It’s time to get even more of the beauty you love, want, and can’t get enough of—because treating yourself a little extra is always a good idea. That’s why we’re totally over the moon to introduce the all-new Glam Bag X, a quarterly, limited edition upgrade to your monthly IPSY membership. Think of it as your all-access pass to the most-coveted brands, hottest launches, and need-to-try products in beauty. Your Glam Bag X includes seven to eight full-size products (worth up to $350) specially curated by beauty’s biggest tastemakers and celebs, and you’ll even get to choose three from a personalized assortment—which, BTW, includes dibs on exclusive product drops you won’t find anywhere else.

Every limited-edition Glam Bag X is curated by a different celeb, with the debut drop presented by none other than Patrick Ta, world-renowned makeup artist to the stars. He’s the artist behind some of Hollywood’s glowiest goddesses, like Shay Mitchell, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Olivia Munn, Kourtney Kardashian, and…well, that star-studded list pretty much speaks for itself. If you’re already wondering how you can get your hands on Glam Bag X, don’t worry—we’ve got everything you need to know below. Glam Bag X is only for IPSY members, so be sure you have Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus in order to unlock your upgrade!

What can I expect from my first Glam Bag X?

Glam Bag X is our most extra Glam Bag yet, and the first drop of this quarterly upgrade will ship in February 2021. Since it features seven to eight full-size products from the hottest brands, all curated by a mega celeb, quantities are limited—but you can reserve your spot while there’s still space.

A new Glam Bag X will drop in February, May, August, and November (yes, mark your calendar now!). During those months, your Glam Bag X replaces your usual monthly bag, either your Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus; if you have both, it replaces your Glam Bag Plus. Your Glam Bag X is valued at up to $350 and is only an additional $43/shipment for Glam Bag members and $30/shipment for Glam Bag Plus members. Talk about an amazing value, right?

You’ll love this part, too—during each upgrade month, you’ll get to build your perfect Glam Bag X during Ultra Personalization starting on the 2nd at 9 a.m. ET until the 3rd at 6 p.m. ET. Here’s how it works: First, you discover your four to five celeb-curated picks. Then, you handpick three more full-size products from a personalized assortment of Glam Bag X exclusives and first-of-a-kind new product launches that could include tools, accessories, and a themed Glam Bag. And finally, you complete Ultra Personalization with incredible deals on product Add-Ons.

How do I get Glam Bag X?

Glam Bag X is available as a quarterly upgrade for Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus members, so if you already have one (or both!) of those bags, simply visit the Glam Bag X tab and click on the “GET GLAM BAG X” button.

If you don’t have Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus yet, get started by taking the Beauty Quiz and telling us about your beauty preferences. Once you’re done with the quiz, you’ll have the option of signing up for Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus. After you’ve made your choice and become a member, log into your account and visit the Glam Bag X tab. All that’s left to do is click the “GET GLAM BAG X” button, and voilà—you just scored the most-coveted membership in beauty.

What is the difference between Glam Bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag X?

Glam Bag includes five deluxe-size beauty samples (one you choose yourself) valued at over $50 for just $12/month. Glam Bag Plus includes five full-size products (three you choose yourself) valued at over $120 for just $25/month.

Glam Bag X is only available to members with a monthly Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus plan. Glam Bag X is a quarterly, limited-edition upgrade that includes seven to eight full-size products (three you choose yourself) that feature the trendiest brands and exclusive launches—and it’s all specially curated by a mega celeb. During upgrade months (February, May, August, and November), Glam Bag X replaces your usual monthly bag, so you score up to $350 in value for just an additional $43/shipment for Glam Bag members and $30/shipment for Glam Bag Plus members.

When will my Glam Bag X ship?

Already looking forward to getting that baby in the mail? Can’t blame ya. Glam Bag X ships four times per year (AKA every three months) in February, May, August, and November. The debut Glam Bag x Patrick Ta will ship in February and replace your monthly Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus. As with your monthly bag, Glam Bag X ships shortly after you’re billed successfully on the last day of the preceding month, and you can expect it to arrive approximately two weeks after billing.

How are my products selected for me?

