We have more confirmed spoilers for the May 2021 Ipsy Glam Bag X!  Ipsy Glam Bag X is the new quarterly, limited edition upgrade to your monthly IPSY membership.

The May Glam Bag X will be curated by Khloe Kardashian:

The hottest launches, the biggest names, and Glam Bag X exclusives—it’s all yours with May’s limited edition drop.

Choose 3 of your products during Ultra Personalization, 5/2–5/3, and Khloé will custom-pick 5 more products for you to discover.

Here are the choice products for May:

We’ve already teased out what Khloé has picked just for you, but the below Khloé-curated products are the ones you might get to choose for yourself. Yep, these 10 can’t-miss choice products could be yours this May.

OLAPLEX No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment

MOON ORAL CARE Kendall Jenner Teeth Whitening Pen in Vanilla Mint

COLORWOW Pop + Lock Frizz Control and Glossing Serum

ONE/SIZE Eye Popper Sparkle Vision Liquid Eyeshadow Everything & More

M·A·C 80 Romantic Lashes

RIKI LOVES RIKI RIKI Cutie IPSY Exclusive

THE ROUTE BEAUTY THE PARTY PEEL

CHRISTOPHE ROBIN Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt

MORPHE Continuous Setting Mist

DOSE & CO Unflavored Collagen Peptides

Your bag will include five of the following products based on your Beauty Quiz preferences in addition to the three you get to choose for yourself:

111SKIN Rose Gold Radiance Booster ($135 MSRP) *Every May bag will include this

Khloé’s secret weapon for skin that looks lit-from-within 24/7? This glow-enhancing serum. “This looks so fab on my bathroom counter, plus it reminds me to use it nightly,” says Khloé. It contains rose water and niacinamide to brighten skin, hydrating hyaluronic acid to create a plumping effect, and tiny light-reflecting gold particles to instantly illuminate your complexion.

RMS BEAUTY Lip2Cheek in Demure ($36.00 MSRP)

You know the perfectly flushed skin in all of Khloé’s selfies? She gets it with this! The creamy multi-use color combines the best of both worlds—quality performance and a good-for-you formula loaded with shea butter and buriti oil. Use your fingers to tap it on your cheeks, lids, and lips for a soft flush of color. “This looks just as good applied with a beauty sponge,” she adds. “Plus, it totally saves my long nails.”

TOWER 28 ShineOn Milky Lip Jelly ($14.00 MSRP)

Khloé is always ahead of the trends, so it’s no surprise that she’s a fan of this lip jelly from TOWER 28—one of the buzziest beauty brands on the market: “This gloss lives in my purse for easy touch-ups over whatever lip I’m wearing.” The vegan, cruelty-free, and dermatologist-tested formula is made with plant-based ingredients (like apricot oil and raspberry seed oil) to nourish dry lips and give them a glossy finish without feeling sticky.

M·A·C Love Me Lipstick in Bated Breath ($21.00 MSRP)

The perfect warm, pinky-nude lip look Khloé is known for? It starts with the right lipstick—specifically this one. One swipe (seriously, you don’t even need a lip liner) treats your pout to a dose of moisture (thank you, argan oil) and coats lips in weightless, long-lasting pigments and a soft satin finish. “I like to tap it on for a light wash of color,” she says. “You don’t even need a mirror.”

RODIAL Pink Diamond Cleansing Balm ($59.00 MSRP)

Using a cleansing balm at night is an absolute must when you’re wearing heavy makeup during the day. Regular face washes can’t always break down long-wearing formulas. This one easily dissolves foundation, eye makeup, and more with a luxurious melting formula. Plus, it’s infused with vitamin E, sweet almond oil, and rice germ oil to nourish skin while you cleanse. “After my glam team goes hard with a look, this cleanser is a lifesaver at night,” says Khloé.

