Birchbox’s June 2021 customization options are live now for Aces subscribers and will go live for everyone on May 27th.

Subscribers have three sample choice options for their June 2021 boxes:

Sand & Sky Australian Emu Apple Super Bounce Mask

Defeat the dull and bring back the bounce with the Emu Apple Super Bounce Mask! Antioxidant-rich Emu Apple and Australian Glow Berries brighten and protect the skin from dullness and pollution. Uniquely formulated to tackle tired skin, our Australian Glow Berry dream team just won't quit, boosting the skin's Hyaluronic Acid production to bring back the bounce.

Kakadu Plum, the world's richest source of Vitamin C, jumps in to light your skin up with a megawatt glow. A unique 5 layer complex of Hyaluronic Acid hydrates skin for a moisture boost while ultra-nourishing Jojoba Oil seals that softness for long-lasting results.

Bumble and bumble HIO Primer

This do-it-all leave-in hair treatment defrizzes and detangles dry, coarse, or brittle hair, plus protects from heat, the sun, and breakage. Its blend of six featherlight oils helps soften and tame hair without making it heavy or greasy.

Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser

This foaming face wash gives pores the deepest clean possible (without any dry out) using a clay-based formula, which clings to bacteria and dirt before gently washing them away.

If you don’t want to select any of those choices, you can opt for this month’s curated box: Clean Beauty.

Swapping your tried-and-true products for clean alternatives is easier than you think! Start your clean beauty journey with us here or find a new favorite with this month’s picks.

The Clean Beauty Box contains the following five samples:

Pur-lisse Matcha Green Tea + Lemon Detoxifying Charcoal Mask

This Detoxifying Charcoal Mask removes impurities while refreshing your complexion. Clarify your pores, and smooth your skin with this exfoliating facial treatment.

Dr. Botanicals Lemon Superfood all-in-one Rescue Butter

Lemon Superfood all-in-one Rescue Butter is a multi-use, high-performance butter which can be used as a moisturizer and treatment. The 96% natural formulation is packed full of minerals, antioxidants and vitamins which work together to rejuvenate, renew, and invigorate dull and dry skin.

Hero Cosmetics Lightning Wand

Lightning Wand zaps dark spots with a trio of advanced brighteners, glycolic acid, and sheer color-correcting tint — so you can bounce back after a breakout.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Primer

Award-winning, clean, 94% natural, hydrating + makeup-gripping gel primer. Formulated with hemp-derived cannabis seed extract + blue agave extract. Aloe water, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide (vitamin B3), + sweet cherry help provide additional moisture and antioxidant benefits for a healthier-looking base and glassy glow. Silicone-free, oil-free, clear formula works across all skin tones. For normal to dry skin types. Allow formula 1 minute to absorb.

Minimal-ish PMS Soothing Oil

When you feel crampy-ish. Roll directly onto any area that feels sore or crampy.

Another option is to swap your box for this month’s full-sized product: Sunday Riley Tidal.

A lightweight, oil-free gel-cream for instantly glowing, dewy skin. Two forms of advanced hyaluronic acid infuse water into the skin. Gently refining papaya enzymes smooth the look of textured or dehydrated skin, for a baby-soft complexion. Alpha-arbutin brightens the appearance of discolorations for clear radiance.

As always, you have the option to swap this month's box for points if you'd rather not receive anything for June.

The Box: Birchbox

The Cost: $15.00 per month + free shipping. Save with longer subscriptions.

The Products: Each month, subscribers get a new mix of 5 deluxe beauty samples, such as makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance items.

Good to know: Birchbox lets you choose whether you’d like a box of items picked just for you (including one item you get to pick out yourself), or a 'curated' box fully chosen by Birchbox. You can also shop full-size items to add to your box, if you’d like.

Well by the time I got around to choosing, both the SR and the curated box were out of stock, so that’s fun.

Update- I tried editing my BB selection (I had chosen the B&B). The clean box became available, but the SR was still sold out. But at least I was able to switch to the clean box. I’m not sure if someone had canceled theirs or if they just added more available boxes. So keep checking!

Everyone can now pick their choice, however the Sunday Riley is out of stock but we all knew that was going to happen.

😒So I swapped for points. Is that their new game now? Instead of offering several curated boxes, entice people with a high-interest, high-value item, but provide only 20 of it?

Bethany

I swapped for points too. Knew the SR was a long shot not being an Ace, but bummed anyway.

Denise

My big issue with this points thing is I got points last month and combined with some leftover points went to get something. But I couldn’t buy it without paying for shipping. So I already paid for the box why should I pay more shipping costs? If I’m using points because they have nothing available that I want to charge me shipping is adding insult to injury… this is nuts

Lana

That Lemon Superfood balm thing sucks

Do we know for sure that the Sunday Riley is a full size (the 1.7 oz jar)?

Wonder how many they have (Aces select today and I am not an Ace).

Florence

Wondering the same thing! Last time they had a swap for Luna, they were out by the time regular members could pick…and I was heartbroken. Hoping they have enough sr for everyone that wants it this time!!

Florence if it’s any consultation, they were actually out of the Luna before Aces could get it too. I think they must have only had like 20 bottles or something! LOL 🙂

On another note, this is going to sound absolutely crazy and super silly of me but I LOVE THIS MONTH’S BOX DESIGN so much and if I get the Tidal (which I actually purchased a full size of during IPSY’s APRIL add-on’s sale but MY BAG STILL HAS NOT SHIPPED so who knows if I will ever get it) I won’t get the cute box. Honestly Birchbox has been so disappointing lately the only reason I’ve stayed subscribed is because they were my first ever sub box so I have a soft spot in my heart for them, plus I’m an ACE so it’s only $10 a month, and finally I LOVE the box designs so much! I hate to miss this one so I think I am going to choose the Sand & Sky product. I am extremely grateful to Birchbox because they introduced me to another Sand & Sky product (their exfoliator) and it is now my HOLY GRAIL so I would love to try something else by them.

Kelly

The email they sent out says it is full-size, worth $65.

Thank you Kelly! It will probably be out before I get to it tomorrow morning. If it is, I’ll swap for points.

Tiffany

Loving these choices!

Nat

Ahhh, I remember when we could choose from 4 curated boxes. Those were the times.

Jeanine

No, the times were when we got points for reviewing!!!! Miss those days!! Haha

Teresa

Wow, a full-size Sunday R. product. I’m very happy with this.

Penny

Whatever happened to a choice of several curated boxes?

Michelle

Birchbox stepped up this month for me! I love all choices!

Snow

I’m pretty impressed myself! I kind of want everything except that lemon rescue butter because it has alcohol in it.

Dea

Agree that it feels drying and I can only use this product as a hand cream.