Your Glam Bag X includes seven to eight full-size products curated by one of beauty’s biggest tastemakers. The featured curator of the month hand-selects four to five of your products, and you choose the remaining three from a personalized assortment that features Glam Bag X exclusives. Your exclusives can include early access to new products, hot launches, and all those other FOMO-worthy beauty moments that you need to get in on.

When do I get to choose my Glam Bag X products?

During Glam Bag X months, you’ll get to choose three of your full-size products starting on the 2nd at 9 a.m. ET until the 3rd at 6 p.m. ET. Set your alarm, circle the dates on your calendar, write a sticky note—do what you need to do so you don’t miss out!

Ready to go extra? We got you. Be the first on the list and reserve your spot before we run out—Glam Bag x Patrick Ta quantities are limited.

  1. Scrunchies – does anybody know where to buy these same ones?

  2. So I was thinking to sign up for Ipsy and Ipsy plus
I am a little confused do you have to do the Ipsy x or it’s only if you want to upgrade?

    • You can have either or both to get the x bag. If you are signed up for both the x bag will replace the Plus bag.

  3. I took the plunge, looks really nice. I may drop GBP. Is that possible?

  4. For me this just isnt doing it. Right now I’m looking more for fancy skincare, body products, hair products. I’m just not one to do my makeup if I’m at home(I live alone) and just not going out enough to justify adding more to my collection. I may change my mind eventually as these are really nice products.

    • If you’re after skincare, I’d highly suggest Boxwalla and/or Beauty Heroes. I have both and love them dearly! If you just want to experience luxury at a better price point, grab the Net-a-Porter boxes when they become available a couple of times a year. Those also never disappoint, in my experience.

  5. So I deactivated my account but I want this box. I don’t want to be charged $12 for the monthly reg box so how/when should I sign up to only be charged the $55? I’m thinking January?

    • You can’t. The X is in place of the glam bag or the glam bag plus. You have to be subbed to one of those to get the X.

  6. So do they charge us right now??

  7. I’m still confused and would appreciate some help please. Although the X box is awesome and wish I could plunge in I simply can’t. BUT if someone has the Glam or the Glam Plus will we still get those boxes? Is the X box an option only? For those not opting in for the X box will the other boxes stay the same way they have always been?

    Thank you so much.

    • You have to sign up for the Glam Bag X – and you have to be already subscribed to Plus. On glam bag x months you will be charged $30 more and get only the glam bag x. If you don’t sign up, you will just get reg bag

      • So if you don’t mind me asking can we skip glam bag plus on the months of X box?

  8. I know the point of this one is for higher end items but cant they just put 1 item once a month in plus? I feel like plus has been nothing but repeats the last 4 or 5 months.

  9. Dang. I canceled Ipsy Plus on Monday because I seriously need to downsize my 9 subs. Then I just reactivated my membership for Glam X lol. Is there a support group for sub boxes? Pretty sure I need help

  10. Okay, I’m on board, mainly for the Babe Lash and the IGK (def one of my fave dry shampoos). I wouldn’t be mad with the palette or the mascara, either.

  11. Anyone tried babe lash and/vs grande lash? I use grande lash right now and love it (it works almost as well as Latise for me) but I’m intrigued by Babe Lash. Not sure if anyone has used both and had an opinion either way?

    • I’ve been using it and notice a real difference (not super dramatic, but more than with any other lash enhancer I’ve used and I’ve tried Grande MD).

    • I used to use Grande Lash until I discovered Babe Lash thanks to Boxycharm. For me, I noticed more lash growth with Babe Lash. Also, Babe Lash doesn’t give me light purple-ish eyelids like Grande did.😊

    • I started using babe lash serum last oct it took two months for me to notice a difference but so far it’s my favorite

  12. I just cancelled Boxycharm for this. I haven’t subscribed to Ipsy in a long time but I love Patrick Ta and this curation!!! Hoping for the blush over a brow product. I don’t know that I would have bought the palette (even though I love Huda) but for the price I feel the pat mcgrath and Patrick Ta blush will cover the box and Huda is just a bonus.

