Yeah I was pretty disappointed when they decided to do another intro box instead of reveal spoilers. I mean, really? It’s near the end of November already and still not a single spoiler! I’m really hoping the first spoiler knocks it out of the park, and isn’t another basil kit/reusable pads situation. Meanwhile I just subscribed to FFF last month and just did customizations for my winter box which I’m hoping will be shipped out before the end of the month. Causebox is a little late to the game at this point. They kept saying the first spoilers would hit the middle of the month, but that has come and went with no spoilers. I heard the first spoiler is coming Monday, which is pretty ridiculous. Doesn’t look like anyone will receive their boxes by or before Christmas. Just disappointed.

Teena – yeah I don’t know what to think. I had been wanting to subscribe to them for a while, and had looked up previous boxes. It’s why I decided to go annual, because I know I loved the stuff they put in their boxes. But now it’s getting a little weird. It’s odd too because with the summer welcome box, they gave the spoilers out over multiple weeks, throughout the whole month. Same with previous boxes. But I noticed with the fall box, they gave out all the spoilers within like 2 weeks. And now Causebox are saying the majority of their spoilers will be out by December 1st, but they’re not even revealing spoilers until the 23rd – tomorrow.

Like, why not just give the spoilers starting at the beginning of the month, then you can build anticipation? Not just throw it at everyone all at once. FFF revealed all their spoilers before the end of October! I love the stuff in their boxes, and their customer service has been incredible to me, but this fall intro box was a stupid, stupid idea. Maybe they just have a huge amount of these Swell bottles and PMD’s lying around and just want to get rid of them so they don’t put them in more boxes? But they just could have done all this differently. They could have advertised the welcome box sooner, and the intro box last month.

It just doesn’t sit well with me that they not only decided to push another intro box instead of giving Winter box spoilers, but also the fact that they charged a “handful of annual subscribers” for another year on Friday – before even a single spoiler for the winter box. Even though it didn’t impact me since I signed up in the summer, it’s just a bit shady. I mean of course people subscribed for a year without knowing what they were getting, but to charge people for another year with no spoilers at all for what’s to come? Just does not sit well with me at all. I’d be really annoyed if I was one of those impacted by it.

I’m not saying FFF or other sub boxes are better, because a lot of them do the same things. I’ve heard FFF puts out “editor boxes” and other boxes the same as Causebox, plus apparently FFF has even more sales throughout the year. Don’t even get me started on Boxycharm either. But Causebox seriously needs to take a step back and take a break with all these extra boxes. Especially ones so late in the game. They should have never done a fall intro box in the middle of November, they should have just moved on with the winter box and started putting out spoilers. Especially since the fall box didn’t sell well, and there were lots of complaints from people everywhere I looked. People were upset about the robes/towels, and others upset about the lack of fall theme, etc. They should have taken the hint people were done with fall.

If I remember correctly, they mentioned on Instagram that they’ll start releasing spoilers for the winter box on Monday. They for sure are building anticipation

I’m surprised about all of the annoyance. It’s an intro/welcome box. It’s not meant for annual subscribers, and if you’re not getting the four boxes per year, this is a pretty good introduction. it’s worth it for the bottle alone. i only do fff, and i found out about causebox more recently. i actually opted for this intro box because i wanted a swell bottle and thought the pmd might be good for serums 🙂

The annoyance is because by this time last year, they had already released 4 spoilers for the winter box. Add to that, apparently some annual subs will be charged tomorrow for another year instead of December 1st – before even 1 spoiler is revealed for the winter box. I have to say, it’s a bit shady. And their post on Instagram joking about it is a bit tone deaf and in bad taste. I signed up for a year with the summer welcome box. I have liked almost all the items they’ve had in their boxes, which is why I went annual. And of course when you sign up for a year, you don’t know what you’ll be getting in the 4 boxes. But I can understand why a bunch of people are annoyed or upset not only of there being no spoilers but of having their payments moved up.

FFF just finished customization of their winter box and some have already received them, and Causebox still has yet to even release one spoiler. And now I see that apparently the add-on marketplace is opening tomorrow, and I certainly don’t want to buy something similar to what I might get in the box. When the fall add-on market opened, we already had full spoilers for the fall box. This time though, not even one spoiler. I do love Causebox, and they have been amazing to me with any issues I’ve had with my items, but the wait is killer. I was hoping to get this box before the end of December, but I’m not very hopeful now.

Going for it since these 2 items are the ones I actually wanted from the past boxes and it was more expensive to get on Mercari or Ebay. The 3rd item is just a plus lol

It appears the Winter Box will be a complete duplication of last year, not arriving by Christmas. I am an annual member, but I have NO IDEA why this company continues to make these basic mistakes. We need a winter box with teasers NOW, so this can be shipped out in early December and arrive by Christmas. There was a LOT of issues last year and multiple “we will get it better” notes were sent, but this shows that they aren’t interested in making it any better or timely this year.

I became aware of causebox last fall and really liked the offerings at that time. Feels like a different sub at this point and it’s definitely nothing I feel compelled to sub annually for. Hopefully they can turn it around with the winter box!

It’d be nice if they just stuck with four boxes a year and made them really nice ones. What are they doing now, 12/year? With many repeating items? I’m halfway through my first annual sub with them and I won’t be renewing. They clearly had a good thing going and got greedy. At this point, I’d rather take $50 to TJMaxx and treat myself to a few things.

All these other boxes are designed for new subscribers, not existing ones. I’ve received no duplicate items as an annual subscriber. Hope that helps.

It’s still only 4 boxes a year.
It’s only because the Fall box sold out. Then the Fall Welcome Box sold out. So it’s just for new subscribers or if you reactivate. It’s not going to affect your 4 seasonal boxes.

Similar to Fabfitfun when they run out Fall or Winter boxes, the release Member’s Pick boxes (used to be Editor’s boxes).

Yeah, I’m a little worried that we are 2 weeks out from billing (less than that for people that got an email saying their billing was changed to Nov 20th), and they are putting out an intro box instead of pre-selling the winter box.

Right? I have 4 PMD at this point, one for my face and one for my arms in the shower, 2 I’ll either gift or sell for cheap I haven’t decided yet. And I have 2 s’well bottles though I do use the one and will probably gift the other
