Based on a summery theme, here's what Ipsy has to say about their latest designs:

Inspired by sunshine and rainbows (does it get any better than that?), this month’s playful bag lineup nods to childhood nostalgia, self-expression, and summertime Pride celebrations. “I wanted to design a colorful bag that brings positive vibes—a bag that will make you smile when you look at it,” designer Joanne Wong explained. Mission = Accomplished. I just skipped June – wasn’t excited by spoilers this month (see my other post where I explain how you can see them)

They do – they’ve been on the IPSY site for a while – just see that mysubscription addiction isn’t pulling them off the obvious site spoilers – can’t understand this at all since it’s one of the most popular subscriptions

Agree! mysubscription addiction should definitely put the ipsy plus spoilers up for June. I see they’ve just added some for July. Hmm. Dropped the ball on June! 🙁

Is anyone else still waiting for their Glam Bag X? It’s the 24th and there is no end in sight. It took one full week to move from NJ to GA. A week? Did someone walk it there? WTH? I’ve been emailing back and forth and they truly couldn’t give a rat’s ass. After contacting CS I was told to message them back if I haven’t received it by June 3rd. You have got to be kidding me.

Still waiting on mine! It finally moved and may be here today. Unless that’s my FFF, then it’s still sitting in IN. Ugh. This is why I reviewed my items even though I don’t have em. Cause last time they removed the option before I got my bag. And guess what? They did it again. So I’d have lost points on those reviews too.

I got my Glam X 4 days ago. The big circle shaped tape seal had been cut & 1 of my choice items was missing (the mirror.) my box had been resealed by USPS with the tape from them stating that.
I’m sure shipping issues have happened with various shippers but EVERY TIME mine is initially shipped via Pitney Bowles it sits for at least a week with no movement. Then all of a sudden it’s listed with a USPS tracking number but status is “awaiting package” for about another week.
I know it’s just not that serious in the bigger picture but it’s frustrating that this keeps happening & Ipsy does nothing to find better shipment options.

Thanks girl. I feel the same, it’s not important, I’m not even jazzed about anything in it except a few items I added on and paid extra for. I’m finished going back and forth with them. The gifts used to be more appropriately “priced” at 300 pts, now they’re 600 and they are worth maybe $2/3, PLUS you have to be current to cash in pts, so 600 points PLUS another $12. I don’t need it.

Hey. Go into your account settings, then click on manage membership all the way at the bottom. Check your email after, sometimes you have to click a link there to complete ending your membership.

Well, this bag is pretty terrible. I had to laugh at the 2 yr old with some stickers comment. Last month was cute but the people that got the GBX didn’t get it so that is disappointing that I missed that and now get this one.

Sometimes I wonder if the Ipsy design team throws some stuff at their team leader just to troll them. “What do you bet they won’t touch this one?”

At least they’re easy enough to pawn off on people, especially if you know anyone with young girls.

Has anyone seen spoilers for the June Glam Plus? I am on the fence of canceling but want to see the options. The items have not been very good lately and the promoted items seem to have only gone out to very few. It’s sad because I always loved Ipsy but they really have gone downhill in the last year or so.

I am noticing the PLUS spoilers are few and far between anymore. And late if at all. They must have too many people opting out last minute??

Maybe if y’all are just gonna complain then don’t. Didn’t your mommas teach you that if you don’t have something nice to say then don’t say anything? The bag is cute and may not be for some, just like all the other bags. If you don’t like it, don’t get it but I think it’s nice they don’t want them all to look the same, that’s boring and isn’t the purpose of Ipsy to branch out?

1) As paying customers, subscribers have the right to express their likes/dislikes. Businesses cannot sustain themselves if they don’t get to hear feedbacks from all sides.

2) “If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all” does nothing but teaches children to accept what they find unacceptable, and grow up to be pushovers…or liars…or both. What’s constituted as “not nice,” anyway?

3) By stifling people and shaming them into silence, you’re just going to have them unsubscribe without ever letting the company know why.

4) Being patronizing with “didn’t your mama ever teach you […]” is what’s rude here, not someone stating that they find the design unattractive.

I guess the bag designer (k) is deeply offended by the “this is not cute remark.” Then she will REALLY hate my saying I am cancelling my june because that is a fugly bag and no, its not my job to explain that to ipsy. Its quite obvious that just throwing a bunch of stickers on a bag is poor design.

