We’ve already teased out what Khloé has picked just for you, but the below Khloé-curated products are the ones you might get to choose for yourself. Yep, these 10 can’t-miss choice products could be yours this May.

OLAPLEX No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment

MOON ORAL CARE Kendall Jenner Teeth Whitening Pen in Vanilla Mint

COLORWOW Pop + Lock Frizz Control and Glossing Serum

ONE/SIZE Eye Popper Sparkle Vision Liquid Eyeshadow Everything & More

M·A·C 80 Romantic Lashes

RIKI LOVES RIKI RIKI Cutie IPSY Exclusive

THE ROUTE BEAUTY THE PARTY PEEL

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt

MORPHE Continuous Setting Mist

DOSE & CO Unflavored Collagen Peptides

Your bag will include some of the following products based on your Beauty Quiz preferences in addition to the three you get to choose for yourself:

111SKIN Rose Gold Radiance Booster ($135 MSRP) *Every May bag will include this

Khloé’s secret weapon for skin that looks lit-from-within 24/7? This glow-enhancing serum. “This looks so fab on my bathroom counter, plus it reminds me to use it nightly,” says Khloé. It contains rose water and niacinamide to brighten skin, hydrating hyaluronic acid to create a plumping effect, and tiny light-reflecting gold particles to instantly illuminate your complexion.

RMS BEAUTY Lip2Cheek in Demure ($36.00 MSRP)

You know the perfectly flushed skin in all of Khloé’s selfies? She gets it with this! The creamy multi-use color combines the best of both worlds—quality performance and a good-for-you formula loaded with shea butter and buriti oil. Use your fingers to tap it on your cheeks, lids, and lips for a soft flush of color. “This looks just as good applied with a beauty sponge,” she adds. “Plus, it totally saves my long nails.”

TOWER 28 ShineOn Milky Lip Jelly ($14.00 MSRP)

Khloé is always ahead of the trends, so it’s no surprise that she’s a fan of this lip jelly from TOWER 28—one of the buzziest beauty brands on the market: “This gloss lives in my purse for easy touch-ups over whatever lip I’m wearing.” The vegan, cruelty-free, and dermatologist-tested formula is made with plant-based ingredients (like apricot oil and raspberry seed oil) to nourish dry lips and give them a glossy finish without feeling sticky.

M·A·C Love Me Lipstick in Bated Breath ($21.00 MSRP)

The perfect warm, pinky-nude lip look Khloé is known for? It starts with the right lipstick—specifically this one. One swipe (seriously, you don’t even need a lip liner) treats your pout to a dose of moisture (thank you, argan oil) and coats lips in weightless, long-lasting pigments and a soft satin finish. “I like to tap it on for a light wash of color,” she says. “You don’t even need a mirror.”

RODIAL Pink Diamond Cleansing Balm ($59.00 MSRP)

Using a cleansing balm at night is an absolute must when you’re wearing heavy makeup during the day. Regular face washes can’t always break down long-wearing formulas. This one easily dissolves foundation, eye makeup, and more with a luxurious melting formula. Plus, it’s infused with vitamin E, sweet almond oil, and rice germ oil to nourish skin while you cleanse. “After my glam team goes hard with a look, this cleanser is a lifesaver at night,” says Khloé.

HERBIVORE Prism AHA + BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial ($58.00 MSRP)

When a glow-boosting facial at your favorite spa isn’t an option, this at-home exfoliating treatment (it’s a regular in Khloé’s routine) is the answer. Apply a thin layer on clean skin, leave it on for 20 minutes, and let the alpha and beta hydroxy acids work their magic to improve your tone and texture. Your complexion will look noticeably smoother, softer, and clearer after each use. “After a long day of shooting in glam, this saves my skin from breakouts,” says Khloé.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Charlotte’s Magic Cream ($100.00 MSRP)

Charlotte’s never-skip step when it comes to prepping her client’s skin for makeup? A layer of her iconic Magic Cream. It instantly reduces dullness and redness with antioxidants and floods skin with moisture (thank you hyaluronic acid) to plump fine lines and wrinkles. Whatever makeup you apply on top will go on super smooth and look perfect in pics. “This makes me glow even on my no-makeup days,” says Khloé.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Pen ($22.00 MSRP)

Bold, beautiful, camera-ready brows are a Khloé Kardashian signature—and this multitasking pen makes it easy to score the look in just a few strokes. The specially-designed brush has a superfine tip (don’t worry—it doesn’t skip or dry out) that helps create realistic-looking brow hairs so you can add detail, definition, and dimension to your arches. Khloé’s trick: “I pretend like I’m drawing on little hairs, and my brows are perfected in no time.”