For anyone curious I just rejoined under glam bag plus (after seeing spoilers for January) and even though CS said January would be my first bag I am told in my console I’ll get December. I emailed them asking if I could skip December based on what they told me in my first email since I’m not thrilled with those items. I also received a confirmation stating I will get the February Glam Bag X. 🙂 So there are still open spots.

Overall am excited for these two boxes!

    • Did they charge you for Ipsy x now or do they change the month of?

      • Hi! So when I rejoined I chose Glam Bag Plus (versus the regular Glam bag) as my base subscription. They actually charged me the $25 for December’s Plus bag (since they bill you right away on your first month). I wasn’t fond of December’s bag and had originally asked if I needed to wait until Jan to join and they told me wrong, so they kindly refunded me for December. I will be charged end of this month for January Glam Bag Plus. Then I upgraded to Glam Bag X immediately online and I got a confirmation that I’d get February but I haven’t been charged for that yet. I should be charged for X at the end of January (per CS) and it will take the place of my February Plus bag (so I’ll be billed $25 plus an extra $30 to equal the $55 price of glam bag X). Does that help?

    • The comment you posted below. So just to make sure when you signed up for the X you did not get charged? I want to sign up but don’t want to get charged right away.

  13. This is so incredibly exciting the only thing that I find very strange is the Babe lash that is only valued at like $65 so I don’t understand why it’s saying a retail value of that. I am very excited for the mascara and the eye shadow palette I hope that it also offers really high end skincare. Also hair care especially for the choices.

  14. Glad Babelash is in choice, that ish scares me so I’ll snag something else.

So everyone gets that lovely Huda palette, the PMG mascara and random of a blush/bronzer and then another thing plus three choices?

If we all get the Huda I’m in (I mean I already signed up but I won’t cancel) that palette should make it easy for the bag to be worth $50 to me

  15. Oh my god this is better than boxycharm

  16. Wow! That’s what I’m talking about. Boxyluxe watch out! I already have and love that palette. It will make a nice gift for my sister.

  17. I am super excited for this box. I feel it has helped me curb some of my shopping this month because there are so many great deals out right now. Knowing I have this beautiful palette coming to me has stopped me from buying any others. Last month was another story. 🤷‍♀️

    • Amanda, I hear you and my wallet agreed. Much calmer. Looking forward to this box… been wearing eye makeup to WFH …

  18. This is looking like a really great box! I’m glad the Babelash is a choice item instead of something everyone gets, because it’s not a product I can use (I have hazel eyes). Excited for everything else!

    • I’m just wondering why having hazel eyes you won’t be able to use Babe lash. I was leaning towards choosing it and but I have hazel eyes too.

      • The Babelash formula contains prostaglandin, the use of which in eye products has been associated with the darkening of the iris in green and hazel eyes. It is a small risk, but not one I am personally willing to take.

      • Not only that, but it can cause fat loss in eyelids so you can end up with sunken/thin eyelids with long term use. Google prostaglandin side effects to stay informed. While I’d love longer lashes, I’m not okay with the possible side effects.

    • Mine are hazel. Why would it be an issue with this product!?

  19. First, that Huda palette is stunning. Yes, I have it already, but if you don’t, it’s beautiful. I think it’s one of my fave Huda palettes ever (toss up between that and Smoky Obsessions).

I already have both the palette and the mascara, and the next two items, the ones you have to choose between, are both things I would like. Maybe I’ll let Ipsy make that choice for me between the lash serum and the dry shampoo. Both are generally staple products for me (although I’ve never used that particular serum).

  20. Ok I signed up! I’ve been wanting that palette since it came out. Am so happy. I’ve been wanting the Babelash also very much. So I get the regular bag and the plus. So if I skip the regular I would only get the X and not the Plus in February. Am also signed up for refreshments. Am also skipping Plus for January so I can afford this box. It’s like Christmas in February. Omg am so excited Wow I really wanted the Huda palette. It’s super awesome. Am on a tight budget and I’ve had to cut back alot in 2020. This is my Christmas present. Huda has the best palettes they’re so beautiful. I’m so excited!!!!! ❤

  21. Ugh I want but I really really really don’t need

  22. I signed up. I wish it was a different Huda palette because I already have this one and Desert Dusk. I’ll probably give the palette to my mom. Overall, it’s a good enough value to take the plunge.

