁


Not my cup of tea this month. I’m glad they have established brands like Fenty & Wishful (in case anyone didn’t know, Wishful is the skincare sister company to Huda Beauty), but I don’t want a dewy spray, & this particular Wishful moisturizer has lavender in it.

I did like that there were a LOT of choices for the second category. I’ve never heard of the brand Vesca, though. Is anyone familiar? The Haus Labs powder was the most interesting thing to me, anyway, so I went with that. I picked the silvery one.


I was on just after 11ct , everything sold out within like 2 min before I could even clink on them !!! Not sure Boxy is worth it anymore for premium


Almost everything was available to me now, at 2pm PST. Maybe check again? I did notice that once I clicked on one choice (to see the colors available), the other choices said “sold out” but I could still click on them & select them if I wanted.

MSA your about 4 hrs late with post! The prices have doubled … more extraordinary deals anymore.
