I’m with everyone else about choices. I’ve already got both palettes from Boxy. I don’t wear bronzers ever because I’m so fair and they are too much usually. I have no summer color from having surgery and being stuck in bed. I liked the Ofra one because I tons of their shadows to mix and match, so having extra interchangeable palette base would give me another customized travel option, BUT it’s telling me I can’t choose it. I will have to buy it from the add on store and I’m not paying $12 for a palette I already have and was going to pop out the colors in. So, I’m forced into the cleanser that I’ve already tried and the texture just wasn’t for me. Sigh… so frustrated.

I cancelled my BC this past week because finances are getting really tight and now I’m glad I did. I have been really underwhelmed by my last few boxes. This month was Luxe and my luxe box was anything but. It only had a couple of items I liked and will use. I’m paid up for the annual with Allure but already cancelled them awhile back because of how bad the boxes are. Next up is Ipsy if things don’t turn around. I just can’t justify spending money if I am going to get things I either can’t/won’t use or are insta brands and not proper companies. I’m all for indie businesses but there is a difference between a small trendy business and those businesses that buy bulk product from China and slap their own label on it. BC and Ipsy are putting a lot of those kinds of ‘businesses’ in their boxes.

Well another month of boring spoilers/choices. I cancelled last month affer I saw the choices for Luxe & Base – and these make me glad I did. And then to hear the Alamar palettes are being sold for $12 in Pop Up?? Remember when something like that used to be $6 or even $9? It’s just not much of a deal now at all. I have been much happier spending the money from my Boxy on Indie makeup or new releases from Sephora.

Has anyone tried the Alamar Bronze & Brighten Trio? I have light cool toned skin so I prefer bronzers that lean more cool and I also prefer matte bronzers (the Alamar don’t appear matte, so I’m hoping they are more of a satin finish and not shimmery). I like the shades in the medium palette too so I’m wondering if they could work for light skin too. I wish boxy would price these palettes at $6 each and I’d grab one in light and medium. $12 is more than I want to spend on one palette that I don’t know how I’ll feel about once I see/use it in person.

Unlike other long time subscribers who commented, I was happy with the choices this time. My biggest problem was choosing between the Farmacy cleanser and the Alamar palette. I had no interest in the Ofra or Illamasqua palettes. I love Farmacy products and always need a good cleanser. I also like Alamar products and I’ve had my eye on the bronze n brighten palette since it was first released. I received the blush trio in the past and there’s just something I love about having sister and companion palettes. I’ve been hoping the Alamar bronze n brighten trio would show up in my boxycharm eventually but sucks it came up against another choice item that I need more and would realistically get more use from. So as much as I want to try the Alamar trio, I picked the Farmacy cleanser. I thought about picking up the trio in add ons but $12 is too much for an item I already have plenty of at home.
For the record, I only subscribe to the base box and luxe upgrade, not premium. So although I’ve seen some of the choice items show up in various spoilers and sales, I’ve never received any of the choice items in one of my boxes. (Five year sunscriber.)

At least the bronzer palette was available in three shades. Since the one I originally got wasn’t really dark enough for me, I picked up the dark toned one. But yea, they keep offering me palettes I already have.

Unbelievable!! ALL items but the Farmacy are repeats from past boxes!! This is seriously infuriating! It literally left those who have been subscribers for a while with nothing but ONE choice!! Way to offload your overstock Boxy!!

Not missing you yet, Boxycharm!

I was not very happy with choice this month! I already received both the Ofra and the Illamasqua palettes in my previous Boxycharm boxes so that just left me with the Farmacy cleanser-which I like Farmacy but have a ton of cleansers already and same with the Alamar bronzer- I love Alamar products but have a ton of bronzers already! I went with the Farmacy & I guess I’ll just keep it for when I go through my stock of cleansers. This isnt fair to long time subscribers who already have these items! It would be fine if they put one item from a past box but 2?! Come on now Boxy….

I went with the cleanser, too for the same reasons. Oh well. it can’t hurt to have a Farmacy product in my stash.

Hm. This is definitely not my favorite choice I’ve seen for Boxy so far, especially since the Illamasqua and Ofra palettes were just recent item in boxes this spring. Both are excellent palettes, but just kind of disappointing to see repeats so fast. Additionally, the Alamar palette feels familiar – did we recently see something for them in the same vein? All of the products perform well, they’re just not super exciting since we’ve seen them so much lately.

I thought I had seen the Alamar bronzer in a past box too but wasnt sure! I know I already have their blush palette which looks very similar with the same outside packaging so I thought maybe that’s why I thought I had seen it before.

I have 3 of these from past boxes

I no longer subscribe to BoxyCharm, but weren’t the Illamasqua and Ofra palettes in recent BC boxes? But I may be mistaken about these being repeats so soon.

Yes both were choices for premium

I definitely remember the Ofra palette

I chose the Farmacy. I’m the Farmacy oil this month, it’s a good way to build a collection.

Choices were underwhelming. Went with the Alamar because you could choose your skin tone- looks like a good travel palette

I really like the Alamar brand. They have some great products!

I chose the Ofra because I love their formula. But honestly, nothing super new and exciting in this choice or add-ons.
