The Beauty Box by Bombay & Cedar August Spoiler #1!

We have a spoiler for the August 2020 The Beauty Box by Bombay & Cedar!

The Beauty Box by Bombay & Cedar is a skincare and makeup subscription box featuring vegan and cruelty free full size and deluxe size beauty products.
Each August box includes:

Evolue Skincare Age Perfect Eye Cream OR Hydrating Serum

Evolue Skincare Hydrating Serum (Vegan) – $68

A unique formula with high, low, and super low molecular weight hyaluronic acids that protect, hydrate and repair. This serum improves the skin’s natural balance and plumps where skin is lacking in hydration. It keeps skin from showing signs of premature aging by preventing lines from deepening and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Revitalizes dull, dry skin.

Good for all skin types / Mature / Dry / Dull

Evolue Skincare Age Perfect Eye Cream (Beegan) – $98

Contains a skin-identical lipid concentrate that hydrates, firms, and lifts the skin around the eyes while calming and soothing the vulnerable eye area. Packed full of anti-oxidants, squalane protects the skin, making this the ultimate eye cream that can be applied on any dry, irritated, or wrinkled area.

Good for all skin types, especially effective for aging/mature skin

Good question! The product you receive will be based on your Personal Profile Quiz. If you haven’t yet filled yours out, you may do so here.

If you have chosen Beegan, Vegetarian or Other then you will receive the Age Perfect Eye Cream.

If you have chosen Vegan then you will receive the Hydrating Serum.

If you do not fill out your profile by August 12th, then you will randomly receive either the Age Perfect Eye Cream or Hydrating Serum.

You can update your profile at any time. For example, if you are vegetarian but prefer the serum then be sure to mark your profile as vegan before August 12th. You can always change it back to vegetarian when you’re ready.

  1. I got some Evolue face oil in my Ipsy in November or something and it smelled rotten. It’s the most horrible smelling thing I ever put on my face. I threw it away. Dont know if I got a bad one or what but anything that smells rancid is not going on my face.

  2. I can’t figure out how to cancel. There’s no way to cancel under manage my subscription.

    • If you click on Manage subscription and then click on manage, a drop down menu will appear. At the very bottom, you can cancel. Hope that helps.

  3. I finally decided to cancel this month after seeing this spoiler. I’ve been with the box since the beginning, so it was hard to let go. There have been some fun surprises, but I’m overloaded on product right now, & after a $1700 car repair bill last month, I decided I’d prefer to have the $30 in my bank account than to receive this box.

    • You’re wise.

      • I like to think I have my moments! 😂

  4. There’s 3 Patchology mystery boxes available now.

  5. I like that you can choose which item you want by altering your profile accordingly. However, I’m not sure why they didn’t just let us choose in a survey like before? Nonetheless, I’m happy to be able to choose and not get the FOMO of variations!

  6. The serum was in IPSY awhile back. I wish I could guarantee the eye cream. I skipped August. I really like that they have an easy skip option.

    • You can guarantee the eye cream by making sure your profile doesn’t say vegan. Everybody else gets the eye cream.

      • Awesome! Thanks.

      • Guess i should have read the entire post 😊

  7. Just for the record, super-low weight HA is inflammatory.

    • So is rhetoric! Do you mean “flammable”? 🙂

      • No, I mean it causes inflammation. Which is proven, not by rhetoric, but by science.

      • Sorry, why would you say that?

Research bears that out, for now anyway. And, most people don’t know.

      • 👎🏻 👎🏻 👎🏻

    • Apricot, I was replying to Julia’s comment about me meaning flammable, not inflammatory (which I didn’t really get) but yeah, most people don’t know that this serum could be quite irritating to the skin from all the research I’ve been reading! I was surprised to find out myself, and I thought folks might want to know.

      • Hi, Carrie, lol, my comment was actually in reply to Julia. I should have been more clear perhaps.

    • @Carrie I recently went down the rabbit hole of HA and I came away horrified! Definitely not an ingredient I’ll be seeking out anymore.

  8. If I subscribe now will I get the July or August box? Should I wait til August 1st if I don’t want July?

    • You can subscribe today and you will get the August box. July box closed on the 12th so you don’t need to worry about it.

      • Thank you!