I’m not saying people should not voice their opinions just that I think there is better ways to go about saying it. I think it should be constructive instead of a few comments that I saw where it was “this bag is not cute” and yadda yadda. I think for the lovely ladies designing the bags something more positive is the right way to go.
I am all about children and adults voicing their opinions which is why we have a platform to begin with right?
I didn’t mean it to be “rude” just that sometimes we tend to say things without thinking of how they could effect others, such as the person who put in all the time and effort in creating this design. If what I said hurt your feelings or came across the wrong way I didn’t mean that, just that it’s important to take others feelings into account.

I think too that everyone needs to remember that Ipsys client base is so broad in age. Some of the bags that come through may be disliked by the younger crowds, and some are disliked by the older crowds… i buy ipsy subs for quite a few people all at different ages. You can please some of the people some of the time, but you cant please everyone all of the time.

This really cannot be called a ‘design’ you could have asked any little girl to apply stickers and make sure they have good space between them- done. It’s ugly.

I agree. The bag does look like someone just applied stickers to it. It’s disappointing and will probably get donated to my 2 yr old granddaughter. That said, Ipsy must try to appeal to different tastes. I loved the May bag. They finally came out with a pretty one. Not this one.

I can’t stand the design, it looks like it’s for late elementary school, or possibly early middle school at most. AS someone who hasn’t loved all the bag designs, I was excited to think they were improving when I loved the april and may bags. I enjoy the products in ipsy so I won’t skip but I have no idea what to do with the bag.

I agree. Cute is cute, and fun is fun, but this is just way too childish. I love getting bags, and use them for all kinds of things. The items I receive are often disappointing, so if I really don’t like the bag, I skip. it doesn’t happen often, but I’m definitely skipping this one.

My bff who has her profile very skincare heavy got both the Charlotte Tilbury cream & the Ole Banana bright cream. She didn’t get an eyeshadow palette at all. She also got the ABH brow pen. She said she wasn’t offered the Sunday Riley CEO.

I’ve got my profile more skincare focused but I think I’m going to redo it. Maybe I need to up my age to a more mature age idk

I am 54 and i have my profile skincare heavy and still no luck. I dont think they use the profile at all, honestly. I have dark hair, medium toned skin, and i get a “blonde” eyebrow pencil…”whattt???”. With all that said, i do like most of their products even though i give most of it away to my daughters and granddaughters…

Yeah, just when I think I’ve got my profile where I want it (a few times I’ve received 2-3 months in a row of what I consider good bags) it seems to be followed by 2+ months of meh or bad bags. I’m in the same age group you’re in & I’ve upped & lowered my age by a lot of years thinking Ipsy sets their own arbitrary age line where subscribers are either young & adventurous or old & fuddy duddy. I think Ipsy has maybe 5-7 variations of bags & we tick a certain number of boxes for a couple of products & then whatever else they want to put in that box is the one you get.

I give all my bags to my kids or donate to a shelter. I really have NO use for them usually, although this month I did pick the travel case in my X bag. Only because I didn’t like the other choices.
My kids will enjoy the fun design and will probably use them for L.O.L pieces.

Still no Ipsy bag reveals for May?? Does anyone work here anymore??? I guess I’m officially done. The content has been going downhill for awhile and other sites are giving spoilers days ahead of this one. Boo!

MSA posted Ipsy bag reveals for all three bags on April 1st. Glam bag and Glam bag Plus are a pretty pink with a floral pattern and glam bag X or Ultimate (i can’t remember which it’s called) is a solid color pink.

I know 4 people who get the glam bag X and all four of us did not receive the Charlotte Tillberry item nor was it available for add-ons so I’m so curious how many really received it other than influencers

I didn’t get it either and was disappointed. Plus getting the Modern Renaissance which I already have. The only thing making it worthwhile is getting the cute little mirror. I used to look forward to reading what everyone’s getting here on MSA.

A good number of people actually did receive it based on bag reveals I’ve seen on Reddit. It looks like Ipsy is actually modeling X on what BoxyCharm used to more of, with the “OR” variations. X subscribers received Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream OR ABH Modern Renaissance OR One/Size Visionary palette.

Hi, I’m not an influencer but i did get the magic cream. My profile is very heavy on skincare and light on makeup so maybe that’s why. I didn’t get an eyeshadow pallet but I’m fine with that as i already have the abh one and didn’t want the other one.

No Charlotte Tillberry here. Ipsy picked products that I’ve marked as rarely. Glam is starting to feel like Glam Ultimate … disappointing. My 3rd group was extra disappointing, the Riki mirror was marked not available.
