Birchbox has revealed its May 2021 customization picks.

Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, April 27th, subscribers can make their selects.

Here’s what you’ll choose from:

Curated box option 1: Clean Beauty

It includes:

  • Rael Beauty Tea Tree Facial Sheet Masks: These masks are infused with a healthy dose of tea tree oil and antiseptic ingredients to help keep skin clear and prevent clogged pores.
  • Milk Makeup KUSH High Volume Mascara: Clean, high volume mascara formulated with unique heart-shaped fibers, conditioning hemp-derived cannabis seed oil, and clean pigments for intense black, clump-free, fluffy lashes.
  • Korres Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Probiotic Gel-Cream: The ultimate hydrating, gel-cream moisturizer with protein-boosting Greek yoghurt for a plumped, healthy looking bounce to your skin that lasts all day. The unique whipped texture of this nourishing moisturizer immediately melts into skin and unlocks time-released hydration for 48 hours without clogging pores.
  • Balance Me BHA Exfoliating Concentrate: This Salicylic Acid-rich Concentrate is a fast-action, fast-absorbing leave-on chemical exfoliation to gently remove dead skin cells, fight blackheads, reduce blemishes, target enlarged pores, and improve hydration to reveal a softer, more youthful-looking and brighter skin, without causing redness or inflammation. This BHA rich formulation works on the upper layers of the skin, encouraging dead skin cells to shed to reveal the healthier and more radiant layers underneath. The calming and anti-inflammatory blend of bio-active ingredients complement the acids to smooth and hydrate the skin.
  • Lanolips 101 Ointment Watermelon: This juicy balm penetrates & seals in moisture to nourish and repair extremely dry & chapped lips, skin patches, cuticles, elbows & more. Using ultra-pure grade Aussie lanolin, the cult-classic 101 Ointment offers a safer, more effective & 100% natural alternative to common petroleum-based balms.

You can also swap your box for this Lipstick queen frog prince:

Or select one sample and the team at Birchbox will pick the rest:

  • Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Magnet Mascara – Deluxe Sample: They’re Real! Magnet is a 36-hour extreme lengthening & lifting mascara powered by magnetic technology to deliver 40% longer lashes! The innovative brush features a magnetically charged core that pulls the Magnetic Mineral Enriched Formula up and OUT beyond the tips of lashes for extreme length and lifts. Custom-designed ZigZag bristles are positioned to fan out, separate, and define lashes.
  • The Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care Shampoo: This shampoo gently washes away loose flakes and helps soothe scalps. If you live in fear of loose flakes, this is the best shampoo for dry scalps and smells pleasantly – well, gingery.
  • Amika The Kure Multi-Task Repair Treatment – Deluxe: This fast-acting rinse-out mask doubles as a leave-in treatment that works to strengthen hair, reduce breakage, and prevent future damage in 60 seconds. Multi-tasking has never been so easy. Packed with bond cure technology, plant butters, and vegan proteins, use this treatment for a stronger, more moisturized mane in an instant.

I like that I can choose 1 sample.I like that I can get points to buy things.Everything is so expensive on that site.I’m giving it a year.

I’ve gotten one box from them & was disappointed so since then I only buy curated boxes when they do 40% off sales in their shop. I got the Clean Beauty one a couple of weeks ago & it was a great value!

Tiffany

I forgot to choose right away, and now the curated box is out of stock 🙁

Julia

It helps to mark your calendar. That’s how I keep track of it. Then there’s no need to remember.

Melissa

Same. 🙁

Is birchbox bleeding cash or something? This 40% off $125 has me concerned that something is majorly wrong. So many things are out of stock.

Kristi

It is weird that so much is out of stock. I’ve been saving points and am worried there will be nothing left to buy

Kay

I swapped for points… I agree that they are not consisntant with their offerings… supposed to be 2 curated box, full-size item and sample choices. Put it together Birchbox!

Meh, cancelled. Same issue as when I subbed to birchbox in the past – tiny samples, not worth the price point. I did like they included hair stuff a lot, but I don’t see any in this box. My closet is pretty over-flowing at this point with skincare and makeup, so I don’t think $15 a month for stuff I won’t use any time sooon makes sense.

Something is off. This is not even a good deal at 40% off 12 months they are trying to push through emails

I have been disappointed with Birchbox lately. I wonder if this the beginning of the end. I used to love getting my boxes. Now Ipsy is my favorite.

Dea

Something is radically wrong. The curated box does not contain even one hair item. Surely a first for Bhairchbox.

I might get that frog thing and hope that there ever is in my lifetime a post-pandemic reality where I can do business with people in person and wear lipstick instead of a mask.

That lipstick frog queen can be found at tj maxx or marshalls for $5… are you kidding me. This sucks.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

That’s similar to what I thought. This product has been around for years. I got a whole set of Lipstick Queen lippies at TJ Maxx for $15.00, so, as you said, came to $5 each.

Ranee

Looks like points again this month…

CC

I’ll be trading the rest of my boxes for points even though their shop is never stocked sighhhh

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I think I’ll be trying the new Benefit magnet mascara. 🙂

Tiffany

I’m super happy with these choices!

Annie S.

I’m your opposite- I hate the sample choice this month and the box has products that have ingredients that I’m allergic to. Is there still a ‘don’t pick anything and we’ll surprise (?) you ‘option?

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany

You can also swap for points.

Alice

Yes. Don’t do anything and they will select.

Alice

I like the sample choices!

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

Right?! Why even have choice at this point?

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

I’ve been incredibly disappointed in the last two months of Birchbox. After lip balm being the only option in the sample choices last month and they are only offering one option for the curated boxes now?

Reply ButtonReply

Snow

Yeah that’s not a good sign……
