  • Option 2: A box curated by our Co-founder and CEO Katia. In her curated box, you’ll be able to try products and brands she loves, so you can learn more about and follow her beauty routine.

  1. Just received the Oribe and it’s a travel size. I thought the swap was supposed to be for full size products? Overall disappointed with BB.

  2. So…I went to the website because I wanted to buy the mask limited edition discovery kit & I saw that it was free if you sign up for Birchbox for 6 months

So I signed up, I think it will be great to try things from this subscription box.

I made my selection for the Clean Routine box 🙂

  3. I’m not thrilled with any of the choices, but I’m stuck for another 6 mos (subbed for a year). One month I didn’t select anything and ended up with a really good box. I may just do that. Now that I know the Oribe item is just 1.7 oz, worth almost the cost of the box.

Darn, not a great set of choices. I think I’ll roll the dice and see what happens

  4. I wrote to them and received this answer:

    Thanks for being in touch!

Our Tech Team is working to resolve this issue as soon as possible—we appreciate your patience!

Our Clean Beauty Curated Box contains the following samples:

Pai Avacado and Jojoba Day Cream
    Pur-Lisse Watermelon Energizing Sheet Mask
Archipelago Botanicals Charcoal Rose Body Lotion
    Juara Candlenut Hydrating Shower Gel
    Davines Renaissance Circle Hair Mask
ARROW Nourishing Lip Oil – Color Enhancing Pink

The September “Swap your Box” Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer is travel size (1.7oz).

  5. I thought it was full size because they usually do a full size in the swap. I went back and edited my choice after they messaged me back on IG.

    • I don’t know what happened, that was supposed to be a reply to Joy.

  6. Does anyone know if you swap your whole box for the single item (Oribe) how big is it? Is it like a deluxe sample? Full size?

    Thank you!

  7. The travel size is still 1.7 oz/50 ml. It’s worth $19

  8. I emailed Birchbox and this is what they said is inside the clean box.

    Our Clean Box contains:

Pai Avacado and Jojoba Day Cream
    Pur-Lisse Watermelon Energizing Sheet Mask
Archipelago Botanicals Charcoal Rose Body Lotion
    Juara Candlenut Hydrating Shower Gel
    Davines Renaissance Circle Hair Mask
ARROW Nourishing Lip Oil – Color Enhancing Pink

    • Thank you! Not sure what’s going on with their website…

  9. That “comfort zone” product is terrific but so tiny!

I thought that the previous spoiler said that one of the choice items would be a leave-in hair product in a yellow tube. Maybe I’m confused.

    • That was a spoiler for the October box, not September 🙂

      • Thank you Kelly! My poor brain.

  10. I went with the second box, even though I did not recognize those last two products. I love the sheet mask and any Davines product does wonders for my hair. I’m locked in at the 10.00 price as an ACE and have been enjoying the newer curated boxes but would not feel that it was a good value if it were one cent higher. Too many repeats and sample tubes that seem to be mostly air.

  11. oh god….will i be glad to end this 6-month deal..there is nothing i want..

    • Exactly

  12. I think the Arrow product is the lip oil.

    • I agree.

  13. Box number 1 looks like a winner to me! I am super interested in the scalp scrub. I have the sulfur mask and absolutely love it as a spot treatment overnight (it can be used as a full face, regular wash off mask as well).

    • I chose that box for the same reasons you did, although I haven’t actually tried the sulfur mask, but it sounds like a great thing to have on hand. I am interested in trying all the scalp scrubs out there!

  14. Wow….finally some new products I’ve never seen in their boxes before. Both choice boxes look promising and love the IT secret sauce.

  15. I was just going to ask the same thing. What size is the Oribe swap? Travel size? Usually they give an RV for the full sized swap!

    • Exactly my question!

    • It’s 1.7 oz

      • Thank you! Based on that info, I’m going with the curated box instead!

  16. I went with the Oribe although this does not look like it is the full size version of this product. Does anyone know which size this is? Usually when you can swap the entire box for just one product it is the full size of that product. Surely they are not sending out a sample size of this as a full box substitution, right?

    • I asked on Instagram if they Oribe is full size and they messaged me back that it’s travel size! Needless to say I changed my choice to the curated box.

      • What?? Ooh that makes me so sad, I was positively giddy when I thought it might be full size. The first time I used this detangler I literally gasped outloud. It is soooooo nice.
How do they justify that? This is my last month and I will not be renewing. I was considering doing 3 more months once I saw the Oribe, but now I’m just a little disheartened. 🙁
Thank you for doing the dirty work and keeping us informed, even if it was kind of a buzz kill 😉

      • Thank you so much!!!!!! OMG I hope I can still change my mind! That is bananas!