HERBIVORE Prism AHA + BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial ($58.00 MSRP)

When a glow-boosting facial at your favorite spa isn’t an option, this at-home exfoliating treatment (it’s a regular in Khloé’s routine) is the answer. Apply a thin layer on clean skin, leave it on for 20 minutes, and let the alpha and beta hydroxy acids work their magic to improve your tone and texture. Your complexion will look noticeably smoother, softer, and clearer after each use. “After a long day of shooting in glam, this saves my skin from breakouts,” says Khloé.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY Charlotte’s Magic Cream ($100.00 MSRP)

Charlotte’s never-skip step when it comes to prepping her client’s skin for makeup? A layer of her iconic Magic Cream. It instantly reduces dullness and redness with antioxidants and floods skin with moisture (thank you hyaluronic acid) to plump fine lines and wrinkles. Whatever makeup you apply on top will go on super smooth and look perfect in pics. “This makes me glow even on my no-makeup days,” says Khloé.

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Brow Pen ($22.00 MSRP)

Bold, beautiful, camera-ready brows are a Khloé Kardashian signature—and this multitasking pen makes it easy to score the look in just a few strokes. The specially-designed brush has a superfine tip (don’t worry—it doesn’t skip or dry out) that helps create realistic-looking brow hairs so you can add detail, definition, and dimension to your arches. Khloé’s trick: “I pretend like I’m drawing on little hairs, and my brows are perfected in no time.”

KOSAS The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara in Intense Black ($26.00 MSRP)

“If you’re lash obsessed like me, you’ll be obsessed with this clump-free volume,” says Khloé. Not only does it make lashes look amazing—it’s good for them, too! A few coats of the cruelty-free, plant-based formula gives teeny lashes instant thickness, lift, and length thanks to a blend of volumizing waxes, strengthening vitamins and peptides, and moisturizing castor oil.

ONE/SIZE Visionary Eyeshadow Palette ($42.00 MSRP)

Whether you want to create a low-key look for your morning Zoom or a high-key look for date night, this 15-shade palette has got you covered. It’s filled with influencer and makeup artist Patrick Starrr’s favorite shades—from bright cobalt to shimmery rose gold—and Khloé happens to love them, too. “I stick to the top row for day-to-day glam,” says Khloé. “On the weekends? I’m all about that blue.”

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS Modern Renaissance Palette ($45.00 MSRP)

This versatile eyeshadow palette is packed with 14 shades that range from neutral to berry in matte and metallic finishes—all with Khloé’s stamp of approval: “These pink shades are so major! I love how feminine they make me feel.” The best part? You don’t need expert-level makeup skills to use these shades like a pro—they’re easy-to-blend, highly-pigmented, and produce zero fallout.

Your May bag will include three more products that you get to choose (Personalization is on 5/2–5/3).

  • Kopari CBD Recovery Balm
  • Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette
  • The Route The Party Peel Golden Illuminizing Peel
  • Complex Culture Rose Quartz Gua Sha
  • MAC Cosmetics Lipstick
  • RMS Beauty Lip2Cheek Tint
  • ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr PATRICK STARRR Visionary Eyeshadow Palette
  • Dose & C0 Collagen Peptides

Oh man, I was really hoping for the mirror and the CT cream and the Patrick Starr palette, I didn’t get any of them and they weren’t in my choices either.

Ipsy chose for me: ABH palette (I already have this), 111 skin, Ole Hendrickson eye cream, MAC lipstick in a really dark color and RMS beauty lip & cheek product.

I chose the train case, Olaplex and Kopari CBD balm.

I liked the 1st Glam Bag X a lot better.

Koreen

I set my alarm to make sure I got into choice early because I really wanted to try the Charlotte Tillbury cream. Sadly it wasn’t available for me as a choice, or an add on. (It is actually why I upgraded to the X box.)
I also wasn’t offered the brow pen, herbivore mask, or cleansing balm.
Was the CT cream on anyone else’s choice menu?
I’ve always rated moisturizers high.
Disappointed that I couldn’t get it in add-ons either if it wasn’t going to be offered to me as a choice.