KOSAS The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara in Intense Black ($26.00 MSRP)

“If you’re lash obsessed like me, you’ll be obsessed with this clump-free volume,” says Khloé. Not only does it make lashes look amazing—it’s good for them, too! A few coats of the cruelty-free, plant-based formula gives teeny lashes instant thickness, lift, and length thanks to a blend of volumizing waxes, strengthening vitamins and peptides, and moisturizing castor oil.

ONE/SIZE Visionary Eyeshadow Palette ($42.00 MSRP)

Whether you want to create a low-key look for your morning Zoom or a high-key look for date night, this 15-shade palette has got you covered. It’s filled with influencer and makeup artist Patrick Starrr’s favorite shades—from bright cobalt to shimmery rose gold—and Khloé happens to love them, too. “I stick to the top row for day-to-day glam,” says Khloé. “On the weekends? I’m all about that blue.”

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Modern Renaissance Palette ($45.00 MSRP)

This versatile eyeshadow palette is packed with 14 shades that range from neutral to berry in matte and metallic finishes—all with Khloé’s stamp of approval: “These pink shades are so major! I love how feminine they make me feel.” The best part? You don’t need expert-level makeup skills to use these shades like a pro—they’re easy-to-blend, highly-pigmented, and produce zero fallout.

Your May bag will include three more products that you get to choose (Personalization is on 5/2–5/3).

  • Kopari CBD Recovery Balm
  • Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette
  • The Route The Party Peel Golden Illuminizing Peel
  • Complex Culture Rose Quartz Gua Sha
  • MAC Cosmetics Lipstick
  • RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek Tint
  • ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr PATRICK STARRR Visionary Eyeshadow Palette
  • Dose & C0 Collagen Peptides

Did anyone else get charged full price $58.58 for bag? I have a yearly glam bag subscription not monthly and I’m not getting the regular bag just the Glam X and was charged full price.

Reply ButtonReply

Brittney

I was charged this exact price, it included the $55.00 for the Glam X and State tax.

I will trade you the Tower 28 lipgloss in Coconut for Cashew.

Not super thrilled with my selections:

111 skin serum
Brow pencil in shade blonde – I’m a brunette
MAC lipstick
O/S palette – got a palette last box, didn’t want another
Rodial cleansing balm – definitely have way too many of these at the moment, which I got from Ipsy

I chose:
SR CEO glow
Olaplex treatment
Mirror

Does anyone think Ipsy actually looks at your preferences when they choose your products? The one item I would have been thrilled with wasn’t even an option for me to choose.

Reply ButtonReply

Annette

I am pretty happy with my bag, but I am getting the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pen in Blonde, I am dark red to light brown hair color, so if anyone wants to trade even for it I would love the Soft brown or a bit darker color. Let me know, TIA

Reply ButtonReply

Sav

I am also getting the blonde brow pencil and am a brunette, ugh.

Reply ButtonReply

Kenley

I got to say I am disappointed in the items that were selected for me by Ipsy. I have been getting great bags here lately, so naturally I was hoping for another win this month.

I got:

111 Skin
Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pencil (I won’t use this)
Rodial Cleansing Balm (I won’t use this one either)
Tower 28 Lipgloss in Cashew (I have preferences set to pink not poo brown)

I picked:
Christophe Robin Scalp Scrub
Sunday Riley CEO oil (I didn’t even realize this was not the 1 oz size when I selected it)
Mirror (I’m actually excited for this one)

While I did get to pick 3 good products, I’m not sure $55, even quarterly, is justifiable when I’m getting only 4 products I actually want or will use. I think this month they missed the mark for me. The first one was amazing and customized to fit all of my preferences. I might give it one more try.

