Guac is extra and now your makeup can be too.

In an unexpected collaboration, e.l.f. Cosmetics and Chipotle have joined forces to launch a limited edition cruelty-free and vegan makeup line.

“There is nothing tastier or prettier than the combination of burritos and makeup!” Kory Marchisotto, Chief Marketing Officer, e.l.f. Beauty said in a press release. “We have long admired Chipotle and we are thrilled to come together to do things that neither one of us have done before. We share the same renegade spirit and are both committed to bringing the best ingredients to our consumers at extraordinary prices.”

The line includes a 12-piece eyeshadow palette ($16) inspired by Chipotle itself. "The fresh spread of matte, shimmer, and metallic shades are inspired by classic Chipotle ingredients, including white rice, brown rice, pinto beans, black beans, sofritas, fajitas, mild salsa, green salsa, hot salsa, corn salsa, guac, and lettuce," the release reads.

It also features Make It Hot lip gloss ($8) that promises to deliver a plumping shine with a tint of "red-hot salsa color," the Extra Guac face sponge set ($10) and Eye Chips Face makeup bag ($18) designed to resemble Chipotle's tortilla chip bag.

Beginning Wednesday, March 10, the e.l.f. x Chipotle collection will be available exclusively on elfcosmetics.com, chipotlegoods.com, and on the mobile-first virtual shopping platform, NTWRK.

FYI - If you register for an e.l.f Cosmetics account you can access the whole collection now.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to lead culture and make authentic connections with Gen-Z alongside brands that share similar values,” said Tressie Lieberman, Vice President, Digital Marketing and Off-Premise, Chipotle. “Following our first launch with e.l.f., which sold out in less than four minutes last spring, we’ve taken our collab to the next level with beauty products celebrating our real ingredients in totally unexpected ways.”

Sounds spicy.

Hold up, how is this not a collaboration with Kim Chi the drag queen?! Oooh I bet she’s mad Chipotle didn’t pair up with her makeup line!!🤣

AMH

There’s a video on Trixie Mattel’s YouTube channel with Kim Chi where they it’s a sponsored video.

No hate from me, I love the colors in the palette!

You can buy the whole set on Ebay for @ $100 plus. I predict that after the novelty wears off, these prices will drop fast (especially if the quality isn’t there). I like ELF but that price point is too high for their makeup.

I might have gotten the lip gloss but it’s not red enough for me.

I ordered the palette. I think the colors are great and the payoff looks decent as well. Way to go Elf for doing something unique and out of the box and not having a Kardashian or Megan Markle tie in.

Holy Mole the comments are excellent!

Everytime I look at that palette I want a burrito. Not the effect I want.

Sooo…which piece comes with the e-coli, and which one comes with the salmonella?

I think this is a cool marketing concept and would think more people would like it.

Laura

I love the colors in the palette- ordered it last night! Wanted the sponge set but it was sold out🥑

Jennifer

Haha this is actually pretty fun/cute. If they put them in a set with a coupon for a free burrito I’d be pretty tempted.

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

You do get a coupon for a free guacamole and chips with the purchase of the palette 🙂

Lana

random and expensive for what it is. I’d like to have it, but I wouldn’t buy it

Carol

I love the palette, what great shades!

Alice

The palette colors are pretty. They’re better than most I’ve received from Boxycharm.

Unexpected is right. This sounds like an Onion article.

Ragan

I had to check that it wasn’t an April Fool’s Day joke that accidentally got released early.

Julia

I knew it was real because of the two mistakes in the language of the release. The writers of the Onion have better writing and language skills than corporate marketers. 😜

Amy

This is just … weird 🥑💄

Awww. This is super cute! I love the chip bag! And avo sponges.

The new Oreo box. Was wondering when it would show up.

If this came with free chips and guac I might get it. cuz with the way I eat when I walk into the kitchen I am the only snack! Kidding Hehe.

Boxy Fox

GUYS! The palette comes with free chips and guac! This doesn’t seem like a set. They seem to be selling these as seperate pieces.

Everyone: ……..
e.l.f. & Chipotle: SO WE HEARD YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE A BURRITO!?

Caroline

They misunderstood when people started saying they wanted to look like snacks. 🥑🌮
