I’ve been disappointed the past several times, I see the spoilers, they look great! I used to get so excited couldn’t wait until the beginning of the month, now I get them and say oh yea must be the beginning of the month. Really thinking of canceling not happy when I open them anymore. No big surprises like before!!

( I skipped all for 4 bags except a PYT little palette. I had very poor choices for Ultimate).

Are the eye shadows in the Cool palette really cool? Only the darkest one looks cool on my screen. If they are cool, I will love to try it! I have such a hard time with all the warm shades that look great on many others but not on me. 😉 Thanks to anyone who might know!

Seems I receive a highlighter and contour every month! I also received a cleanser for acne in August. I am a mature women with no acne! I double checked my profile and my age is clearly correct. I will see how September goes but if things don’t change I will cancel.

Hi Bev, I got that cleanser too and found it “funny”. Thankfully I have a teen who is using it. I have been a member for a long time and rate most skin care low; so I usually don’t get any. I have checked that I rarely want any skin cleansers, in case that helps. I also wonder if they gave me that because of something I chose. I usually let them pick for me, but when I choose, I get whatever comes with that item. They send out a lot of bronzer and highlighter in summer. Maybe winter will be more of my cool shades. I hope you get what you want this fall.

I took one look at that bag and immediately thought of That 70’s Show and my own youth (graduated high school in 1977). I think someone I knew had a couch in that material. I bought the August IPSY bag because I have wanted the Wanderess Rush palette for a while, and it was free for new subscribers. I went on the site to cancel for September ( I have been laid off since 5/1, I have been collecting but since the extra $600 ended, I’m trying to not buy stuff I don’t actually need). Their site asked why I was cancelling, I cheked off ‘financial reasons’ and they offered me September for free. I was really, REALLY impressed with IPSY for that. If I get another job between now and the next month, I think I will keep the sub going! Thnk you, IPSY, for being so nice. I’ve been feeling a little depressed because of the whole Covid/unemployed situation and IPSY’s kind offer really brightened my day. I just wish they had an option where you could request NO MASCARA EVER as I am drowning in it.

Amazed! I cancelled after they sent 2 primers (I had asked for no primers or moisturizers) and chalky pale contouring stuff that was completely wrong shade, ignoring my quiz and comments. So I complained, which did nothing because they sent me more primer and moisturizer the next month, and a contour brush. I think you got lucky. Since I also bought things (Shopper, add/ons) I actually liked, and reviewed everything, I have loads of Points, and just looking around at Joining for another month sometime to spend them. Oh, this is after they failed to send a points item and also failed to send some products I ordered the first month (gave a strange excuse, saying that the delivery company returned it to them because the package was not labeled correctly, BUT THE GB ARRIVED and SOME of the items!)

SharonDK you can opt out of 1 type of product with Ipsy. You used to be able to opt out of 3 types but now it’s just 1. If you keep your subscription email customer service and let them know. I have always gotten excellent customer service from Ipsy.

I love the Purlisse bb so, I would like to try the CC cream, if the brush is a choice item then it will seal the deal I will pick that, and the PYT clean pallete looks interesting too. I was going to skip but these spoilers are drawing me in. Lol!

I want that pyt palette. A local clean beauty store by me has that brand and I’ve been wanting to try it, so I really hope it’s a choice item or add on.

I really like the bag shape, color and material. Very different and perfect for fall. The products, I still cannot decide what will be my choice. This is my second month with IGB, since I cancelled my IGBP subscription two months ago and I am not sure how long I will keep this subscription.

I’ve been getting the GB for 2 years and the Plus for a year I think. If you’re thinking of canceling the Plus you can just “pause” it for 1, 2, or 3 months! I paused 1 so far and I think I’ll skip Sept Plus. I have to re-do my profile since I’m getting too many cleansers for acne! I’m old…..and never had problem skin even when I was a teen…yeah I was lucky! When I get stuff for problem skin I give it to my 16 year old grandson! He’s at the age when zits appear! I give some stuff to my 31 year old g-daughter, like the red lipsticks they always send UGH! And then my daughter that is almost the “oh my god not that number”! I bought the numbers 4 and 9 for her cake this year and reversed them lol (I told you I was old!)
But I digress! Back on topic …IPSY
I LOVE the Add-Ons! I check what I’m getting in my bag and if I like it I look to see if it’s offered as an Add-On…..if so I’ll buy it! That way I’ll get 2 either to keep both or give 1 away!
I admit that I spend more on the Add-Ons than I do on the price of the sub! That’s how many cool things are available to choose from!
So think about “skipping”, (pausing), a month instead of canceling, before you give up on it totally!

My August glam bag plus was worst… It is a thin cloth sack with IPSY on the front. So cheap!

Agreed! I actually like the drawstring.
I found it to be a perfect size and easy and effective for storage. The actual material though 😒
I had it for .5 seconds and set it on my kitchen table and immediately stained it. If you so much look at the material it stains. I hope they will switch to something more durable like their regular bags.

Haha I love reading the comments because it’s a good reminder how we are all different in a good way. I saw this bag and thought I love it! Last month’s bag I don’t care for but many raved about it. I don’t get the draw for the facial mists, I got one in my bag and thought MEH, yet I see some people picked that as their choice item. I guess if we were all the same the world would be a boring place!

Sometimes I think I won’t like a bag and it is usually much prettier in person. I like the shape of this, wish it were another color, even a brighter shade of yellow, but I know someone that will LOVE this and can’t wait to fill it up and surprise her with it! 🙂 I also love some bags others hate; so I’m glad they do such a broad variety. It keeps us all happy with a few bags with plenty to give away happily to someone that loves them more.

Deb I love the bag too! People need to realize when they make these comments that just because something isn’t their style doesn’t mean it’s “ugly” or “gross” to other people. I always try to say “it’s not for me” so I’m not coming off as insulting to someone else.. As you said it’s good everyone doesn’t like the same things or it would be a very boring world.

This month I got billed for an annual subscription even though I never signed up for that and I’ve never had an annual with ipsy before. Anyone had that happen?

One time, i was billed twice for the same month. I contacted Ipsycare immediately and they took care of the extra charge. I would contact Ipsy ASAP and tell them that you never signed up for the Annual Subscription and that it has to be a mistake on there part. Especially if you cant afford to spend that kind of money right now. Ipsy should understand and hopefully take care of it., unless you are just wanting to go ahead and keep the Annual Subscription. Hope this helps!

Seeing some things I’d like to try: Purlisse CC Cream (hope it comes in Fair/Light), Benefit primer, Tarte’s Big Ego Mascara, possibly that eye shadow quad I’ve got so much skin care to go thru, I’d like a bag more makeup heavy.

Missing the cute bags of years past – sequin, Gudetama, clear with ice cream cones, cute zipper pulls, cute shapes, different materials – MUCH more creative.. These are now all pretty boring. The iridescent one for August is at least a little different.