Reply ButtonReply

Bridgette

I got the same ipsy picks and love them! Out of the choices they had I would have picked the same items. I do agree with you that I would have preferred the pink lipgloss over the brown. Luckily it’s a lipgloss so the color will just be a tint and not bold color. Sometimes they send me colors that I would normally never chose and about half the time it surprises me and looks great. Also a cleansing balm that melts away even the most stubborn makeup and nourishes the skin sounds amazing. If you don’t want yours I will gladly trade you for it. ^_^

Reply ButtonReply

Sav

Totally agree with you, I’m thinking of canceling X.

Reply ButtonReply

Lovelee988

Happy with what I got
111 Skin
Ole banana under eye
CT Magic Cream
ABH eyebrow
Milky Jelly Gloss in Cashew
My Picks
Oleplex
SR CEO
& I choose the bag
Add ons Oleplex 3 sample
Tula the sample pads

The last x was makeup heavy so glad this is skincare heavy. It will balance if that’s the way the next 2 go.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

I got the same picks from Ipsy. I like them except that the ABH is in blond. I have medium brown hair, so a blond eyebrow pen def won’t work. I picked Olaplex 0, SR CEO, and gua sha. I bought the Osea one from a boxy sale and really liked it, but then my husband dropped it in the shower and it broke. I’m happy.

Reply ButtonReply

Peg

I would be too if I got all the most sought-after items like you did. Not fair for those of us that didn’t get the Charlotte T or Ole Henriksen etc. We are all paying the same amount and should all get bags with equal value. I’m super irritated and feel jipped – so please stop bragging and have some sensitivity for those of us that Ipsy completely ripped off. Hope you enjoy your little haul🙄

Reply ButtonReply

Lovelee988

I wasn’t trying to brag or being insensitive, just posting the reveal like everyone else. I do this often (sometimes under different name).

JJ

Don’t be so negative! What’s a desired item for you may not be for her or others? Be kind and move on😘

Jennifer

We got same items picked from ipsy

Reply ButtonReply

Melanie

I have two accounts and i got the exact same 5 items in both. I got the ABH palette which I already have, an ABH brow pencil in caramel (I hate brow products never use them and it looks like the color is all wrong for me anyway), the Tower 28 lip in Cashew (a hideous brown color), the 111 Skin of course, and the Rodial cleansing balm I prefer a foaming cleanser never use balms and haven’t especially liked the other Rodial products I’ve gotten before. I hate this bag. I was under the impression that everyone would get the Herbivore or the Charlotte Tilbury. I was hoping to get one of the Ole Henrickson items preferably the banana primer. My choices were terrible even worse then the items they choose things like the Kylie whiting pen. A bunch of stuff I never heard of before. I ended up picking Christophe Robin which I already have like 10 of, but I do like, some charging thing the less terrible of my choices, and The Route Beauty party peel which I’ve never heard of, but again sounded less terrible then the other choices. Between all three choices I didn’t have a single product I really wanted. I wish I had cancelled what a waste of money. I thought about cancelling, but am hoping the August will be better?

Reply ButtonReply

Danelle

I ended up with the same things. 111, ABH, cashew brown crap, Rodial, eyebrow stuff but in onyx. I micro blade my brows so onyx will not match or even be needed.

I had the same choices and really didn’t like much. I went with SR CEO, the bag because I could use it and Morphe setting mist. The choices were so bad. The mirror was fine otherwise I would have chosen then

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

My comments never post seems like? I got the magic cream, bright eye, 111skin, brow pencil, lip balm, color wow, mirror and the party peel☺️

Reply ButtonReply

Brittney

Not happy at all with this- I think I will just sell everything on Macari or Poshmark once I get it. I should have known to back out once they revealed who was curating this one.

