We have spoilers for the April Ipsy add-ons!

Here’s everything you need to know about Ipsy Add-Ons:

You have to reveal your glam bag spoilers to gain access to Add-Ons. To access add-ons, visit ipsy.com or the ipsy mobile app for your monthly Spoiler Alert. Once you complete the Spoiler Alert, you will see a selection of products that can be added to your bag. Select the products you’d like, confirm your order, and the products will ship with your glam bag

You may choose up to 10 add-on products per month. These items will be added to your glam bag shipment. And shipping is free!

The Add-Ons will be a small selection of products, some of which are from that month’s Glam Bag assortment.

Man I’m kinda mad at myself right now. I was torn between 5 things on Choice day, and then I dwindled it down to either the Kiss of Sun highlighter or the Tatcha cream, so I picked the cream then bought the highlighter for $7 on FB Marketplace. I could have saved a few bucks by getting the highlighter in the Add-on sale! Or better yet, get both the cream and the highlighter in Add-ons and choose one of the other 3 things I was torn on for Choice Day. I guess I just really liked the choices this time despite what others have said about them being disappointing. Maybe I will get kne of my other choices in my bag <3

I hope I get the nail polish. I have in my beauty quiz that I want nail polish all the time and I haven’t gotten one in like a year. ☹

1Birchbox is pretty good. I’ve gotten some really great stuff from them. Ipsy is the only monthly subscription box I have found that has low priced items for sale. I currently get 5 boxes a month and need to drop one or two, but the add ons are the main reason why I keep Ipsy.

Is it just me or is there normally more spoilers by now ?

The addons can be different for plus,x, and regular bag subs. I think the $3 items are usually the same, but they mentioned after changing the plus program that they would be holding stock back or offering addons specifically for that box since it’s a day later. They ran into issues the first month when ppl bought addons that were then offered in plus customizations.
There’s examples on the Ipsy Reddit as well.
I logged on to my moms plus acct to choose her plus items a couple mos ago and she was offered a whole category of $6 addons that my regular sub was not. There were also a few higher price items that were different.

Wait a second – CS told me the Babelash was “sold out” so they couldn’t send it in my replacement box they sent since the first never budged once shipped.

So in the end I got a partial refund of $15 plus an assortment of “substitutions” and only two items from the X that I had ordered. (Subbing the Huda palette for one less than half it’s RV was particular a bait and switch.)

But now they have it as an add on. Did they order more? Are they planning on sending it to those of us who they told it was “sold out” so they couldn’t fulfill our orders?

The same thing happened to me! They sent me the wrong items, not the ones I ordered and said they were “sold out “ then they had them in flash sales and the next month! The Ipsy policy is that if the items are back in stock within 45 days you are supposed to get them though. But apparently Ipsy does not like to follow their own policies. I even film myself opening my bag and take pics everything for proof Bc This has happened more than once and I don’t want Ipsy to think I’m trying to get extra products when I just want what I’m paying for not random stuff that they want to give me. They show you your glam bag, you purchase add ons, that is what you should get. Not leftover products laying around! I would email Cust service and say something that the products have been available and reference the policy, say you would please like the correct products. Good luck!

They did the exact same thing over a product in February. It was missing in my box… emailed them .. they said it was sold out then it magically appeared in a flash sale. I didn’t cancel in time… but I think this is my last box. The entire situation annoyed me.

My bag hads’t moved yet either. They didn’t even ship it till the 23rd and it’s been sitting ever since. I haven’t emailed them yet, but I suppose I should.

I think most companies keep a different amount of inventory for different categories for example: add-ons, point rewards, box items, and replacements. I’ve noticed this with Boxycharm several times. I never received my bonus item for signing up from Boxycharm. They told me for over 2 months that it would ship and even gave me a tracking number that never worked. When I contacted them the last time about it they told me they were out and gave me charms. Pop-up started 3 days before I contacted them and they had the same item in it on sale for $9.

I’m hoping that some of the Plus Add-ons are available to buy for regular glam bag subscribers. None of these interest me except for the nail polish. That blue is such a pretty color.

I think it’s all about when you’re able to sign on and look. I’ve seen new ones added late and/or ppl snag ones if they’re on before they’re sold out. I don’t think this piece is tailored to the user.

I thought add ons were the same and just choice options were different. But I’m probably wrong lol I do know different choice items are because of your profile preferences.

Beth I’m not sure if you’ve if you’ve noticed in the comments before but that is not the case at all. In fact, every month there are several posts from people who are upset because every one is not offered the same add-on’s (myself included). There is certainly some overlap but not every one is offered every item in add-on’s. Just FYI.

I wanted both of those as well but went with the Pixi tinted balm. So ill prob snag these. The sheet masks and Ofra gloss also interest me.

April seems to be a meh month. None of the choice items were that great but I ended up getting the Sunday Riley as choice. And these add ons are not that great. The only thing I would maybe want is the tatcha but I already have so many moisturizers I’m trying to use up. Oh well maybe I will save money and skip add ons

Just FYI those sheet masks are nice, smell delicious and are almost certainly cheaper on amazon. Search for “CNF Iceland”.

The highlighter and lipgloss look pretty I just signed up for birchbox any opiniona of birchbox ? Do they offer add ons at a good price or expensive 😂

DanettE I would also add that Birchbox does not offer add-on’s in the way you are asking about. It is absolutely nothing like the way IPSY or Boxycharm offer them. With Birchbox there are no special monthly add-on’s. All you can do is add a product (at full price) from the regular Birchbox store to your monthly box and they will ship it for free with the box. It is actually in no way a benefit to you to do this because if you are wanting to purchase something from the Birchbox website you would do better to add it to your shopping cart and purchase outside of your monthly box because that way you can add on a free gift with purchase. The GWP does not apply to anything you “add-on” to ship with your monthly box. Also, if you are wanting to purchase an item during a sale (like right now I believe the Birchbox store is 25% off) the discount does not apply to “add-on” items you have shipped with your monthly box even if it is on sale. Hope this helps!

Birchbox will not cut you any deals on add ons. They say they’re doing you a favor by shipping them with your box and so not charging you for shipping. Ugh.