I need to quit reading box spoilers, cause it makes me sign up, but then don’t get the stuff that I was excited for.
I did get the oleplex that I wanted though, now I’ll just have to get no. 3.

Reply ButtonReply

LP

Ditto, super disappointed that I didn’t get the CT cream or Prism cream. My Ipsy picks were mediocre at best, got the Anastasia pallet that I’m looking forward to trying but also awful color mac lipstick that I will likely regift, mascara, radiance oil and a primer.

Nice surprise to see CEO glow as choice as hadn’t seem that listed anywhere and I use love this so chose that (thought it’s the smallest 15ml size rather than the larger size). Got the Olaplex and mirror. Not bad but really wanted to try some of the high end moisturizers and something new.

Haylee

Yeah… I upgraded in hopes of the Charlotte Tillbury, Herbivore, or Soft Glam. I got none of them and feel pretty underwhelmed, to be honest. There was nothing terrible.. just was hoping for ONE item that I was excited about. Now, it just feels a bit like a waste.

I also have not received the April glam bag.

Reply ButtonReply

Apricot

Wow Koreen, that stinks, I’m so sorry, I would be super disappointed also.
The CT cream was one of the selected for me items and the reason I actually subscribed. I’m altogether (wasn’t offered the Anastasia palette anywhere which I did want) super happy with my bag and choices, however, I can’t actually allow myself to feel excited given Ipsy’s dismal follow through. I have yet to receive my April bag and March’s was cancelled altogether at the very end of the month even though their cs said it was shipped and on its way — a bald faced lie as it never shipped at all. So, we’ll see..

Reply ButtonReply

Jenell

This is first ipsy x and I’m excited! I’ve set my alarm for the choice options that open up tomorrow.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenell

Ah that sweet naive girl.

Reply ButtonReply

LP

How were you picks? Did you get what you were hoping for?

Carrie

I’m so excited for the hair care products this month and not one is a dry shampoo! Olaplex and Christophe Robin are amazing brands. I’d be happy with either or both. The Anastasia pallet looks great too. Not a fan of the lip or other eye products. A few of the creams look good. Looks like this box can be either really good or really bad. Guess I’ll find out soon!

Reply ButtonReply

Kate

Chill morality police. 🙄🙄🙄

Reply ButtonReply

Therese Allen

Dang I was really hoping the CT cream and pallets would be part of choice 🥺 I’m so hoping to get the CT cream and the Anastasia pallet. The tower glosses look nice. 😊🤞🏻 Praying I get the two products I want most that’s literally why I signed up.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

This is choice spoilers. Of course the items are part of choice.

Reply ButtonReply

Katie P

I’m just hoping for the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and the Riki Loves Riki mirror! Herbivore is good, but it needs to be refrigerated since they’re scared of preservatives. I’m disappointed that CT isn’t a choice item… I signed up because they made it seem like I could. Oh, well. I might cancel after May anyway, I’m on product overload and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a good send-off.

Reply ButtonReply

amyr

I hate to support anything that trashy Kardashian/Jenner girls but here I go…

I am getting this bag. I will give Ipsy one last chance, Most are good but there are some loser products. I am vegetarian she I don’t use collagen because they tend to be bovine or fish scale collagen 🤮

I don’t want false lashes. I like the Mac lipstick. I did the try it on and it looked good. I can’t wear really light lipstick. Every makeup artist I have used said the same. But this color isn’t super brown which I hate. I can’t use teeth whitner because my natural teeth are very white already because I have them whitened at my dentist.

Gosh I hate 111 Skin. It sucks ducks 🦆 and is overpriced and the formulas are not consistent.

Brows, cream blush, lipstick, the Anastasia palette (not some made in China crap) and the CT cream. The little mirror looks adorable.

Deep down I know I will be disappointed. I always am. But this is a leap of faith for me. I apologize for the long post. But I need to vent to like minded people. My poor husband probably gets tired of my Ipsy woes.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

If I sign up now, will there be any possibility that I can get the May Glam X? Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I signed up a week ago and got off the waiting list today. So try it. You might get in also!

