You may know Jay Cutler as the former quarterback of the Chicago Bears or as the soon-to-be ex-husband of Uncommon James founder Kristin Cavallari—but now, he’s behind a new butchery subscription box aptly named CUTS.

Jay Cutler and celebrated butcher Pat LaFrieda have teamed up to bring Jay’s lifelong dream of owning his own butcher shop to your doorstep.

This is CUTS: Monthly Subscription Boxes of Fresh Protein.

Welcome to a match made in meat heaven.

Right now, CUTS has two different subscription boxes to choose from:

Jay and Pat’s Picks #1 will include nine pounds of beef and pork every month, which may include fresh, boneless cuts like a 12-ounce, USDA Prime New York Strip or an 8-ounce, USDA Prime filet mignon. Other possibilities for this box include sweet Italian sausages, pork rib chops and four of CUTS’ exclusive Brisket x Beef Belly Blend Beef Burgers.

Jay and Pat’s Picks #2 is pork-free and will include nine pounds of beef and chicken every month, with selections like antibiotic-free chicken breast and tenders in addition to the beef selections listed above.

Each box costs $195/month as a one-time purchase. You’ll save 5% a month when you opt for a three-month plan and 10% when you choose a six-month plan.

There’s also a one-time Greatest Gift Box Ever available that costs $175 and includes:

  • (2) Fresh, Prime, 16oz T-Bone Steaks
  • (2) Fresh Prime, 12oz Boneless NY Strip Steaks
  • (4) 6oz Jay's Blend Burgers
  • (1) 1lb Pack All Beef Hot Dogs
  • (1) 1.5lb Pack Sweet Italian Sausage

What do you think of this new subscription?

I think my comment might have been censored because I criticized Culter and said I wouldn’t give him money because of the kind of guy he is and his p o l I t I c s. I hope that’s not a case because every dollar we spend is a reflection of what we support and don’t.

Bg my reply clearly wasn’t to you. I was replying to what Mary said.

If you don’t want to buy his products because of his political stance that’s fine! But you comment wasn’t posted and was censored probably because you mentioned “he who should not be named” and you really can’t blame MSA if that was the case.

Thanks Pillar. I specifically didn’t mention who it was and I mentioned it’s not the only reason I don’t support Cutler. If anyone else cared and didn’t know they could google it. For all my comment said half the country could think I meant the other guy.

Kelly I don’t understand your comment. If I have a right not to buy meat from him – how is that canceling him? I’m exercising my right. I didn’t tell anyone else what to do or even what his politics are.

Kelly

The baker has a right to refuse to make a cake for anyone for any reason. Just like you don’t have to buy meat from anyone you don’t want to. Nobody should be canceled for their opinions even if you disagree with them.

Mary

Choosing not to buy a seller’s product for their unkind political stance is cancel culture but a baker denying a cake and his services for a gay wedding is not?

jen

I don’t even know who this guy is or his politics but I’m so over cancel culture!

Not buying meat from someone is cancelling them 😬

Julia

So his political opinion is diverse from yours and you don’t like diversity. Got it.

This is way excessive pricing! Especially when 6 of the 9 lbs is meat that should be $5 or less per lb (at least where I live!). Crazy pricing. Can’t imagine anyone purchasing even once! I custom order my beef and pork from a cattle company – free overnight delivery and prices are less than half of this….

I know who Pat Lafria is. Who is Jay Cutlef?

Kristin

Haha ex-quarterback for the Chicago Bears. Short lived career in NFL.

JOE

Short lived career? I didnt know 12 years was short lived.

Vic

Kristin — short lived career? Lol he was a first round draft pick and then played 12 seasons. What do you consider a long career?

Tat

…and my typing goes down even further. Honestly did not know who he was.

Jamie

If Jay Cutler delivers the first box with a hug, I’ll consider it. Otherwise, $20 a pound is a bit too premium for me. I live in an area with lots of local, natural meat choices at more reasonable prices.

$21.66 a pound! Not supportable.
