I spoke with Fortnum’s customer service and sadly this year’s calendar will not be shipping to the US. Something to do with 4 items not being able to ship outside the UK and possible customs issues as a result. I am heartbroken because I only found out about advent calendars last year and I fell in love with last years Fortnum calendar but it had already sold out before I could order one. I vowed to not miss out on this years, only to find out it can’t be shipped here. I can only hope next years calendar will be amazing and will be able to ship to the US. Same goes for Cult Beauty. This year’s calendar selection have been for the most part unimpressive nothing like last years. So far the calendars I have ordered include: 1 Lush’s Beauty Advent calendar (jumped on it the day it launched but now regretting spending so much for it plus to ship it hope I like it), 2 Holland and Barrett( ordered one for me and one has a gift received it quickly and well worth it.), 3 The White Company, 4 Glossybox.

May I know what products got you so excited about this calendar? I saw it the other day and wasn’t impressed. And I took a look again today and nothing screams to me.

From what I have seen so far, I have found that the Cult Beauty and the Liberty London advent calendars to have the most attractive products (to me).
But if they don’t ship to US, then I’ll be saving the money to buy 3 Net A Porter kits, which have even more value in products.
For those who really want the calendars, if you plan on getting several purchases from the UK, you can use the forwarding services. If you group the purchases, be careful not to go over $800 total or you’ll have to pay custom fees.

Cindy

Which forwarding services do you use when purchasing from UK please? Thanks.

You can use ColisExpat mentioned by Gwen, I’ve never tried them before. I checked and they work just like the other forwarding cies in term of use and fees.
For me, I have used MyUKmailbox when buying from the UK and they are very reliable. Others have referred Forward2me. You just need to simulate with the type of package you plan to send to see which one has the best rate.

Gwen

Shipping from anywhere is not a barrier. I use ColisExpat for $24ish per year- I get my own shipping addresses and phone numbers in the UK & EU. Everything you purchase is forwarded to their France warehouse. I enter the info for each item purchased for customs. It gives you detailed choices of all the shipping options and exact prices. They hold packages for 30 days, so if you’re shopping a number of sales over a few weeks they will repackage and combine for free (one package is always cheaper than 5 separate ones. I typically choose a shipping option that includes tracking so it’s easy for me to see what’s happening. I got used to shipping the twice yearly sales in France because my husband works there and we had been traveling back and forth. The markdowns get steeper as the sale goes on❤️. He’s a teacher so we are always watching $. Monoprix is the French version of Target – they sell too of the line cosmetics with sales where everything is 25-30% off. If you’re not familiar with shopping in the different countries, ColisExpat has a store directory and you can just click on it to explore different sales.I have used this service to ship just about everything imaginable including flea market purchases I sent to myself. I set my eBay and Amazon accounts you with multiple shipping addresses. They even allow door-to-door supermarket deliveries (candies, cookies, my favorite dried pasta -Rummo from Italy). A good rule of thumb for customs is whatever you can bring home on the airplane you can ship through this service (for example cookies, packaged goods, no eggs or milk 🤣). I’ve never been charged any additional fees. I only experienced one fiasco and it wasn’t their fault. I left my iPad in between the sheets of a little seaside hotel on the coast of Spain. I gave the hotel my Spain shipping address for ColisExpat. The hotel somehow omitted writing my name on it as well as my 5 digit ColisExpay number 🙄🤔. After all that ColisExpat managed to find it six months later and send it to me❤️. Now you have a new problem – the world is your shopping oyster…

Thank you for this information. I am looking at their site where they say any retailer in France can be used. Uou mention Italian products. I am trying to understand how I ou can obtain those and use this service as inwojks like a product from the UK.

GMforever

Thanks very much Gwen for the info. I did not know about ColisExpat. This is great because this will help a lot with my shopping for French and Italian products!

Abby

Thanks so much Gwen! This is the beat info ever 🤩, now the world will officially be my mall.

Emi

Hi! Thanks so much for the info! So you pay the $24 for the year and then you get charged whatever the cost is to ship your item to the states? Is that correct t?

