This is my first Allure box and I am very happy with its content. I got the individual ND in 126K Aubade and it is a gorgeous warm medium to dark copper with a metallic finish that is so perfect for my skin tone. The SR cream is so rich, perfect for night time. Cannot wait to finish my current serum to star using the full size I got from Peach & Lily. The butter for lip and cheek is so perfect. I am very impressed with all these products and samples for $15.
Let’s be thankful we’re all still here to receive boxes ppl…geesh, stop your petty bickering over variations…Unsub if you’re that unhappy otherwise let’s ALL be THANKFUL FOR WHAT WE HAVE AND WHAT WE GET!!!!
Nicole, if you get that unhappy reading the comments, then I would recommend not reading the comments. You understand that the very nature of a comments section is to express opinions right? Expressing both positive and negative opinions is a-ok.
YAAASSS! I’m SO sick & annoyed of people telling us we should be “thankful” for products we PAY for! And how we need to shut up & NOT express our own personal opinions/feelings if & when we’re NOT happy!
I always respond to THESE ppl w/saying: “Well, IF YOU’D like to PAY FOR ALL MY BOXES, I can probably refrain from posting how I feel about them then”💁🏻♀️😎😽
Nicole, you are exactly right and you could not have said it better!!! (I don’t even get any sub boxes because I can’t afford it, but I still like to look and see what goodies are in the boxes, and I consider myself lucky the sub boxes are what I’m wishing for instead of praying I or my husband pull thru the nightmare virus people are going thru.) Anyway, sorry for rambling? I just wanted to compliment you because I’ve been waiting for someone to introduce a little reality I guess?
MSA posted both June and July spoilers back on May 12. So we have known what was coming in the July box for a long time now. It seems reasonable that August spoilers should be posted soon.
Me too. Plus, with a mask I find pointless even wearing foundation (full disclosure: I don’t routinely do eye make up, I am awful at it and it takes me hours to not look like I got into a fight lol, but I see how this could be the time to focus on eyes 🙂 )
Is the natasha denona eyeshadow good? Thinking of subbing through amazon since allure can take a while with their shipping but if the free gift is worth it, I’ll do it though allure.
Amazing! In fact this sample I got elsewhere for me hooked on Natasha Denona. Once you try it you will be disappointed in pigments or all other brands. She just released a palette which is about $65… her palettes are usually much bigger but $110/120. These sunset colors are amazing. I’ve had grown older men literally stop a conversation and say how amazing my (blue) eyes are with this shade on….in a non creepy way lol.
It’s fine. If you look at past boxes, you can see the 3 shades Allure sent out previously, & if they’d work for you. I believe there was a gold color, a bronze color, & the red-orangey one pictured in this post.
I think they are great for any type of blemishes that you want to hide. I don’t think it actually does anything other than the fact then preventing you from touching it, hence helps with the healing. It is also extremely comfortable and unnoticeable once it is on your face.
I want this box for the Glass Skin Serum (I got two for half off from Ulta a couple of months ago and used up one bottle already) but I’m gonna wait and see if $5 off or a different free gift pops up. Hopefully it doesn’t sell out!
Just signed up, I’ve always loved Peach Slices and I’m excited to try their higher end line. Also happy that the free gift is Natasha Denona, I’ve never tried the brand but I’m excited to see if her shadows live up to the ~hype.
It’s a single shadow,so YMMV. if you look up past Allure boxes, you can see the 3 shades they sent out — I believe a gold, a bronze, & the red-orange pictured in this post.
I tried a sample of the Peach & Lily serum and I really liked it. I could actually wear it in the AM without it messing with my other products or pilling my sunscreen or primer. I’m looking forward to it!
I subscribed early, like 1am because I was up lol, and was able to get the Tarte mascara before they switched up the gift.
I hate it when my face is pilling. I had to look up what it is called because I’ve never had such a problem with it until this year. Apparently, I was using too much product per layer so now I am being really careful. I find also that the serum is often the culprit. I let it dry really well before I apply my next step.
I got the may box and canceled (just didn’t want the June one) – anyway, I paid via Amazon and still got the free gift since it was my first…hope this helps!
I just subscribed (technically resubbing using a different email after I’ve been away from Allure for a couple of years) on Allure’s site using “Amazon Pay” which means the subscription is technically controlled through Amazon, and it said I would be getting the free gift. Who knows though, I guess we’ll see lol.
Because customer service. A few boxes ago the Lui moisturizer leaked into the box. Went to Amazon CS, replaced with no problem. In the last box, we had the cleaner not moisturizer problem. Went through Amazon CS, it got replaced.
Say what you will about Amazon, all my interactions with their CS have been excellent.
I’ve done both. It’s the skipping and cancelling through Amazon that I like. You can do it through Allure, but it’s not just clicking a button to make it happen. You call or email. I don’t remember which. If the gift is your motivation, sign up through Allure because you don’t get that through Amazon.
Same as Randie above. I will never go directly through Allure as their CS can be bad at times. It’s so easy to do it through Amazon. You can cancel, skip any time, you know exactly when your box comes and what’s in it.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but for me, the advantage of going through Amazon is knowing exactly which variation is going to be sent plus the ease of canceling.
I’m very happy to be receiving the serum and the lip/cheek balm. The cleanser and sheet mask are staples that are always needed and appreciated. I’d love to receive the Sunday Riley cream, instead of the Dr. Jart variants. Overall, it’s a really nice curation of items. Well worth the $15.00 investment.
I had already skipped because purple eyeliner was only thing I wanted so wasn’t worth $15. I only like to use scented skin care and that serum is not scented Hoping the eyeliner shows up in future box I actually want.
I got a purple eyeliner in an Ipsy box and because my skin is so fair it made me look like I had dark circles under my eyes. I had to give it to my niece. So I’m not that sad over missing this. It’s not something everyone can pull off.
Eerrm and everyone,
People are entitled to put thei thoughts and feelings without getting attacked. And some people might not like a .99 cent formula. I have no clue what eyeliner it is, but to be getting a purple in a box beside black to try would be great. I love urban decay and marc Jacobs liners, but always interesting to try more as long as it’s not a pencil
So many folks seem upset about not getting that purple liner. People do realize they can PURCHASE a purple Wet and Wild eyeliner for about .99 cents if they really need it, right? I mean the fact that people are talking about their utter disappointment when we’re getting a FULL SIZE Peach and Lily Glass Serum….WHAT!?!?!?!?!
If you go to the “updated” July Allure spoilers post comments, people just can’t seem to let that purple liner go. When we’re in the middle of a pandemic and still getting an AMAZING box for July.
If you log in to Amazon under your subscriptions, it has a picture of exactly what you are getting. I was hoping for sunscreen, but oh well. Glad it’s not that SR as my skin doesn’t like it.