Reply ButtonReply

Gene

Nope. It’s sold out. If you sign up now you’re waitlisted for August (I already tried because my silly self got super late FOMO even though I know I don’t actually *need* more stuff, lol)

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Thanks Gene. What a pity that I stuidied all spoilers but found I can’t get the box lol

Dianne

Am excited everything is good for me. But one problem I want both palettes. 😘

Reply ButtonReply

Latasha

I’ve been with Ipsy every since it has been a Ipsy. Ive subscribed to every bag they have launched each failed. They are getting worse. April is my last subscription. I can’t do them anymore just canceled.Just like I canceled all my Boxy Charms last month same thing. It has come to an understanding these subscription boxes are nothing but a waste of money and rip off bc you’ll eventually get the same product in another subscription box later on. They are not matching your beauty quizzes. Im sticking with my very 1st box TestTube. 6 x a year is fine with me and I love everything about it.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

So all these separate companies must band together and share your data to ensure that you’ll never receive the same product more than once? How revolting that they don’t. How dare the brand give a product to more than one sub company and more than once in twenty years. Outrageous.

Reply ButtonReply

Bae

Clearly you have zero idea how this really works. Ipsy doesn’t buy any of the items. The companies give products to Ipsy in return for reviews. Most companies aren’t exclusive to Ipsy. So Ipsy isn’t buying from other subs. 🙄

Marion

Julia, Ipsy now owns BoxyCharm, and there has definitely been an increase in repeated products from the two boxes. Either Ipsy is buying the excess stock from BoxyCharm, or now that Ipsy owns BoxyCharm, there’s no exclusivity clause. Examples: the Illuminati x Isa palette (IIRC, this palette was launched with Boxy), the Kosas tinted face oil (& blush duos), the Violet Voss Essentials 2 palette (as far as I can tell, this is not available anywhere but the VV website, Boxy, & Ipsy), etc and so on and so forth.

Further, what’s really upsetting (to me) is that Ipsy house brands Item Beauty & Complex Culture have been spotted in possible future product surveys from BoxyCharm.

Julia

Nope. Read what she wrote. Sub boxes are a ripoff because sooner or later you’ll get a product again from another company. What a scandal.

Amy

I think you took that and ran far away with it. You totally missed the point. 🤣

Amy

absolutely disgusting they’re featuring two of them, and 111. Such a shame ipsy.

The mirror looks cute and a few other items seem fine but I thought GBX was supposed to be MUA curated and instead they’re featuring a reality star and letting her feature her sister’s branded item. Such a joke

Reply ButtonReply

Jade

Brutal! I think you either like the products or you don’t. I’m not seeing anything super different than what Ipsy usually has. So, does it really matter who is the collaborator? If it does, skip! I find this type of ripping people apart truly abhorrent. Everyone wants to make a living and shouldn’t really shock anyone when someone has work done. If you don’t agree with photoshop, don’t use it. If you don’t want lip injections, don’t get them. If you don’t want to make money with your influence, don’t! Be a more positive light in the world by propping people up and helping people out.

Love & light. 🕉

Charlotte

I’m glad stuff like the whitening pen, collagen supplements, and fake lashes (none of which are things I use) are choice items. I would be really happy with any of the five Ipsy picks products, though I would prefer the ABH palette over the Patrick Starr one (but I’m sure I could trade).

Reply ButtonReply

Kenley

This has potential to be a great bag or a really disappointing bag if my choices have been like my GBP choices as of late. There are so many good products here that I want. I hope some of these will be add-ons.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy Nicole

I just really, really want the CT. I am hoping it’s a choice between the eyeshadow palettes and/or some of the higher end skincare. I would be happy with most of the products shown but l want the CT and the Herbavore more than anything. The mirror is cute as well!

Reply ButtonReply

Kenley

Most of the time the products I really want end up in the same category 😂 I hope that is not the case this time.

