Skincare That Does Good: Gemma Styles’ Feel Good Kit Now Available

Makeup and skincare should make you look good, but can they dogood?

Gemma Styles is here to make that happen. Gemma, a journalist and Harry Styles’ sister, has come out with the Doing Good Kit full of sustainable and environmentally-friendly makeup and skincare products. The kit is available on Feelunique, a European online beauty store for 69 GBP (about $96) and is packed with goodies that will make you feel good, while doing some good all at the same time.

“Self-care and sustainability marketing can be overwhelming. Through this collaboration I wanted to offer a way to sample more environmentally friendly products from a variety of brands in one place and for a fair price. By discovering more sustainable brands and making daily swaps, such as choosing recyclable packaging, we can all take small steps towards a greener life. Making conscious choices to be kind to yourself, and to others, is beneficial for wellbeing and mental health. Through purchasing this kit you are also contributing to funding for MQ Mental Health Research, helping to find treatments and solutions to mental health issues faced by millions of people. I’m so proud to be an ambassador for MQ Mental Health Research and I thank you for supporting both their cause and me in purchasing this product edit. I hope you enjoy the selection,” says Gemma of her inspiration for the kit.

Here’s what you’ll get:

Eco Beauty Bag
Made from dye-free and bleach-free paper - but surprisingly hard wearing, I have tested and splashed it myself, and we used water-based PU for the label, which uses up to 95% less water than traditional production methods, without the use of a harmful chemical called DMF, and reduces the carbon footprint of the material by 45%.

Face Halo Pro White
One Face Halo can be reused for around 200 washes and replaces up to 500 single-use makeup wipes! They can remove makeup on their own using only water, but I also like to use it alongside cleansing products too, as it reduces the amount of water I use to rinse my face.

Evolve Beauty Miracle Mask 30ml
Give me a chemical exfoliant over a harsh scrub any day - I love AHA products and this mask, made from fruit acids, is effective but gentle. Produced in the UK in a small, wind-powered studio and suitable for all skin types.

Ecooking Multi Balm 15ml
Multi-purpose options are excellent for reducing the amount of products (and packaging) we use. This moisturising balm is perfect for lips, eyebrows, dry skin and more.

Inika Long Lash Mascara 8g
Mascara is a staple in most people’s make-up bags and I will always be a volumising mascara person! This non-clumping formula is certified vegan, organic and cruelty-free.

Fekkai Brilliant Gloss Shampoo 60ml and Brilliant Gloss Conditioner 60ml
I’ve used these products for a while now. The shampoo is moisturising without making my hair greasy or weighing it down. These bottles are made from 95% recycled plastic and are 100% onward recyclable - they can go right in your home recycling bin.

We Are Paradoxx 100% Natural Hand Sanitiser Spray 75ml
Good hand hygiene is here to stay, protecting us and proving a responsible show of consideration for others, too. This spray formula is really lovely to use and also comes in a larger sized aluminium bottle so, if you enjoy this product, you can top up your travel size and save on packaging.

This Works Sleep Together Calming Spray 75ml
I’m a loyal user of This Works’ pillow sprays and love this version, which is suitable for the whole family (including pets!) to induce some calm as an evening room spray, as well as on your pillow at night. I’ve been known to use it during the day as well, to be honest.

e.l.f. Pore Refining Brush and Mask Tool
Using a mask brush has made using face masks way more enjoyable for me - and I find that I definitely waste less product through not having it stuck in bristles or under fingernails, to be washed away unused.

Neom Feel Refreshed Scented Candle 1 Wick
This fragrance from the Make You Happy range is fresh and uplifting as well as being proven in consumer research to improve your mood. Hand poured natural wax and fragrance from pure essential oils, I prefer this scent as a boost in the daytime.

Ethique Rustic Solid Deodorant 15g
Reducing product packaging by using bars is something I’m really keen to build into my routine. This deodorant is completely plastic free and, being solid, will be perfect for travel when the time comes.

The kit ships for free to the U.S. and most European countries. Feelunique's U.S. site is running a sale that does not apply to this kit, but applies to most other products on the site: Get 20% off when you spend $60+ with code HAPPY60, or 25% off when you spend $125+ with code HAPPY125. What good does this kit do besides put profits in her pocket? She mentions mental health but there’s no definitive amount set. She could give one dollar and her statement would be correct.