  23. Looks great! Now only if I wore eyeshadow 😁

  24. While I’m not particularly interested in any of these items personally at the moment, I might be if we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic and had use for them. This looks leaps and bounds better than anything Ipsy has ever offered via GBU or otherwise. This actually seems worth the cost, and looks better than anything other beauty boxes are offering.

  25. This looks very tempting! Does anyone know if the upgrade will be optional? Like if I didn’t like the spoilers and wanted to skip that quarter would I be able to?

  26. I’m already signed up for the new sub. So does this mean everyone gets the Huda palette and PM mascara? Cuz that would be an amazing way to start a new sub. Great choices I see too. Hopefully this isnt just a introductory great box. Ipsy Ultimate kinda sucked and I went right back to Plus after a few months. I’m hoping X nails it.

    • Since it said it will include the Huda Palette and PM mascara that we all would receive it in our box!!!! I sure hope that’s the case!!! Then we would have to chose between the Patrick Ta eyebrow wax or the blush for another items. Then the other 2 would be included in choice categories for us to chose from like we do in Glam Bag Plus. I hope that I’m understanding it right and I agree with you on I hope it’s not just a fantastic starter box to lure us in because I’ve dealt with that with the ultimate and boxyluxe. Really disappointing after the first couple!!

      • You definitely have that correct. I have dealt with the 1st few premium being completely excellent and then being horrible. Also Luxe and Ultimate. I really think that ipsy will do well with this though I have really high hopes because they only have to focus on it 4 times a year so I think they will go all out I hope that’s the case at least. The one thing I don’t understand is why the Babe lash is saying it’s a $120 unless it’s a 6 month supply because I purchase that all the time and it’s only $65. I hope to get really high end eye shadow palettes & skincare yay.

  27. I always get confused with these subs. So, does everybody who gets this get the palette and mascara for sure? Then either they will pick the babe lash serum or dry shampoo + the blush or brow set?

  28. I am beyond thrilled. That is my holy grail dry shampoo and blows all others (with the exception of Maria Nila in the blue can) out of the water. If I was ever going to be excited about a black mascara this is definitely the one! A palette I don’t have by a reputable brand that I have heard of! I love blush. I mean this whole thing is just amazing!

    • I’m SOO glad I read your comment because I’ve tried so many different dry shampoos but this one I haven’t and I was wondering if it was any good!! I figured it might be a hard decision since the other choice item was looking pretty good at the moment too. Haha but I think your comment just made my decision for me on wanting to try this dry shampoo!! Thanks haha

      • This dry shampoo is my fave! The whole IGK line is wonderful. If you have bleached/processed hair, try Antisocial by IGK.

      • Amanda I’m so happy I could help! I think I have tried every dry shampoo on the market (My ex-husband is a hairdresser! LOL 🙂 ) and this one is hands down my favorite. The only other one that I love as much is from a company called Maria Nila. They make one in a blue can and a green can. I’ve only ever used the blue can. If you ever get the chance to get your hands on it I would HIGHLY recommend it.

Just like this one from IGK, the Maria Nila one is crazy expensive as far as dry shampoo goes. That is one reason I am so excited to get this one in a box instead of having to purchase it. I am able to go to the local beauty supply store for licensed stylists where I can get it for 50% off but it is till outrageous even then. Since these work so well, I guess in this case you really do get what you pay for! 🙂

I know a lot of people are on dry shampoo overload but I use it A LOT. I have very long, fairly coarse hair that I only shampoo once a week so I use dry shampoo about twice a week. This one gives so much volume and really absorbs oil. Plus it smells terrific! I hope it works great for you as well!

    • Totally agree that it’s the best dry shampoo. If I wash my hair in the AM, it starts getting limp and oily by the time I go to bed, but this stuff degreases me the following day and often lasts into the next day, too. I just can’t be bothered to wash and blow dry my long hair every damn day! Though I’d be more excited about it if I hadn’t just purchased 6 cans from Sephora when it was 50% off in late November! I think I have a total of 9 cans stocked in my closet because I did the same thing when it was 50% off last year. I’m glad it’ll be a choice item so I can choose some other product I haven’t tried yet, but anyone on the fence should def try it.

