  1. For anyone who has that mint/pale green colored bathrobe from a past box, is it see through for someone with darker skin?

    I like that color option but the robe seems thin, wondering if it might end up being be see through for me lol.

    Thanks. Considering the robe for summer season when it’s warmer.

  2. I’m so unhappy with Causebox!
    The towels in the last box shrunk and
    the answer was to wet them and stretch
    them and no dryer🤦🏻‍♀️. This was the big item
    in the box. Now still waiting and one of my
    choices was a planner…….so it will be a 10
    month planner? Contacted customer service
    and nothing…….
    Don’t subscribe you will be disappointed!

  4. I’m an annual member, have been for a while now, and they did let me add on this Intro box, but now emailed me and won’t let me customize it!!! 😭

  5. This box doesn’t make any sense to conscious buyers unless you are an Annual member. That’s why they have to give it away so, more seasonal’s will gamble on it. And those towels and robe are one of the biggest sub box flops ever. Its kinda like they have to keep landing new annuals to pay for the next round and then are able to pawn off the items least picked to poor unsuspecting seasonal’s. And they also pair bad items with better ones in these little boxes to get rid of junk. The fact that they aren’t changing their model, like FFF or ipsy, tells me that they have to keep this up or they won’t be able to make money, so somebody has to get screwed. Maybe Seasonal’s are keeping Annuals able to choose, basically, by taking all the leftovers without complaint.

    • Yes but it’s a pretty good deal at $25 and even better now with Julie’s new info that the box will be free for annual members.

  8. Possible stupid question alert! Has CAUSEBOX required paying for the rest of the annual sub boxes up front in order to customize this entire time?

    I’d like to know because I briefly had a quarterly sub & got a few boxes (sadly had to cancel). Many of the choices in the intro box include things I already got while subscribed. I’d like to get some of the other options, though, so if I could customize I’d be able to avoid repeats.* This particular discussion gave me the impression you could sign up for the annual, pick what you want in the inro, then cancel in time to avoid getting the rest of the boxes. But it looks like I was wrong about that. Did the rest of you have to pay for the 2nd, 3rd & 4th boxes when ordering the $25 intro? (Told you it’s a stupid question!)

    * I wouldn’t mind another set of the silicone covers!

    • Hi echo – when I signed up for annual they charged me for the year upfront. I’m sure it’s the same when purchasing annual on an intro box.

      The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask. 🙂

  9. Can someone explain why the shipping is so long with causebox??

    Also can any annual subscribers look and see what products are already not available in the box.


    • No one really knows WHY, but it’s like this almost every season. Asian annual member I’m used to it. If shipping speed is a deal breaker, then this isn’t the box for you for sure.

    • It’s almost always like this and super annoying when they include time sensitive items like a planner. I like to get winter boxes to break them up for gifts, so that’s also a no-go

  10. I agree. I work in a hospital and when someone blames covid for their shipping issues it offends me. Last spring the shipping issues were covid, but now they are – you can’t get your act together. I am annual. Supposedly it is in process but the marketplace order, nothing and I ordered the first day of market. I will not renew. And towels were awful. Towels you can’t wash because they’ll shrink?

    • Totally agree. And before Covid, excuse after excuse for delayed shipping EVERY single time. And to add insult to injury, they start promoting intro or welcome boxes before shipping out existing orders. I will never again be suckered by this company — I hope you all get your boxes soon.

  11. I just checked and mines still says awaiting shipment. They’ve had my money for 2 months. Not an annual but still we should ALL have our boxes at least shipped. This is mid Jan. Now they are advertising for another box. I fell for that last time and got LOTS of repeats. I live CB but this shipping issue is frustrating. They’ll be taking money for spring be4 our Winter boxes are shipped! I think I’m gonna have to cancel till they get the shipping issue straight. They keep blaming it on COVID. But other companies are dealing with COVID too. And they might have a little bit of a delay but NOT this mess. Ugh!!! Ok.the end! Lol..

