I really like this concept, but the execution is terrible. I would love to see other build your own box options, but at a decent price point. These are way too expensive and the only ones worth adding had a big up charge that made the box no longer a bargain.

This is absurd. $11 per essential oil or a bathroom cleaner? And ten the nerve to state no returns because we’re getting “incredible bargains”???

Seriously is anyone going to get this joke?

Anything that would normally cost more than $11 has an upcharge.
The blankets are sold out but those are the only things that *might* have been worth the price but honestly if you’re super tempted by this sale, give yourself $100 to spend at TJ Maxx or Marshals (they have a pretty great online selection) and see which cart you would rather buy.

I’m relieved that I’m not the only one who was puzzled by the pricing; I just didn’t see the value when I looked over items that didn’t cost extra to include in your box for the base box price. I’ve had two awful mystery boxes in a row and was intrigued by being able to choose my own items. Could have been a good idea. Pass.

This appears to be no deal. You get five items for $55 unless you pick some of the price of your items which add a premium to your order.

The items you can add that don’t add an up charge are things like snacks, pouches, deodorants etc… There isn’t a Hero item unless you pay extra. $11 an item doesn’t seem like a deal.

Agreed. I am not paying $11 for a single air freshener or 4oz popcorn.
Wish they’d done this in a way that would allow everyone at least one hero item. They could separate the items into tiers based on value and allow a pick from each tier, similar to the FabFitFun model.
The extra $10-$20 per desirable item makes this really unattractive to me.

That’s a really good idea, NiceCamel, with the hero item or tiered levels. Makes way more sense (and is less insulting) than charging $11 for stale popcorn or an air freshener 😝

Jennifer

It’s an interesting concept, but with the extra $$ for some if just made the price a bit high. I tried selecting the 20 box since there was a large enough variety of things I liked, but it was going to be about $200 for my picks when I calculated a personal value of about $135, so I passed.

Anyone else having trouble seeing the items on offer?

The cotton throws are all sold out. The other items just don’t seem worth $11 each to me. These guys are dreaming! The gift sets are nice but they want an extra $20 for each one. Ridiculous! Dream on.

I agree too. I looked through it even though I know I wouldn’t get it, $11 per item is too much especially when good items are an additional $20. They’re dreaming 💭.

I agree. I’ve never gotten a B&C box but this intrigued me as I always like at least one item per box. The prices are too high. Those gift boxes are pretty, but add on an extra $20??? That’s a nope.