Reneekathryn

I think these choices look great! I am most excited about the OLAPLEX No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Treatment and the ONE/SIZE Eye Popper Sparkle Vision Liquid Eyeshadow Everything & More for choice items but I like most of what is listed. Not crazy about a teeth whitening pen, only because I am not sure how much that sort of thing actually works. 🤷‍♀️ Seems gimmicky.

I am not a fan of Khloé, but I don’t think it’s ok to pick on her about her appearance. Whether she was born that way or decided to look that way, it’s not nice to talk about someone like that. She never asked to be a role model. I am all for positive body image and may not agree with the ways she wants to represent herself but that’s ok. I just keep scrolling. That’s all. Feel free to add your unhappiness about my comment here 👇.

Reply ButtonReply

amber

The Olaplex No. 0 is supposed to be used with the No. 3. They’re giving you half a treatment. I know it says in their instructions that you can use it alone, but it’s stressed that you won’t get the best results…which if you’re spending that kind of money on their products, you may as well do it right.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

Seriously? I’m not responding to your comment with unhappiness as you stated, but confused and amused that you say she didn’t ask to be a role model. Lol…the Kardashians would sell their souls to be considered “influential”. A position they didn’t really earn and sadly don’t live up to, they’re just plain awful.

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

You are so correct. I’m not sure why Ipsy thought anything Kardashian would be a good choice. I wonder who their fan base is because I don’t know anyone who likes them or watches their show. I would never contribute to them in anyway by purchasing their products etc. I don’t feel sorry for them at all. They catapulted to fame based on a sex tape. The Mother is a poor example of a parent and they are all money and fame hungry and the list goes on. Through all the plastic surgery they are poor examples for girls and young women by setting unattainable beauty ideals.. These are facts – not suppositions or opinions. I don’t think we need to pretend they are great or virtue signal in attempt to defend them. I will get the bag next month but I certainly won’t be choosing any Kardashian products. I hope next time Ipsy does a better job selecting an influencer that better represents their customer base.

Tiffany Nicole

She definitely asked to be a role model even though she shouldn’t be and none of her family should be. She puts herself out there as a role model, influencer, etc.

Reply ButtonReply

Makeup86

I wish we could pick to not get that lipstick. I do not wear dark colored lipstick ever and I definitely don’t wear turd brown. I always seem to get these dark colors and all I can think is they don’t sell so they keep wasting them in boxes. (Like, here, we didn’t want to, you throw this out.) Of course I want the ABH palette (the One Size palette didn’t seem to get good reviews and I watched videos on it) and also want the Charlotte Tilbury cream, but I feel those things are teasers that I’ll get to watch influencers try while I have more eyebrow product, another mascara, and a eyeshadow palette that I doubt is selling well at all. My first X bag was pretty good, so we’ll see I guess.

Unless their new powder foundation sells well, I expect One Size to be a dead brand by 2022. I just see no excitement over it even though lots of people like the creator.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

I will keep my subscription for now, but really only want the Charlotte Tilbury. I keep asking them to send brow stuff “rarely” because I got microblading and now don’t use any at all, and ever since I changed it I get some kind of brow product every month.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Smc, they don’t allow opt outs now.

Smc

You can email Ipsycare and opt out of one type of product. Not brow gel or brow pens, but all brow products for example. Likewise you can’t opt out of hand lotion or body lotion, but all moisturizers. Did that with eyeliner 2 yrs ago and still haven’t used up all the black ones I acquired before that. Ha. Highly recommended. You can always change it in the future if your preferences change too.

Susan

I agree. I wished they would have gone with a more natural lip color since its not a choice product

My favorite product last month was the Laura geller tint foundation. This month I not fond of any the products. Hoping they will swap well.

