Wow still waiting on my spring box what’s with the long delay

I for one am extremely disappointed in this box. They could have gotten more bang if they had shopped at Dollar General. The only thing I will probably use is the canvas tote, but it’s not like we don’t get one of those in almost every box.

You and me, both. I actually said out loud, “Are you kidding me? These are my choices?”

Causebox has had a few outstanding boxes. This is not one of them.

I won’t skip this season since I already skipped winter (which wasn’t at all a good box to me since I possess all items it had).

Having been a subscriber to both FFF and Causebox, I still prefer Causebox. I have kept tabs on FFF every season, and each time they amaze me at how much mass manufacturing junk (mostly China-made at sweatshops) they bundle together while massively inflating the value. I’m familiar with manufacturing, quality control and trade routes so I know how much these things actually cost.

Not that Causebox doesn’t inflate their values, because they do. But Causebox always includes at least some handmade stuff by artisans / under-privileged women. They’re definitely made with more care.

IMHO Causebox > FFF

So not impressed with this box. Would cancel if I hadn’t accidentally missed the renewal date while waiting to try to find out what the spoilers are. They must do that on purpose to get you. It just doesn’t feel like you’re getting a lot for the value. I am getting the blue light glasses and will hope they help my eyes after staring at a screen, as well as the tech organizer. Those are things that may be useful that I probably wouldn’t have bought on my own.

Really happy with this box! I chose the power bank (I don’t have one and both my daughter and myself need one), the organizer roll, the striped tote, nail treatments, and the setting spray.

Estalyn

So if you’re quarterly you can’t select any of your products?

Dramaspoiler

Quick question- how do you know if you successfully skipped a box beside the email response confirm. It seems it still showing me the customized box section. I would assume that this would be blanked out and unselectable if we skip a box (I didn’t touch this section just incase it cancelled by skip request)

Overall not all boxes equal. Some are great for others or not. I don’t like how we don’t even know all the spoilers in time to make a decision to skip. I just skipped because I didn’t like the options that they gave in the beginning. I need to at least like 2 things in the box to make a go at it.

I’m disappointed in this box, but I guess they can’t all be winners.

I’m getting (with the “to me” value):

Power bank – $20, as that’s what I’ve paid in the past for similar power banks. I already have five pairs of blue light glasses and multiple sets of cloth napkins, though. I also have lots of power banks, but I don’t mind having one in my car, one at home, one in my purse, one in my backpack, etc.

Tech roll – $0, as I wouldn’t buy any of these things. I may use this, though. I wouldn’t use the collapsible cup or the exercise bands.

Grey bag (or maybe the striped one; this is the only tough choice for me) – $15; I’m sure this brand sells for the claimed value, but I wouldn’t pay more than $15 for a canvas bag, especially when I already have a dozen or so.

Konjac sponge – $10; I hate that they’re offering us a repeat, but I did like this. I wouldn’t use the nail duo, as I already have products that do the same thing that I love.

Setting spray – $15; I use setting spray almost daily and I wouldn’t mind trying out an illuminating one, but I wouldn’t pay full price for this. despite paying more than that for trusted brands.

So, the value of the box is there for me, but it’s still a lesser value compared to a lot of past boxes. I think I’m extra disappointed because I literally just resubscribed.

I’m glad other people are happy with the box, though, and I’m hoping I’ll like the next one better.

This is one of their best boxes I’ve seen from Causebox in my opinion. I am going to use everything. I’m getting the Blue Bag, Portable Charger, Tech Organizer Roll, Nail Duo, and the resurfacing mask. It was a hard pick between the resurfacing mask and the lip treatment kit. I have hormonal acne so I need to fix that more than chapped lips. And it was hard to pick between the dark blue and the gray bag. I figured the dark blue bag won’t show the dirt as easily. At some point I may set this bag down on a dirty surface so the dark blue bag will probably last me longer. I’m also ordering Market add-ons because I want to try out the Stojo Collapsible Cup too!

JJ Casuals

So nothing really grabs me in Category 5. Also, the mask powder is odd to me because 1 oz of it seems to be $16 on Amazon. It has great reviews, but I’m not sure how this small amount adds up?

Which item do you think is most desirable in terms of trading and so forth?

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

You would be getting 2 ounces if you choose this product.

Reply ButtonReply

Tracy

What do you think about eternity flowers in a sub like this? They make really beautiful ones that I wouldn’t buy for myself but then again it’s something that would likely collect dust. I’m torn but probably think it’s be a cool item…

Reply ButtonReply

Christy

Eternity roses don’t last forever though — at most they maintain their freshness up to a year. Also a lot of chemicals are used to preserve them that way. Sure, the company says “non-toxic” but doesn’t go into specifics…

Anyway China has been making and selling these eternity roses for manyyy years. It just caught on now because one company was smart enough to brand it eternity roses and spent enough to get mega IG stars to promote it.