  12. I’m an annual continued (not new) subscriber and they still haven’t shipped my regular winter box. I don’t know why they are selling new boxes when they can’t ship out the old ones.

    • I also am annual subscriber and still have not received my regular Winter box. We did customization months ago and were billed months before that. I’ve emailed them several times, but never receive a response.

  13. Be careful because if you signed up now the only choices they have now are the robes and bath towels, I wanted the PMD but it was gone.

    • Thanks for the warning! Was thinking of signing up for the pmd as well

      • My mistake Sarah, the PMD is available you will have to pay for the box first before you see all of the other choices, I’am sorry for the incorrect information at first. I was able to pick the 4 items that I wanted.

  15. I am glad the intro boxes are back, however, there are too many variations of this time around. The only items I am interested in are the candle and the diffuser. I’ve heard awful things about the bathrobe and towels. I already have the lids and have zero need for reusable pouches. I have both PMD and Swell. I have that toner and don’t need the containers. I wish there were less variations or we could pick.

  16. While not sexy or exciting, those silicone covers are awesome. My Pyrex lids are slowly cracking, and replacements are incredibly expensive ($6 per lid!). These work great plus fit my mixing and serving bowls so I don’t have to dirty more dishes. They are top rack dishwasher safe for easy cleanup, and take up so much less room than a set of lids.

    • I agree, those silicone covers are awesome!

  17. As a long time annual Causebox subscriber I just want to say that it’s shameful the robe and towels are back. They’re hands down the single worst quality items I’ve ever received in any sub box of any kind. I’m still an annual subscriber, so please don’t confuse my comment for hate, I love Causebox, but they were and are wrong for the quality of those items. Hundreds of similar comments can be found in Facebook Causebox groups.

    • Agree. I needed a robe, but plus size wasn’t and option. I skipped the box and got the FFF robe in a plus size. The robe looks like the kind my mammographer uses. 😂

That totally made my day, too funny! 🙂 And also, thank you Kay for letting everybody know because I was seriously about to get this box for the rode alone because I need a new one. You saved me and I appreciate it. On another note, I’m guessing everyone has seen the SNL Christmas sketch about the mom who gets a robe for Christmas?

  18. Quarterly members don’t even get one customization choice. Bet there will be a lot of people getting Swell bottles, when their “Winter” intro boxes finally arrive sometime in April or May.

    • Same! I’d subscribe only for those if They were included in every box. Anyway, I’m still waiting on my regular winter box purchased in November, which hasn’t shipped yet (I regret to have chosen the planner), so I’m not even sure when these intro box should start shipping…mid/end February? :/

  21. If you’re a current annual member and you added this on, would they let you customize?

    • I’m also curious about this.

    • Last time I added one, they let me. Ask.

      • How do you add this on if you already have an existing annual sub? Do you need to open another sub under a different email? (I’m running out of addresses) How much is it if you can get it additionally?

    • For everyone asking to add this on as an annual, you email them at [email protected] .com, and they will let you know if they will let you add it on. Usually, they do, but they indicated that they would be cracking down on allowing it because people have been taking advantage and getting intro boxes just to sell the items. You would have to pay the $25 rather than subbing it in for your regular seasonal box.

    • It’s super hit and miss, and the last time they let me, I ended up not getting what I picked. It’s a gamble!

    • When they first started the intro boxes I tried email customer service and they said we can’t customize starter boxes (if I added regular boxes I’m able to email CS and customize)

    • Heads up – I heard back from their support, and they’re letting me customize! So thrilled 🙂

      • Funny, I heard back also and they aren’t even letting me add it on. They said they have limited inventory for the welcome box, but I will still get my spring box, LOL.

      • Same as Kristin. They won’t let me add the box onto my subscription.

    • No, I haven’t received my first box and tried to request to customize this. They suggested I add a second subscription. However, in order to customize, it too would need to be annual.

  22. If the Swell bottle wasn’t an option, I’d probably want to get this as a second sub or add on if they allow it to my sub. I got a S’Well in a past box, and while it looked cool, it didn’t fit my lifestyle needs and I regifted it after a few months of trying it.