I liked my standard ipsy bag a lot better this month

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I am loving this bag but I have never subscribed to it. Would anyone be able to explain a couple of things:

1. What’s the price I would pay for this bag (I don’t have basic Ipsy subscription right now so how many $$ will it add to the $12 if I get it)
2. The top 10 items mentioned – do I get to choose any 3/10 (eg Christopher Robin, MAC, Olaplex) or would it be a surprise that I get any 3 out of the 10

Sorry it’s very confusing

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

To add on to what Marie said, there’s also a possibility you might not get the chance to choose any of these. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Ipsy decides which items to show you or not show you.

Reply ButtonReply

Angel

Also, check to see if anybody knows waitlist status for May. I heard that some are still on the wait list, but I’m not sure how to check Ipsy to see if they have open spots for May’s X or not. I signed up at the beginning, and my X is upgraded from my Plus (I also get regular). I tried to skip my plus for a month (I hated the bag design), and Ipsy told me that if I skipped it would cancel my X and put me at the back of the waitlist line.

Reply ButtonReply

Sanam Khangura

I just logged into my ipsy account and there was a pop up that said “May X Spots are Filled Due to High Demand. Grab Your August Spot Now.

Jennifer

I got cancelled for skipping April. I’m not too bummed out as there are only a couple items that interest me in this May X, and they totally botched my Feb X. In the end I only got two of the eight items, a partial refund of $15 for two items they claimed we “sold out” (but were not, they are selling the babelash right now as an add on for more money) and 4 “substitution” products which were not as good as the ones in my order confirmation. Swapping out the Huda Rose Gold for a Belle en Argent palette less than half the value was especially annoying.

Marie

It’s $55 total for May (that includes the $12 and this would replace your regular bag). You get to choose 3 items but there will be categories. You can only choose one per category. Sometimes there may be several things you want that are all in the same category but you can only choose one. There will be other items to choose from that aren’t mentioned in the spoilers as well.

Marion

Soooooo relieved to see the whitening pen & collagen supplements are Choice items that I can refuse! 🎉

Snow

Wow this entire post could be a drinking game! Every time it mentions “Khloe,” take a sip.

Everyone is entitled to do beauty their own way, but to alter one’s appearance so drastically and to put so much emphasis on how one looks, I just don’t think she’s a good role model especially for young girls. Her newest migraine commercial doesn’t even look like her.

Reply ButtonReply

Jules

Yeah, she looks like a different person in each picture she posts of herself. I wish no one looked up to this family in general. They all use photoshop and plastic surgery to promote damaging, unrealistic beauty standards.

Reply ButtonReply

Snow

I agree. As women it’s hard enough going through the whole ageing thing as is and even harder when we are bombarded by these unrealistic plastic faces. To add insult to injury, many deny having any work done!

On a happier note, People magazine is doing a whole feature on natural beauty (no make up.) Seeing and reading about these women who dared to bare it all (their face that is!) was truly inspiring. I need more of that in my life. Filters, Photoshop, and plastic surgery all do the opposite and perpetuate unrealistic and unreasonable standards for people, especially women.

And that is why I appreciate this site; the reviews are done by real people who want to share their unboxing experience. There’s no trickery or fakeness and I can see actual skin in the photos. Win win.

Amanda Dee

Was just thinking “Why would I get product recommendations from someone who relies on photoshop/facetune to achieve the look?” Maybe the bags come with facetune lessons because that’s the only thing I’d trust her about!

I agree! Isn’t this the same name brand of the larger mirror Jessica got in her Beautylish bag and loved so much? I’m excited for this! Anything that helps me find those errant eyebrows is a winner for me! My house has terrible lighting in every single room (bathrooms included) and this would be awesome to have. Plus it’s a cool way to try and see if it would be worth the money for the larger one. I hope this is a choice for me!

Ugh im probably going to cancel my X subscription before I even get my first bag. While I am interested in the hair products that are available for choice im not interested enough in the rest of the products to pay so much for the subscription. I also don’t love the curator of May’s bag and don’t want to support Ipsy collaborating with people like that.

I agree with you. I didn’t want to support the collaboration.

Agreed. I won’t spend a dime on anything that supports that family. Shame on Ipsy for promoting them.
