Just received the September box today. Rare is it that I get a box I will use 100% of the items. There’s tech taffy and it really works! There’s a pack of Craize sweet corn cracker and it’s super addictive. Evolue hydrating serum sample (1/3 of full size). This is my only lifestyle sub now (oh, there’s Journee box) so I am happy that I like it.

I am not trying to be ugly or complain, but my August box still hasn’t shipped nor has my missing item from my July box…also I TOTALLY misunderstood the way they handled the monthly to seasonal thing. I thought they stated that they would ask before automatically billing us for the lower priced monthly and I thought billing started on the first day of the month now. Not only was I billed automatically for the lower priced monthly box but I was billed on the 27th and not the first. I emailed them firsth thing on the 28th asking (very nicely) about it and still haven’t heard a peep back from them. I think my subscription is going to end before it ever really got started. This just isn’t fun. I wanted to do seasonally instead of monthly once they made the change but now that I have already been billed for September I guess not…

Well, my August box “shipped” on September 17. However, according to tracking, it’s apparently still waiting to be picked up by UPS, a week later…So, I probably won’t receive the August box until October… Now I’m wondering about asking for my money back for the September box, as I know someone had success doing that. I love their products, but this is ridiculous, the amount of time they have my money before I get the actual box…

I have had the same experience. They billed me for my first box and then billed me again for another box. I’m still waiting for my August box which didn’t ship until I sent them repeated emaisl asking why they billed me twice without ever shipping me a box. So I got a shipping notice, but it hasn’t actually moved. I cancelled. Maybe if they get their shipping issues figured out and I actually receive both of the boxes I’ve paid for I’ll reconsider them in the future.

This is in response to both JuliaJ and Jill-I totally agree with both of you. JuliaJ, the thing is, I’m too nervous to cancel before I get the other 2 boxes I’ve already paid for. If they can’t respond to me now as a paying member with 2 missing boxes, I can’t image what a goat roping it would be to try and get them once I have already cancelled. I truly hope it goes well for you. Please keep us posted!

What really gets me the most is that like Jill stated, I’m all about giving boxes a shipping pass because of COVID and I’m even willing to overlook a longer that usual response time to my email, but this is just silly. And what really bothered me is that they are very aware of their shipping problems to the point that they mentioned them in their Q&A about why they are staring a new seasonal box before they get the current monthly ones out. The problem is their answer to that question was not actually an answer. Just a bunch of gibberish basically saying, “WE JUST ARE.” If I ever receive the 2 boxes I have already paid for I am going to cancel immediately.

Jill

The thing with the shipping issues is…I give a pass to most places now because of Covid. But Bombay & Cedar were having shipping issues long before the pandemic started. They said it was an issue with their shipping company and changed companies…but then there was *still* an issue. I would be OK with the delay if I wasn’t charged for the next month’s box before the current one arrived… I like their boxes so much that I put up with it, but I’m starting to think I need to leave. Especially after them saying they’d start charging and shipping in the same month, then, like others, I got billed for September at the end of August (they did fix the incorrect shipping charge). It’s just frustrating…

Hi Jill,I always tell them the scent I want in the notes, and they always give me the scent I want,so you will probably get the one you want,I wanted the orange.

Wasn’t the “bash” theme for August? The website shows September theme is Resilient. I’m thinking of subscribing and want to make sure I have it straight first! Thanks!

Somebody’s going to pump this into their drink.

Both look nice, but I chose the hand sanitizer. It will be perfect for my end table next to my couch–I keep hand sanitizer there because I often have a sleepy kitty in my lap, who I don’t want to disturb if I need to wash my hands after blowing my nose. 😉 I also work in an office (no WFH for me yet) and I could take it there, too, but it’s kind of too nice…ha.

I went with the shower powder. I was hoping we could pick the scent, but we couldn’t. In the notes at the end, I said I’d prefer lemongrass or orange, so we’ll see! I love the look of the hand sanitizer, but I prefer something I can stash in my purse (I guess I could have refilled bottles with it?)
