I chose: Natasha Denona concealer + Wander night treatment.

I was worried bc my shipping info said my box was only 0.9 lbs! I really like my variation though:
– Inc Rollerball Duo
– Makeup Remover pads
– Marc Jacobs liquid eyeshadow in Shimmy Dip (pale gold)
– Dose of Colors eyeliner in Unbox (a medium warm brown)

So happy to get the liquid eyeshadow instead of a primer! And of the 3 shades they sent, this is the one I wanted most.

I also think it will be fun to try the Dose of Colors eyeliner — not the shade I would’ve chosen for myself, but at least that means it’s not a dupe of anything I already have!

Mine came a couple of days ago. I opted for the ND palette and the wander beauty retinol. I also got: murad spray toner, dose of colors (don’t know whether it’s a lip or eye pencil as I’m not home), inc.redible roller ball glosses, and the fenty primer. I don’t much care about the roller glosses, but the rest of the box I’ll use.

Hello, I get all 3 boxes, and I too, don’t have to shop for to much more. Hair products I still have to buy. Anyways, it’s my understanding, because I just asked them, cause I thought about canceling the regular box. They said if I do that I can’t get the luxe box. I like getting the premium box, and I don’t want to get rid of luxe, so I had to stay getting the base box. Also a lot of you are talking about the prices. Last year sometime my base box went up to 27.15 a month, every month, premium is 38.01 every month. Has this not happened to anyone else? This was all with no notice either. I just wondered if anyone knew why this happened. Thank you.

Yolanda

I pay the same for mine. It’s the tax.

Reply ButtonReply

Martina

I think for the base, the price is $25+tax, and premium is $35+tax, so that why you can see more than $25/35 at your bank statement.

For anyone thinking of signing up because of the ND palettes. I can confirm that all of the shades in the Jubilee are from previous palettes, and at least 3 of the shades in the Ayana palette are repeats from other palettes too. I can’t find the names actually listed, but watching try-ons and tutorials I got 8 of the 10 shade names.

I’m glad I figured it out, Boxy almost had me sub this month, but the palette I liked Jubilee repeats 4 shades I already have (from the Tropic & Love palettes).

Received both my base and premium. Both boxes had 2 great items and the rest were duds.
Farmacy Honey Grail
Touch in Sol – primer
Wander – night cream
Nars blush

The duds
*liquid eyeshadow in both boxes that was roughly the same color and neither of which are wearable shades for me. 🤨
* I also received a burgundy eyeliner 😱
*rollerball lipgloss duo by Nails Inc 🥱
*Froze body scrub ( which has been blessed by Buddhist monks !?) 🤯
* Tweezers 🤬
* Lavendar color correcter 😒…

I like Boxy but I wish there were more usable items in the boxes. Most of my friends/family are not interested in these filler products either so they are just being thrown away 🥲

Question – I am currently getting all 3 boxes and would like to drop down to only 1 for financial reasons. Would it be better to get the base or premium if you had to choose between the two ?

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

I would keep Base box. It’s the least expensive and the most consistent. Luxe and Premium items are often available a la carte in Add Ons or Pop Up sales.

I second Jean’s answer. Base is usually the best of the 3 in my opinion, and at the very least it’s certainly never worse than the other two tiers. Now that everyone gets access to sales at the same time, like Jean mentioned all the big ticket items are available in sales so you literally are only cutting out filler items by canceling the other two boxes.

Makeup86

I don’t think the other commenter understood your question. You weren’t asking if you should keep Boxyluxe, that was clear.

Past boxes don’t really prove things, but maybe search this site and compare what was in base v.s. premium and see which was usually better to you. If you’re really pinched for money (who isn’t?) then obviously go with base. I liked both boxes equally this month so I couldn’t say but the base box had more products I would use immediately, but I can’t say for other months.

Hope all of our finances improve and the vaccine gets everywhere and we don’t get vaccine resistant variants.

You have to have the base box in order to get boxyluxe so I would cancel the premium box.

Marion

Wow, a lot of variant items for Premium! This could actually be a good thing if only they customized our boxes to our quiz answers, instead of using the quiz to determine interest level in general.

I remember back in the early days of premium when we all got close to the same items. Now it feels like they give you one or two “hero” items and then fill out with stuff they had left over from previous boxes, and it’s annoying. I’ve probably now gotten 40+ of those 111Skin sheet masks, and at one point in add-ons they were two for the price of one.

Prettypony

Wow so many repeats again!

Debby

Your right !!! I hope I dont get any

Couple months ago there was a shipping problem and I never got my Premium box. They sent a replacement box but I didn’t get the Laura Mercier stick which was my Choice because, as they always say, they ran out. I wrote and complained, hoping they could just send one in any shade, but no response. Now I see it’s a possible box item and that’s so annoying.

Boxycharm confuses me. Do you have to subscribe to the base box before you can get premium? And can you only upgrade to Luxe from a base box?

Reply ButtonReply

Dany

You can add LuXe to either of the two monthly plans which are: base or premium.

Usually you have to receive one for a month before LUXE is offered.

The LUXE then is sent in place of your monthly box in December, March, June and September.

I get all three and I love it. I don’t even shop for beauty or body products anywhere else at this point.

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

No, you cannot add Luxe with just a Premium subscription. You have to have the base subscription since Luxe is an upgrade for the base box.

Michelle

It was confusing for me too.

Regular box $25 is every month unless you upgrade to Lux which every 4 months replaces the regular box for $50. You only get the lux not both Lux and regular.
Premium is every month for $35.
So if you want to get the Premium you will have to pay $25 for regular and $35 for premium. You will get both boxes. Once you are charged and get both boxes you can choose to cancel the regular and just get the premium for $35. Not both.
So I pay $25 for regular and $35 for premium each month.- I pay $60 a month to get both boxes (regular and premium).

Wait, are you sure about that? That you only get the Luxe four times a year?

The info I’ve seen previously is that you have to be subscribed to the regular monthly box in order to have the option to upgrade to luxe four times a year.

That was the reason I personally didn’t subscribe (even though I like the Luxe) – because I’d just be drowning in makeup! I can’t justify receiving so much every month, let alone paying for stuff I don’t really want or need.
