The Winter 2020 CAUSEBOX is available to order now and we have the third spoiler!

From cozy winter staples to sustainable swaps, the Winter Box has a little of everything: 5 options to customize; 6 sustainable, ethical, full-size products worth up to $275+, one beautifully illustrated collectible box. Yep, all that for just $49.95.

Sounds pretty good, right? We think so, too.

CAUSEBOX is a quarterly subscription box that features brands and items dedicated to doing good all over the world. Many featured brands donate a portion of proceeds to charities and/or may employ local artisans, use ethically-sourced goods, etc.

The Winter box will include:

Activated Eco Reusable Silicone Baking Sheets OR Boon Supply Reusable Zip Pouches

Good taste alert! This winter, let's make less plastic and more deliciousness. Our third spoiler is a choice between two sustainable swaps in the kitchen. Which one are you?
The baker → Make cleanup easy with these @activatedeco Reusable Silicone Baking Sheets and say good by to single-use aluminum foil or parchment paper! Made from 100% food grade and BPA free silicone, this set of 2 pastel green and light grey sheets save 18 rolls of baking paper each year on average. Plus, they're fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe!
The snacker → Take a little for the road with these @boonsupply Reusable (and translucent, for easy viewing 👀) Zip Pouches in 5 different sizes, and replace more than 300 single-use bags each year! Not only are these an excellent sustainable swap, but Boon Supply also gives back big time with their unique business model. 40% of every order with Boon Supply supports a fundraiser of your choice. At CAUSEBOX, we chose to support Teach for America. For this product, a portion of profits will go towards providing TFA's teachers with the training, tools, and resources needed to best support their students in a distance learning environment.
What are you in the mood for?

Lola

The last choice (sweater or kettle) is up now.

Jade

There should actually be 1 more choice item and 1 item everyone gets. 6 items in total. 😀

Reply ButtonReply

AnnaMarie

Does anyone know the skip date or cancel date?

Reply ButtonReply

Mallory @ MSA

Hi AnnaMarie! You can pause Causebox by December 1st to skip the Winter box. Hope this helps!

Reply ButtonReply

AnnaMarie

Thank you!

Lana

For $30 this is not bad so far, but the only item I actually need is the body scrub. Everything else I already have covered

Jess

As someone who has subbed to this for 3 boxes and has mostly enjoyed all of them so far (Fall was half & half), this is a total miss for me. I wouldn’t mind getting this box if I didn’t already have so many of these things from other sub boxes, although not the exact same brands/products, but too similar and this has been the only lifestyle box I subbed to this year. As a seasonal, there are just too many options and the chance that most people won’t get the items they would actually want or use :/ I know I’m not the only person who dislikes that they might put in something that not everyone can use, like earrings. I have a set of the ettitude pillowcases I got as an add on from FFF last year and I really like them though. It’s basically a great box if you’re brand new to sub boxes or don’t pay full price.

Reply ButtonReply

Jes

I got to choose everything but it was difficult as the only thing I really wanted was the socks……so very disappointed 😞 I went annual two boxes ago because I loved my previous boxes. I will not be renewing……l left FFF for this same reason.

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

I’m not excited by any of these spoilers but ended up getting the box at $29.95 with the Black Friday deal. No way would I pay full price though.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

Even for $30 I won’t pull the trigger. Since I’m not annual I don’t have a choice and there’s items in all the categories that I just don’t like. Worst case scenario doesn’t work for me.

Holy cow! Feeling unworthy… I just checked my DM’S, and some of the comments here on MSA, and I want to thank everyone for their support through my fight for the Seasonal members. I’ve gotten a lot of blowback. But, I went for it. I’ve officially reached out to Causebox to try to work some kind of deal for all of the Seasonal members out there. I don’t know how they’re going to respond but, I’m trying. Please show your support so they can see how many people want to get this done. God bless everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Emily

Coffee scrub, socks, and reusable zip bags for me. I already have silicone baking mats and find them very difficult to clean, so they aren’t used super often. I watched the video on FB and i’m pretty excited about the wrap, looks great for WFH.

Reply ButtonReply

Alexis

You know what I’m EXCITED for this box!! I only wish the kitchen option had both! I’ll probably try for a swap later!

Going for the earrings, pillowcase, silicone mats !

Much needed rebound for Causebox after the last box was a major disappointment for me

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I’m one of the only positive subscribers! I’ll take the coasters…better than the set I have now; the pillowcase…I can always use a pillowcase and I don’t care that it’s a single nonor have any concern about color, function is what I see; the baking sheets…I use tons of parchment paper each year and I’m thrilled to have this alternative to waste.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Happy Thanksgiving y’all!

Reply ButtonReply

shannadelap

I’m looking forward to this one! I love the coasters, socks and the baking sheets.

Reply ButtonReply

Zo

There are at least 2 of us, lol!
I want the silicone sheets AND the pouches. I think I’ll choose the earrings for that category.

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

At least three! I’d be happy with any of it but I chose the earrings, pillowcase, and bags. I’ve been looking for more baking mats and have been looking for reusable baggies for my youngest son’s lunches and almost bought one snack size bag last night at kohl’s but it was on sale for $12, for one! So yeah I’ll gladly take 5, woohoo!!!