111SKIN Rose Gold Radiance Booster – Eh! Not happy, No elated either.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS – Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette- It’s so basic and I hate neutrals.
ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS- Brow Pen in Blonde – My hair is Dark Brown- Why?
HERBIVORE BOTANICALS Prism AHA + BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial – Eh! Not happy, No elated either.
TOWER 28 Shine On Milky Lip Jelly in Coconut- I haven’t worn lip gloss in 10 years, I am a long wear lipstick kinda girl, even during Covid, no thank you lip gloss! I have lip glosses marked out in my profile too so why?
CHRISTOPHE ROBIN- Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt – My pick. Not much choice, at least I like the scent!
SUNDAY RILEY – C.E.O Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil- My pick. – Eh, this whole bag is face care heavy and I was wanting makeup. Not much choice, but at least I have heard it’s ok.
DR. BRANDT SKINCARE pores no more® VACUUM CLEANER- My pick, Not much choice. It works tho.

Reply ButtonReply

Kenley

I got your bag except I got the Rodial instead of the Herbivore and got an ugly brown lipgloss shade. I would have preferred the Coconut one. I love lipgloss and wear it everyday. It’s weird Ipsy would send me brown when they always send me the pink ones normally. I hate my bag and will be canceling. I will just start buying the products I really like off of EBay instead of getting all of these filler products I won’t use. Like many, I wanted the Charlotte Tilbury. Of course I didn’t get it. When that happens, I go to Sephora’s website to read all the one star reviews to make myself feel a little better about not getting it 😂😂😂

Reply ButtonReply

Brittney

That’s a great idea just buying the makeup off of Ebay at a fraction of the price!

Anita

I wasn’t offered the Ole Henriksen products or the Charlotte Tilbury. Unfortunately, Ipsy chose the Patrick Starr palette for me. It’s just so similar to 10 other palettes I currently have and I’ve seen lots of negative reviews so I doubt it will get used.

I did get to choose the Rikki mirror that I wanted and the Sunday Riley CEO. Even the add ons weren’t that great to choose from. I’m sure that everyone getting the 111 Skin product should have been an indicator that I wasn’t going to get much else that was valued very high. I do think it’s kind of hmmm that the SR CEO is .5 oz and not the true full size 1 oz.

Reply ButtonReply

Anita

The train case bag was tempting but since I got the leopard print one from Ipsy Ultimate I passed. They look really similar to me

Reply ButtonReply

Nikki

Exactly!!!! I only signed up because if the Charlotte tillbury, herbivore, ole products and NONE were offered. What a disappointment. I thought for sure at least one of these products would have begun an option!!! Not even an option on add ons!!

Reply ButtonReply

MzBev

Nikki, yes, that is how X will be, They said they had many want the option to get a bag and not have it automatically included, so, you will have to pick it. I didn’t in Feb and I missed getting one. I did choose it this month.

Nikki

Oh… and I had to choose the bag as one of my choice options?!? I thought it was included??

Nikki

I won’t get sucked into the next “best” bag option again!

Brittney

Agreed’s making the Sunday Riley CEO a .5 oz and not the true full size 1 oz was a cop-out by IPSY and I wanted the Charlotte Tilbury too and didn’t even get it as a option.

Reply ButtonReply

MzBev

C’mon M S A, can we get the new posts up soon?

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

Since Liz left MSA this site has gone way downhill.

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

At least I know I’m not the only one that sits here and waits for these posts every month! Lol
I got…
111skin rose gold
ABH palette
ABH brow in Ebony
Prism AHA+BHA
MAC lipstick in bated breath
Oleplex
Party Peel
Mirror… Wanted the Dr Brandt instead 😥 but I already had 2 other exfoliants in my bag and figured I really didn’t need another!

I had some bad choices, but the overall bag turned out ok. I really wanted that CT magic cream!

Apricot

Strange, isn’t it?

Reply ButtonReply

MzBev

Its strange that they keep being so far behind. Last month we were left waiting until the afternoon. I wish they would keep up with how well it used to be run.

Ashleigh

I hope so too. So strange to have crickets about a bag we all were anticipating so much!

Apricot

I know, right? Hope everyone’s ok.

Michelle

There’s only been one post today … does anyone work here anymore?

