CaviAIR's Mother's Day Box with Ruinart X Black Seed Bagels

CaviAIR's Mother's Day Box with Ruinart X Black Seed Bagels

Just when we thought we’d seen it all.

We’ve written about subscription boxes for everything from cured meats to stationery to anime collectibles. You name it, we’ve seen it. That is until we learned about this Mother's Day collaboration box between Ruinart (one of the oldest Champagne houses), CaviAIR (a direct-to-consumer caviar company), and Black Seed Bagels (a New York City hotspot).

We’ve finally been stumped, so while we regain our senses, we’ll tell you what’s inside.

Some lucky mothers (maybe yours) will receive a bottle of Ruinart champagne, 250gr. of salmon roe caviar, assorted bagels, ramp cream cheese, pickles and pickled red onions, chocolates, a spice blend, and either a flower arrangement (for local NYC deliveries or pickups) or a $35 vase if outside of NYC.

The Mother’s Day box starts at $265 with options to add on varying quantities of other caviars (+$50-$168) or a caviar pack, which includes additional accouterments and a mother of pearl spoon (+$25-$35).

Let us paint you a picture: Maybe it’s been over a year since you saw your Mom (or whoever serves as a mother figure in your life), maybe last year’s Mother’s Day was a comedy of errors getting your parents to unmute every time they spoke on the family Zoom, or maybe you feel like celebrating the slight whiff of optimism in the air these days.

Whatever the reason, you walk into Mother’s Day 2021 with this box, and when you open it, there’s silence, though you can feel your siblings’ eyes burning holes into your back. You’ve won Mother’s Day, and the woman in your life gets to eat caviar and drink champagne like the queen you know her to be. You'll end with an act of magnanimity by announcing that all the siblings bought this gift together — just make sure they follow through with splitting the bill.

If you leave this Mother’s Day a little too comfortable with this luxurious version of yourself, CaviAIR has a monthly caviar club that will send you a tin or two worth more than your subscription price ($150 or $300).

I actually thought this would be 500+ just based on the headline. It’s expensive but doesn’t seem totally out of line for the type of products. Wonder how much shipping is to GA 🙂

Rose, that is nice to hear. I have never received a card or gift from my daughter in law, it would mean the world to me.
