@ Lori, you said that you prefer Ipsy. Did you not know that Boxy Charm Sold to Ipsy? I personally hated Ipsy. They send products I have never heard of and and didn’t do to good of a job with matching my beauty quiz. Boxy sends all of the superb boxes to the influencers and youtubers. And yes, they have been sending more and more junk fill in products.

Yes I know that. They don’t seem to have fully merged yet and I don’t see any blatant changes to either box as of yet.

You’re welcome to your opinion. I don’t comment on here to refute or dismiss anyone else’s experience and I’d appreciate the same courtesy.

Well said Lori

I like my box this much. I got the dragon lash, klinger vit-c mask, touch in sol primer, tweezers and Natasha denona palette

@Nicole I feel about the same as Melanie, Elemis its nice but there are other products out there that blow them out of the water. Specifically, I used the Elemis collagen marine cream, heavily fragranced and felt suffocating on my oily skin and didn’t see any benefits above my go to moisturizer. I also went through a bottle of the Pro collagen rose facial oil and again, didn’t see any results and prefer my Sunday Riley oils. That being said, skin care is so personal and works differently for people it might work brilliantly for you.

Ive tried a bunch of subs and this was the one i kept. I usually like enough in my box to cover 2x of the cost. The brands are great and would be great gifts. Premium gives you advanced access to the add on / pop up store where you can buy stuff at a very high discount – which is fun if youre more into collecting from specific brands. I’s gotten spongelles, mac lippies, viseart/violet voss/huda/ace beaute palettes and a lot more from these sales. Its a fun lil something to look forward to every month which is too tempting that you need to set a maximum spend before looking at whats available in these popups.

JCN Premium and Luxe members no longer get early access to the sales. Everyone gets access at the same time now. I was holding on to both boxes for that reason alone but Boxy sent a notice a couple of months ago that they have now changed it. Just an FYI for anyone who didn’t realize and maybe wants to change their subscription level. 🙂

These look great! That palette is so pretty! I am always afraid to try Boxy though. It seems like not that many people get stellar boxes they are happy with and aren’t they known for throwing in cheap filler items that aren’t in the spoilers? I just don’t know. Sigh…someone just talk me out of it, or talk me into it…whatever.💁😂

Unrelated, but I’m going to ask because I know y’all will have some feedback for me. How do you feel about the Elemis skincare line? I’ve been wanting to try it through some swaps, but it’s everywhere in boxes and pricey, so is it worth the hype or is it just another “it’s ok, but nothing special here” brand? Is it good enough that it’s something you would purchase at full price?

I personally LOVE Boxy, I’ve subscribed since November 2020 and have not had a bad box yet.

Elemis is AMAZING. I use their Superfood facial wash, day cream, night cream, Cica hydrating serum, and their peptide night mask (I’m spacing out on the exact name). I love every single thing I’ve tried by Elemis, I buy it on Mercari or eBay or other sites where it’s at a discounted price.

Boxy is okay, but honestly, I can’t recommend it as I always sub for a month or 2 for the pop up sales or a great free gift and then regret it when I get my boxes. They do send lots of filler crap now more than they used to, but like someone else said, if you like one or 2 nice items, it may be totally worth it to you. For me, it’s not and a lot of stuff just goes to waste. I prefer Ipsy GB Plus much more. I just like and use more of the stuff Ipsy sends me.

I received an iconic palette last year. Its huge! It seems like most of the reviews hated it but I loved it. I feel like if you are wanting high impact colour and statement makeup you wouldn’t like it. I like a more subtle look right now so it is perfect. If you want a wash of colour that lasts it’s a good brand. It is just one of those fake ali brands though.
As to boxy as a whole. I got angry because our choice last month was a Fenty foundation. I was HAPPY! So of course they sent me the wrong shade by about 4 shades. When I asked to get the right one they sent a form letter about how the algorithms can’t make everyone happy. Except this was a choice and we got to pick the exact shade. No algorithms. After 5 emails and me cancelling they gave me a $12 credit. Meaning I have to pay to rejoin so I can use this credit. They were rude and finally just quit responding to me.
I’ve been a subscriber for years and this was my first time contacting them. They didn’t care one bit. I guess it depends which customer relations person you get. I have heard that some are excellent. Mine was rude and snarky , when it wasn’t a form letter.
So I threw my fit and now I will miss the sales lol. But dang I wanted that Fenty Foundation. The Marc Jacob’s looks lush.

I had a similar issue with the fenty foundation. Except, they didn’t bother giving me either of my luxe choice items. I basically got a bad box and 3 repeats. When i emailed, i ensured i attached my choice confirmation email. That didnt matter to them in the least. They gave me the same email about their algorithm and how they used my profile to make my best box possible. I had most of the items in my quiz that I received as rarely or super low down.

I’ve used a few Elemis products and they were nice. I’d never buy them full price, and probably wouldn’t even buy them discounted just because there are other brands I prefer. The products I tried were heavily fragranced. I don’t avoid fragrance, but these smelled old-fashioned or something.

I have that palette and the shades are really pretty. There’s a lot of fallout, but that’s probably user error lol. It’s a pretty, summer palette.

I think Boxycharm is always worth the money even when I don’t like everything in my box the things I like are worth more than I paid. I like that you get to choose two items in your Luxe and Premium boxes and one in regular I think that makes the boxes better for me anyway. The pop-up and add-ons are great. I think Boxycharm is worth it.

I have tried several Elemis products and I think they are terrific. I don’t know that I could afford to purchase all their products at full price, but if I could afford it I would with Elemis and that’s definetly not true with a lot of other really expensive brands. Elemis is one of the best imo.