Virginia

Ipsy Picks:
-111Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster
-Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
-Kosas Mascara
-Rodial Pink Diamond Cleansing Balm
-Tower 28 Milky Lip Jelly in Coconut
My Picks:
-Olaplex No. 0
-Sunday Riley CEO Glow Face Oil
-Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner

Pleasantly surprised! I had my fingers crossed for the Magic Cream and getting that was all I needed for this to be worth it. The only thing I’ll probably regift is the 111Skin. I’ll be on product overload now but the rest is all things I’ll use by brands I’d actually buy myself. Hoping others got bags they like as well!

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

Heads up (no pun intended). The Olapex will require you buy the 1,2, or 3 or it is useless.

Reply ButtonReply

Virginia

Thanks for the heads up! Fortunately I have and use those already so it was great to get this as one of my choice items 🙂

Amy

No fair Virginia – how did you get the magic cream ? Who’s sack are you fluffing and tickling at Ipsy ? LOL

Reply ButtonReply

Apricot

I got the magic cream too, quite disappointed to report there has been no fluffing or tickling.

Ruth

Wow! They picked a lot of good items for you. I’m ok with what I got and was able to choose, but there’s no really amazing item. I’m actually pretty disappointed about getting the Patrick Starr palette. I’m 56 and too old for crayon colors.

And please help me, someone, with the rose gold serum we are all getting. What will that do for me?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I got the 111skin, magic cream, bright eyes, brow pencil, lip gloss, mirror, color wow and route beauty… wish I had would of gotten something other then then the gloss but I am happy overall

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

I have brown hair and got a blonde eyebrow pencil. Also got brown lip gloss when my profile says rarely for that color range. Great job “Khloe” haha. Live and learn will be cancelling the X. My Plus follows my profile very well.

Reply ButtonReply

Brittney

Same, I gave dark brown hair and got the blond eyebrow pencil too! I should have known to back out once they revealed who was curating this one. I will be canceling the X too!

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

What a ripoff!

I get a brow pencil for redheads and I am light blonde

No Anastasia Palette – I got that visionary palette that I will never use. Its reviews are awful.

No Charlotte Tillbury of course

Ipsy sends the good things to Influencers and uses them as teasers like the rest of us will get anything.

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I did get to choose the mirror so I guess that is good.

Of course Kardashain only put her name on this bag of crap for a million dollars or so and Ipsy does its own hideous matches.

Reply ButtonReply

Koreen

I set my alarm to make sure I got into choice early because I really wanted to try the Charlotte Tillbury cream. Sadly it wasn’t available for me as a choice, or an add on. (It is actually why I upgraded to the X box)
Was it on anyone else’s choice menu?
Disappointed that I couldn’t get it in add-ons either if it wasn’t going to be offered to me as a choice.

Reply ButtonReply

Bandaa

I wasn’t offered CT Magic Cream nor Herbivore Prism in any category. I was able to choose at 7:00 a.m. EDT.
Ipsy:
*111 Skin (Will re-gift)
*ABH palette (I don’t have it though it seems similar to the Feb Huda palette)
*MAC Lipstick (This shade will NOT work for me)
*RMS Beauty (Not a fan of cream blush but will try)
*Ole eye cream (Redemption! Looking fwd to trying)
My choice:
*Riki mirror (Excited! The thing I wanted most)
*CR salt scrub (Have a couple trial sizes but full size is welcome)
*Party Peel (Happy to to try this as well)
*A few add-ons.

It could have been worse, but February was better for me. I’ll have to see spoilers and who will be “curating” August to decide about another GBX. I’m usually very pleased with my regular GB.
I hope everyone finds a silver lining in the cloud! 😊

Reply ButtonReply

MzBev

I was hoping for the CT too, but nope – not an option. I did select the train case bag, which I did want!

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

Of course it wasn’t. Ipsy is the Master of Deception and Lies. I am through with them!

