My fall seasonal lifestyle box is currently in transit and UPS is now asking for a C.O.D. fee of almost $40 to have the box delivered. I live in Canada and this is my first Bombay and Cedar box. Wanting to know if other Canadian subscribers are also seeing the same fee?

I’m hoping it is some sort of mix up since I already paid a shipping fee on top of the cost of the box. I’ve reached out to Bombay and Cedar to ask them to look into it.

Thanks for posting this! I was just about to subscribe but I’m going to hold off now. It’s really not going to be worth it if it ends up costing almost $65 shipping for every box.

I’m confused. Does the winter box include all of these items or do you just pick one? Also, will we be able to choose more items for the box or just one item? Now that this box is quarterly I’m finally ready to sign up.

my fall box just arrived, 11//14/2020. And I am embarrassed that I spent money on so many random, useless (to me) items. I DID like the candy, I’ll gift the lip balm and holder to an elementary school aged relative, the candle is awesome! The scarf is nice, the color doesn’t go with much that I have, and certainly not with what is coming out this season…Everything else made it to the trash pretty quickly and frustratingly… Not sure it was worth the $70+ paid. At the listed value, it barely made it. At the actual value, I lost on this one. If the gallon Kombucha jar had a lid, that could maybe have been salvaged for something. I am bummed and hoping the next three seasons make up for this first one. Fingers crossed! I love Bombay and cedar, but am really disappointed in myself for wasting money on this. Here’s to the future, a better future:). I hate to be negative, but people need to know that sometimes you lose. It is a risk we take with subscription boxes. Maybe if there were an option to just not receive items that we will throw away, then there wouldn’t be such waste? Just a thought.

I like the items I chose (candle and pickle kit). I was going to give away the lip balm but then I clipped it in my car now that the weather is cooler and it won’t melt. All of the other items were misses for me. If I chose every item in the either/or category (which we did not get to choose) I got the complete opposite. Arm warmers?! 80’s gold circle earrings – not for me. I was very excited for the treat but it was bananas foster peanut brittle. It’s not good. The food guard lids I actually like a lot, however, I love and use the clear ones from another box (I think it was causebox). I did like the body scrub truffles. I received mojito and they smell nice. All-in-all I guess it was a 50-50 box for me. It’s just that the 50 I don’t like I *really* don’t like – not even a little. Did I mention the arm warmers?

My 1st box and I AGREE Janet. IT was AWFUL! Like a bunch of useless crap. I am beyond disappointed. and mad at myself cause they’re outrageously overpriced. WHen I opened it I was like what is all this crap??

I’m so tempted. That first diffuser is beautiful! How quickly does this box usually sell out?

I have a fragrance warmer from that company and they work perfectly to get the last of the scent from the large Bath & Body Works candles. Depending on the scent, I can get anywhere from a few more days to weeks from that little bit at the bottom of the candle lol.

Thanks for the info! The warmer was my pick. I hate to leave candles unattended, and I don’t have good, safe spot to burn them in my new place. I thought this was a great way to use the candles I have.

I just signed up but it’s not showing my first shipment until February 2021 – anyone else have that problem? I really want the Winter box!

Update – I contacted B&C right after I made this post, and less than an hour later they have already responded and are fixing the glitch. Now that’s service! Wow!

My label was created 10/27 and is scheduled for delivery today. Hopefully I get my choices as my sister in-law didn’t get hers.

Becca

Mine shipped on the 27th also but hasn’t even made it to UPS! Pissed!

I went with the diffuser – I have one but want another so I can have one by my bed and one by my desk 🙂 I got my Fall box a couple weeks ago – so far I’m sticking with monthly and quarterly!

Jen

Yes. Mine just arrived this week and had a bag of mystery items in it. It has been so long since I signed up that I forgot there was a promo until I read this lol.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

So glad you mentioned the mystery bag! I most definitely used that promo code when placing my order and did not receive the mystery bag. Will be writing customer service now!

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Ohhhhh… now I get it! I was wondering what that bag was! I obviously also completely forgot about the promo…

Mine was 10/28 with no change. I got it 2 days ago.

My first box’s label was created on Oct 31st and still no movement or sent to a facility.

Dawn

My mystery box label printed 10/21 and seasonal box 10/27. Both haven’t moved at all.

Joan

My label was also created on 10/31. I’ve only been able to figure out when it will arrive by downloading the UPS app. Mine is scheduled to arrive on 11/15.

Heidi

Mine was also created 10/31, but it hasn’t shipped yet. UPS is estimating it will arrive 11/7, lol.

Annie

My label was also created on 10/31. They didn’t actually send it until 11/11 and it is out for delivery today. I signed up with the promo that was supposed to include a mystery box. Does anyone know if that is being shipped with the regular box? Has anyone who signed up with that promo gotten the mystery box?