Reply ButtonReply

Ana

I love the eternity roses. I can’t afford them for myself but I’d really love to see them in a sub. I guess I can dream lol

Reply ButtonReply

Rose

I just read the utterly stupid blurb about Glass Ladder & Co. creating crap for “young women”. How about us old women trying to get a job to pay our rent and feed the household? Bloody hell! Does this company know how utterly tone deaf they are – especially these days when being over 35 really is a problem (if you can get an interview in the first place). I don’t agree with the whole “Cancel Culture”, but this brand is cancelled for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Pam

I believe that blurb was written by Causebox. The company website talks about designing for professional women and never talks about young women. So I think it is Causebox that might be tone deaf here.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Agree. And for those who are minimizing the concern, how would you be reacting if the company was explicitly stating that their products were designed for a particular subset based on race or physical ability?

Reply ButtonReply

Pilar

If a company said that their products were designed for a particular race you know the comments of those claiming to be “offended” would not be this mild, remembered all those crazies that got upset this summer when Target and other companies try to showcase black female bussines owners? When companies do that they are not trying to exclude ANYONE they are just helping those who may feel like they are unwelcome.

Shadi

I’m sorry they offended you but it’s really not that deep. They mean that young women are generally uncomfortable entering a professional setting/feeling accepted and their products are simple starters to that lifestyle like buying your first formal interview attire. Most mission statements seek out a specific customer base but that doesn’t mean they’re saying older people shouldn’t be included lol

Reply ButtonReply

V

If it’s a matter of exclusion in the company’s mission statement, then the company should think about revising it. What about women who left the workforce to raise kids and are now re-entering it? Wouldn’t they also be uncomfortable in a professional setting & have a hard time being accepted because they are older? So, that begs the question of why does this company exclude older women?

Jen

Haha 😄 – you are so right. Everything in our society is marketed towards younger people, especially women. Do companies think that those of us who are over 35 don’t count anymore? I’m afraid to answer that question 🤣

Reply ButtonReply

Kat

I think it’s less that only young women should use them and more than young women (or women who are new to professional settings) might not have the means to buy actual leather versions of portfolios, clutches, etc, while vegan leather is a more affordable alternative. The actual designs are appropriate for anyone.

Reply ButtonReply

Rose

It seems that this sub is the best of the old subs. Ii am nonplussed by the offerings, but it is still better than almost everything else left out there (all of the “good” subs have folded). I have an annual sub that I will let play out, but I won’t bother resubscribing. I think I’ve given up on FFF, as the contents are consistently over-valued and almost useless in real life. Bombay & Cedar lifestyle is horrendous (another annual that I can’t wait to be over…I didn’t even receive my last box and CS are being assh@ts about providing a replacement). I can’t believe that I am honestly missing Luxor Box (and most of the others that are no more).

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

I like the dark blue napkin and that’s literally it. Super easy skip this box, I already own or do not want everything pictured (except that one napkin lmao, I would buy a set of 4 of those if I saw them at TJ Maxx)

Reply ButtonReply

LizC

Has anyone else had issues with the quality of marketplace items? I bought a pair of earrings and they wouldn’t close after one wear. I bought the bowl covers and now they are cheaper.

Reply ButtonReply

Pilar

Why was the comments turned off?

Reply ButtonReply

Christine Hall

Why were comments turned off in the first place? I didn’t realize that was even a thing. Not so cool. To me this box is not one of the better ones and I do regret having 2 annuals for it, BUT I bought a bunch of great stuff in their Marketplace and will discontinue my second sub when able to. I will always keep one though because they are usually great!

Reply ButtonReply

Mallory @ MSA

Hi Christine! We were having some issues with the site yesterday, but the issue has now been resolved. If you experience this at all in the future, please let us know: [email protected]

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

Seems like it might have been a site glitch; when I tried signing in to comment, it took me to a WordPress login page, and other posts here were completely inaccessible. I highly doubt it was purposeful on MSA’s part.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessi

I also have 2 subscriptions. Luckily, I was able to skip my newer one. This box just isn’t worth getting 2 of for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashleigh

I’m glad comments are turned back on. It made me realize what I actually like about the site is the community and sharing of ideas. Anyway, I actually really like the lip set. I am going to get:

Stripe bag
Charger
Exercise bands (one of mine just broke, good timing!)
Nail treatments
Lip duo

Although not overly exciting, useful, and I feel that the value is there. Do we think there is another item everyone will receive?

Reply ButtonReply

Ana

I’m same as you except for the seat bands. Not sure yet between tech organizer and cup. The lip duo sounds really nice.

Reply ButtonReply

Ana

Sweat not seat

Cynthia

Yes there is one everyone gets item. Someone mentioned it may be a sleep spray but I couldn’t find any confirmation on this.

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

Ugh I hope not. Got a sleep spray from them before didn’t we or maybe that was FFF? It feels like they are running out of new and different ideas. Every sub seems to have tote bags, hair masks, sleep sprays, nail conditioner. Probably time for me to take a break from subs

Jessica

A post on the official Causebox Facebook site mentioned a sleep spray. I like sleep sprays and hope that’s accurate/not a variation. 🤞🏻

V

This box looks boring. Useful items though!
