We have spoilers for the August 2020 Birchbox!

FYI – Birchbox recently announced an update for customization:

Starting in June, each month we will have two Featured Boxes you can choose from, with more quantities available than we’ve had in previous months:

  • Option 1: We will always have a Clean Beauty Box. All the samples in your box will be free of 13+ ingredients, so you can feel good about what you’re putting on your skin. It’s clear our subscribers want this and we’re making it possible to get a clean box every time if you choose this option.

  • Option 2: A box curated by our Co-founder and CEO Katia. In her curated box, you’ll be able to try products and brands she loves, so you can learn more about and follow her beauty routine.

Check out all the latest Birchbox coupon here!

Here are the sample choice options:

Curated Box #1 – Katia’s Picks:

This month, join our CEO Katia as she switches up her beauty routine with these upgraded everyday products.
  • Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream
  • PETER THOMAS ROTH Water Drench® Hyaluronic Cloud Cream
  • ARROW Weightless Brow Tint
  • Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser
  • JUARA Candlenut Body Creme
  • KNDR Luxury Hand Sanitizer

Curated Box #2 – Clean Routine:

Changing things up doesn’t have to mean big, sweeping changes. Start small by rotating these clean products into your beauty routine.

This month you also have the option to swap your box for:

ARROW Oil Cleansing Spray

Or, Swap for points:

Selection day is on July 26th for Aces, July 27th for everyone else.

If you aren’t familiar with Birchbox sample choice, each month subscribers get to pick one of the samples in their box, pick a completely revealed curated box for that month, or swap it. (Alternatively, you can pick nothing and get a complete surprise.)

What do you think of the spoilers for the August 2020 Birchbox? Are you going to pick a sample or one of the boxes?

Birchbox is $15 a month. Check out our reviews of Birchbox to learn more about this monthly beauty subscription box!

Birchbox ($15 per month) was one of the very first beauty subscription boxes—we’ve been reviewing it since 2012! Each month, subscribers get a new mix of 5 beauty samples, such as makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance items. Birchbox lets you choose whether you’d like a box of items picked just... read more.

Whenever I chose a specific box it’s always out of stock and some months I receive duplicates. Not worth it.

Gwen

This is the first month I let them make the choices other than the one ‘select’ item. I just revealed what they sent and my box rocks!! I got: Arrow Cooling cheek tint (which I’ve been wanting to try – looking to fill the gap Tarte Flush used to fill),Kate Somerville Moisture Warrior, R & CO leave-in conditioner, KNDR Luxury hand sanitizer, This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, and Marcelle BB Cream in Golden Girl. 6 Great products! That pillow spray is my airplane and hotel buddy ❤️. I’ve picked up quite a few Marcelle products in Paris at Monoprix – always happy to see that brand. I wonder if the Arrow product might be full size?

Anita

Does anyone know what shade the ARROW Weightless Brow Tint is in?

Frances

Looks like I’ll be swapping for points again this month.

Liz

I didn’t like any of the options this month. I chose the R&Co leave in conditioner so hopefully they’ll pick some other samples I’ll like!

I’m not an ACE, but was just able to make my sample selection. I went with Katia’s picks this month – my coarse, thick hair LOVES the Oribe Supershine Cream. I’m also intrigued by the Cloud Cream and yogurt cleanser!

Ilyse

I love the yogurt cleanser!

Silver

Yay! Now I’m super excited about the box!

UrbanMonk

Thanks for the tip on it being open now – I just made my selection, too!

Silver

I’m glad it worked for you too! 🙂

Oz

Glad I switched to using a pre-paid card with Birchbox after they renewed my annual without emailing me about it. No FOMO here, but I hope that everyone who gets it enjoys it.

Marion

Hmm this is tempting. I did get the KS Wrinkle Warrior sample as an add-on to Ipsy this month. It might be nice to have 2 samples to use back-to-back to see if it actually affects my skin over time.

Even Katia’s box looks OK this month. 😂

The products in the clean box seem good, but they are mostly very tiny.