Diamond

I had gotten The Look Fantastic Beauty in Wonderland a few years ago. I got it for the actual box. They were drawers without the numbers on them. I thought the box was the most beautiful thing ever. I still use it daily and goes well with my bedroom decor. I’d totally buy another if it came close to that style.. But sadly I have not seen one.

I don’t care much for the individual drawers on these callendars with the number on them.

And the price is far too high for me with products I won’t use up right away. I’d rather go on a $300 shopping spree else where.

For those who are interested in the box: I have mine from last year listed on ebay. It’s gorgeous and so sturdy and I’m having a hard time parting with it but I really have no use for it. It’s less Christmas-y than this year’s design, but the same coloring and construction.

Is that yours for 374.00 U.S. dollars plus 33.00 shipping? Asking because I was interested and thought since it was last years, it may of been slightly discounted.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Last year’s F&N calendar was ~$230 with shipping and after VAT was removed.

Shari

Oppps 354.00 how much was last years box?

Luna

That’s what I was thinking 🙂 I do remember last year Cult Beauty had it marked as not shipping to the U.S., but I’d sporadically check their site before it went live, and it would switch to shipping to the U.S., to not, then back to shipping to the U.S. And, since F&M has shipped their calendars to the U.S. in the past, I find it odd that they wouldn’t this year. It’s actually been available for pre-order for a while, so I hope it doesn’t sell out before they decide(?) to ship it to the U.S., lol.

Would love to have this advent calendar, unfortunately due to the Covid, this is a bit out of my reach. If I had over 200 to spend I would probably save it for my grands for something special for Christmas.

Denise

Will they ship to Canada ? Cause my friend has a friend there also.

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

So. Is it against the law to have someone buy it and ship it to you?? Is that beauty bootlegging ? Or mail fraud ? Asking for a friend… Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

Luna: I was checking it last night (cult) and it is saying it is shipping around the globe on the top, yet it does state “not shipping to your country..(.USA)” down below, so im not sure either what exactly that means…. i think there’s still a chance, lol…

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I saw that too! 🙂 My gut is saying that it’ll ship to the U.S. like last year, but I just hope it actually works when it goes live! Still make sure to sign up for their waitlist if you’re interested! I think I had to change the country to one they’re shipping to in order to sign up for the waitlist. 🙂

Svetlana7e

On ig they said they will ship to USA.

Luna

Good to know! Thanks for sharing Svetlana 🙂

@Luna
I also wanted this but I may get the SpaceNK gwp instead. Minimum is £175 but it looks pretty good, and there’s a really good review of La Mer serum on the ReallyRee site, have you seen it?

Abby

I am keeping my fingers crossed, because I don’t think I would be able to deal if I can’t get my hands on my Diptyque calendar this year.

This would official be the worst year ever if these calendars don’t come stateside.

Reply ButtonReply

Dom

I just want the box. It’s so pretty!

Reply ButtonReply

Connie

I had really wanted this calendar but unless I am doing something wrong looks like it will not ship to United States.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I really wanted this calendar too! I’ve bought it the past couple of years, and loved it. I’m sad it says it’s not shipping to the U.S. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Svetlana

Yeah
Totally
I got it last year and loved it!!! Hopefully shipping options will change before it sells out.🤞😕

Luna

I don’t think this is shipping to the U.S. this year 🙁

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong or if they’ll be having a U.S. calendar, because I would LOVE to get this one.

Reply ButtonReply

Abby

it looks like you’re right, maybe you can try contacting them.

i really hope this won’t be the trend for this year because some of the best calendars comes from the UK. this would really suck and ruin my holiday of spoiling my fav person – me 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Oh I know. First this one, then it appears like Cult Beauty won’t be shipping to the U.S. this year either. Wah!!! I’ll still be checking on both of these calendars periodically until they sell out in the off chance they do decide to ship to the U.S. It doesn’t hurt to hope! 🙂

Rochelle

I hope they add delivery to the US…it’s beautiful!

Luna

Me too! 😀