Angie

Causebox got me hooked with their awesome summer 2020 box and since then it’s been a bust for me. Six items in this box and from the four items I know that are in this box it’s just underwhelming. Hopefully we’ll get full spoilers by November 30, so I can decide if I want to skip or just stick with this box and end my contract with the spring box and be done with this company.

Reply ButtonReply

Pilar

I like those baking sheets!

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

Well, I’ll be honest…$30 is a good price. It’s a pretty smart response to the Seasonal customization backlash and that the box curation is bombing. But, still can’t customize so I’m still out.
This box is very underwhelming but I would pick- coasters, socks, bags, if I could, I guess 😞

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

And for the other spoiler…the wrap??
No. Actually with this spoiler I would be out. Because the kettle won’t go with my kitchen and arrives after Christmas gift giving. The wrap I have a million of from years of this repeat item!!! Ugh

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

Wow, this has to be the most boring holiday box ever… from any box company. I love practical items but gray socks, white coasters and baggies are even too practical for me. At least I’m not disappointed that these won’t be arriving in time for holiday gifting.

Reply ButtonReply

Cyn

This is looking like a big snooze-fest. They are all useful items, but rather boring.

If you’re going to do socks, make them fun!

And I’m jumping on the “seasonal should choose some items” bandwagon. I find this box to be sooooo hit or miss that I would never pay for a full year. But then, a season that I COULD like would only be if I could choose since the items vary wildly.

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

Thank you ma’am! A lot of people seem to agree on this one. Its not that crazy of an idea. 😁

Reply ButtonReply

Suzanne

There’s a video on Facebook that shows the fourth spoiler is a cozy cardigan or a pretty kettle. Also code michelbf gets you the box for $29.99. Works for previous subscribers as well.

Reply ButtonReply

Suzanne

I tried posting the link, but it’s not showing up. Look up Michel Janse on Facebook. It’s her latest video.

Reply ButtonReply

Suzanne

You’re welcome! Someone in a Causebox facebook group posted one of the surveys that was sent out a while ago and it looks like it has sleeves and pockets, which sounds more like a cardigan than a wrap to me. They’re calling it a wrap though.

Izzie

Thank you! I was able to find the video and I went back several times to try to understand if it is a wrap or a cardigan or a hybrid. I’m still clueless lol
I was also looking at the tea kettle. It doesn’t look like it’s one of those that whistle, but I’ll wait for the specs to be released, since, as a seasonal, it’s something that could end up in my box. I do suspect those spoilers will be officially released tomorrow… Does anyone know for how long the Black Friday deal ($30 box, thank you for sharing!) will last?
And happy Thanksgiving all! 🙂

Cyn

A cardigan? I’m surprised they would go into sized items. It’s going to be huge for some people and teeny for others.
And I heard the kettle is stovetop? No way would I use that over an electric kettle. It would be decor only. Sigh. This is a big fail.

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

From what I saw it looks like a wrap. You know the old sub box staple peice of material with a hole or slit cut in it kind of thing. I wish they would stop with these.

Didds

I wish they had done a teapot instead of a stovetop kettle

Izzie

I’m curious to see the video as well.

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

Can you share a link? I’m tempted by the Black Friday deal but only if the next spoilers are less boring

Reply ButtonReply

Kc

I went to Facebook and can’t find it anywhere.

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

Go to Causebox’s Facebook page. Its one of the affiliate videos. The one where she is being allowed funds to be overly excited. Cheesy. Lol
It’s much more exciting at 30 bucks, though. Lol

Emily

Glad my annual subscription is ending. These boxes have consistently been overwhelming. I end up gifting/selling most of what I receive

Reply ButtonReply

AnnessJ

This box is sad. I wasn’t impressed with the fall box and now the winter box is even worse. No wonder why they wanted to bill people a week and a half early! If I had saw these spoilers, I wouldn’t had renewed my yearly subscription.

Reply ButtonReply

Snow

It’s interesting how this subscription keeps to the same color scheme each and every quarter

Reply ButtonReply

Molly Honey

I agree totally. Everything is natural, neutral, mauvy, light green…You know “Causebox-colored.”

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

I got an email with code BF20 to get the winter box for $29.99. Doesn’t look like it works for previous subscribers. Even at $29.99 I’m not tempted based on the spoilers so far. Surely there is a hero item coming.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

So. I like everything spoiled, but so far none of it is anything I’d treat myself with. Hoping for one or two exciting spoilers to even everything out, but it is looking like a very useful box, at least.

Reply ButtonReply

Ashleigh

I like to be upbeat, but… Ok, can we be honest that this is SOOOO disappointing? I’m looking at coasters, socks (because I don’t want one mismatched pillowcase no matter how it is marketed), and now a silicone baking sheet (because I cannot get excited about reusable plastic bags, esp because I already have the bentgo). What a letdown.

Reply ButtonReply

Jordan

Is there anyway to cancel after you have bought into seasonal?

Reply ButtonReply

LP

I know it’s basic, but I was hoping for a candle or something like that. I received an annual as a gift so I will probably still keep the winter box instead of skipping, but I am not too impressed so far.

Reply ButtonReply

Kc

Coasters, pillow case, liners so far. I’ll use everything.

Reply ButtonReply

Ana

Me too! Looks like it’s going to be a box for the house this season lol…