  29. Not thrilled at all with that Huda palette. I prefer cool tones. The Pat McGrath mascara is a good one but I don’t use it often. Hoping I can cancel.

    • Agree. All that red for eyes, ugh. If I don’t cancel, I suppose I’ll use it in my art.

      • You could just give it too a friend or family member. I’m sure someone will love it because others have different undertones than you do so pinks would look better on them.It is a really good brand and it is wasteful to use a brand new high end eyeshadow palette for art or sell it online new and use the money to buy art supplies.

      • It’s not wasteful at all if it has value in my art. I use cosmetics all the time in art. I get especially high art mileage out of all these black eyeliners! A bit of fixative and eyeshadow lasts as long as any high end pastel.

      • That is one of my winter projects. I was gifted a GIANT palette 5 years ago and haven’t touched it because it is way too big to ever get out. What do you use as fixative? I see people just mixing with liquid glue.

      • It is just that you are using a 65 dollar pallete to do the same task that a 25-year-old dollar store pallete can do. You can sell it for 30$ or trade it online and get so many dollar store pallets secondhand for the same price. I have the Huda desert dusk and the pans are pretty small compared to other brands such as Juvia’s place, and Morphe so you are not getting much material for art. I’m an artist so I understand the fun of using unconventional materials but it is associated with repurposing trash. I know that Ipsy is saying everyone who gets glam bag x will get it but if they get too many subscribers some people who really really wanted the palette but did not get it because it is too expensive won’t get it. You can probably find someone online who would trade a full-size Huda beauty palette with a bunch of expired old used eyeshadows. This would be a better use of your money because you would have a lot more material. If you don’t like the other spoilers you can ask customer service to cancel the bag and use the money to get a lot of cheap used palettes on eBay or Mercari or get really good pastels.

I do not understand the difference between an expired 3$ palette and a new 65$ palette performance on paper. Do eyeshadows on paper perform differently depending on the brand?

      • Catheryn, I appreciate your interest in me and what I do with my art and cosmetics! Let’s see if I can simplify this reply…I have no extra time, and absolutely no desire to sell anything online. So, that’s that. I always feel free to do exactly what I want with the items in my subscription boxes. What others receive, or do not receive is of no concern, and vice versa. The repurpose of unconventional items for art is not always associated with trash. I do not use trash in my art.
Now to your question, yes, higher end color cosmetics do perform better on paper/canvas/etc. Higher end products have higher end pigments, the same as higher end conventional art supplies. I own many, many high end art supplies. I do not have any desire…nor need…to go purchase dollar store cosmetics for my art. The value of using cosmetics I receive in subs that I have no intention to use on my face do have value to me in my art. I hope this helps! Have a wonderful Christmas.

      • Renee, I purchase various brands of spray fixative from Dick Blick Art Supplies. They have super nice fixatives at around $12 per can. You can find cheaper versions at Walmart in their craft secion that work great. Have a great Christmas and enjoy your art!

      • I’d be interested in seeing all of this so-called “art” now that it’s been argued about back and forth by two self-proclaimed, “artists”….hahahahaaa! Tell me, have we heard of either of you two artists???

  30. I really like these spoilers.

  31. Does anyone know if the huda is a guarantee?? I’ll only sign up if I for sure get it and it’s hard to tell lol

    • Yes! The Huda & Pat McGrath will be in everyone’s box! I got an email from Patrick Ta saying we all get those! The babelash & dry shampoo will be choice items. We all get a Patrick Ta blush or brow compact!

      • Becca, thanks for the info! I’m excited for this box. 😊

      • It’s a good thing the babe lash and igk dry shampoo are choice items. Most who have been with boxycharm for any length of time … including myself … have already rec’d these items in boxyluxe.

  32. I honestly can’t wait for this! I signed up and pray I get it🤞😊💞

  33. Wow this looks like a great box. So tempting

  34. This is great!!! I’m so excited!!!
