Amen Sherri! I don’t know why I even look at the comments anymore. It’s mostly negative, unhappy comments that are not going to improve the situation. Constructive criticism is the best route.
Maybe some of you miserable women need to find another hobby…or have a cocktail. Relax!!!

It seems in my opinion, that if they are not getting
paid or receiving the box for free it’s not be spoiled.
Example saw nothing for Macy’s this month. Definitely not checking more than once a day.

I’m okay with alerts for Sephora kits because it’s sort of like a sub box with samples, and they used to have a sub…but the random stuff like this doesn’t really have any relation with subs.

I received that red sparkle lipstick in my IPSY Plus a few months ago and it is so beautiful it makes me teary eyed. I’ve never used it because I don’t want to mess it up! I know that sounds silly but seriously it has these gorgeous red sparkle stripes going down the sides and it is just the most beautiful red. Lipstick is my favorite thing and I think this is the prettiest one in my collection.

I also received one of the lip glosses awhile back and I use it all the time. Which really says something because I hate lip gloss and usually won’t touch the stuff. Her formula is really nice in my opinion. It does not feel like your typical gloss and the color payoff is nice as well.

I really wanted that eyeshadow palette when it was offered from Boxy a few months ago but it was the month I finally decided to cancel all my Boxys outside of the base box and I believe it was offered through one of the other tiers. If anybody received it I would love to know how it performed. I’m also interested to know if anyone chose that sparkle lash & brow topper in their IPSY Plus? I almost chose it, it but to be honest I was just at a loss to think of a single place I would ever go that would require sparkly brows. And after I realized that I got a little sad for a minute and decided maybe I needed to make 2021 the year I participated in an activity that would call for sparkly brows. I am open to suggestions from anyone 🙂

This looks like an awesome collection although I’m pretty sure only Lady Gaga could get away with 3 BLACK EYELINERS!!!!! 🙂 I like that the rest of it is stuff that totally looks wearable. I am impressed that those highlighters look so subtle. I kind of expected them to be able to be seen from the moon given her usual level of glam. Anyway, if I had an extra $250 laying around I would be very tempted to get this. For now I think I will just break out my 10 year old CD and listen to it instead.

Not been feeling it from MSA lately too, but they’ve always alerted us to limited items for sale. So… another tacky comment eh?

These types of posts have been a regular staple on MSA since I’ve started following them 5 years ago 🤷‍♀️

Most of us enjoy it. We like finding about about the off boxes and other deals outside of monthly and quarterly subscriptions.

Personally, I don’t mind being alerted to beauty sales from a brand that often features in ipsy. I won’t get this particular package, but alerting us to this sale is the same as alerting to a Tarte build-your-bag event, which no one objects to (and isn’t a sub).

Exactly – there are many things MSA alerts us to that aren’t specifically sub boxes, or even things from companies that issue sub boxes, that no one complains about, and many are happy to learn about. The Tarte build-your-bag event as you mentioned, recently there was a free t-shirt offer from Universal Standard, Sephora favorites kits, Ulta Beauty Finds kits, Target beauty boxes, Huda Beauty, Too Faced, etc. mystery bags, etc. etc.

I completely get it that there have been changes within MSA recently that many (myself included) do not enjoy, and yes, it gets frustrating, but it seems like now some readers are just waiting for an opportunity to notice an error, or a post they personally don’t like, to pounce on it with a snarky comment. If the goal is to get MSA to reconsider the recent changes, I feel like reaching out to them with constructive criticism would be more effective than dropping random snarky comments. If it’s just that someone doesn’t like what they see, then it seems like the solution is to save themselves some trouble and not visit the site. JMHO.

Speaking of the Tarte Custom Bags, does anyone know when those are going on sale again? It’s usually May or June. 😀

Stephanie

I agree 100%.

Pilar

Right!