Patrick Starr palette – cheap cheap cheap crap from another influencer
Sending me a brow product for redheads when I am pale blonde with fair skin
Prism mask
111 Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster we all are getting
I did choose
Ceo Luna Face Oil
The mirror
Mac Lipstick (I can wear since it isn’t too brown or pale nude)
Christophe Robrin Scalp scrub (I do love this)

I added on
Exfolikate
Lip Mask
Eyeshadow primer
111Skin Daycream (if I am getting that rose gold radiance I may as well get this).

I hate hate hate Kardashians and I hate being deceived by Ipsy. It could have been worse I suppose. I could have ended up with that Kendall Jenner tooth whitening or protein powder made of beef collagen.

My Glam Bag X is another box full of crap

Reply ButtonReply

Teresa k

It was an Ipsy pick for me.
I’m very happy with my bag. Mostly skin care.

👍❤ mostly skincare is what I love too. 111 skin is so overpriced for what it is though.

I actually have 2 Glam Bag X accounts and the CT was not offered in either bag or add-ons. Neither was the ABH pallette, Kosas Mascara or the Ole Henrickson products. I got stuck with the Patrick Star pallette twice (which I didn’t want). Also the 111 Skin product is really disappointing 😑.

I agree. 111 brand is so overpriced. This one was a basic Niacinamide serum. I love niacinamide, but it is already in almost everything else I put on my face. 🤷‍♀️

The CT wasn’t one of my choice items either. I feel vaguely disappointed and complicit. I got to choose my own disaster 😂

Okay I just was surprise billed- twice- I wasn’t expecting a glam bag x until August I guess spots opened up, and I really hope the charge is only for one because that will be annoying to sort out- but anyways I haven’t paid attention to any of these spoilers, not expecting to get it and I cant decide if this is a really happy surprise or an incoming truck-load of products I don’t need LOL.

I’ve been researching the choice items because none of them really excited me except for the Riki mirror- which I’m recieved about, because what if I wanted all of them? It’s nice being able to make a decision ahead of time. I decided on Olaplex 0 and the mirror, the third is just going to be a random click of a button, haha. I’ve only ever done the standard Glam Bag, so I’m hoping for a good assortment of products. Charlotte Tilbury, Tower 28 gloss, and the Kosas mascara are the ones I want to get. I figure everyone is getting an eyeshadow palette the gua sha tool, the 111Skin (obv). Overall, that’s a great value, even if I end up gifting some things to someone else.

I find it hilarious that they claim Khloe will pick your 5! Does anybody really believe that? I don’t even believe she curated most of this box or uses a single one of these products (except for the collagen powder). At most she was given a variety of products to choose from for her “curation” but I honestly doubt that too. I was going to get this but cancelled. Too much variation happening here and I kinda wish they wouldn’t attach a celebrities face to the box by paying them an ungodly amount of money and instead keep prices down. At the least I hope it was worth it and brought in enough new subscribers to offset cost.

Here’s how I think it will play out…based on the last Glam X Bag: We already know everyone is getting the 111skin. So:
1. 111skin

2. Eyeshadow pallet (either ABH or Patrick Starr) My fingers are crossed for ABH, even though I don’t need anymore palettes and am still trying to get rid of the HUDA palette from the last GLAM X :/

3. I think everyone will get the Complex Culture Tool thing a jig (UGH) Hope I’m wrong..But seems like majority got the tool in last Glam X

4. This one makes me VERY sad..but just my opinion..either CT or Herbivore. (I WANT BOTH..I will go cry now…boo)

5. Last but not least…no Matter what our profiles say or Ipsy claims that they follow our profile..we all are gettin a lip product or a black mascara or a black eyeliner..HAHHAH..I can’t even..insert eye roll

Then of course will be our 3 choices: And of course ALL of the good products will be lumped in the same categories…don’t get me wrong..I am excited for a few things..and they will make the bag totally worth it..but I really do wish IPSY would pay closer attention to profiles and give us more choices! Until then…waiting on May 2nd….

That sounds about right and is exactly why I cancelled. The two main items I want (the abh palette and the CT cream) are both ipsy picks and if I don’t get them then no other combination would make it worth me spending $55 on. I’m not really even thrilled about the abh palette but I definitely wouldn’t use the other one and I hate 111 skin which is the only guaranteed item.
