this could have been a good idea with nail salons closed, but $48 for a tiny self manicure kit?! my fiance is an essential worker, so we are both continuously washing our hands and cleaning so much that my hands are so dry and red.. would love a kit with decent sized products from trusted brands for relief for my dry skin.
last kit i purchased from birchbox was the scalp box last year, that was a fantastic value, but i miss being excited about multiple boxes and kits a month like i was two, three, four years ago. i am over tiny samples with an outrageous price point to drive up the value of a kit/box, and i would be willing to spend more for useful, known brands and don’t need so much fluff like so many subscription boxes are doing now.

Does anyone else remember when Birchbox offered kits that were a great value? I miss those days. No way is this kit worth the price to me. I will have scraggly nails through the pandamic.

I got the Zoya UV gel kit for free when I bought their polishes for half price during their earth day promo. $60 for a complete UV gel kit and 12 polishes. It was a much better deal.

The more I look at this, the more I’m so realizing all the things they didn’t include that you would actually need for a manicure or pedicure 🤦♀️

This is way too pricey but I have been wondering why more places haven’t done at-home manicure/pedicure kits. I spent a small fortune (although not $48!) at Target getting everything I needed to give myself a pedicure since I was going through serious withdrawal 😂

LOL $48. I am guessing that this set is not targeted toward me and my $1 polishes and files from Dollar Tree 🙃

No.thanks.lol
Amen, I was thinking the same thing! $48.00?!?!?! lol!!!

Nice that some people think it’s okay to take advantage of the misery that COVID has brought to the world. As if they’d have the nerve to charge this price during business as usual, when people could go to the salon to get manicures.

I think you’re exactly right. This looks like something that would have been in the $20s range to me, prior.

I wonder if they are banking on people not being able to go to salons and thinking this is only the cost of a few manicures? Seems priced especially high. That oil is $26.50 at target though – wow. But I wouldn’t spend that on a tiny oil and would rather chose my own items.

Kind of shocked at the price since they have expanded from their salons to Target stores for a couple years. Their price point is very reasonable, too. This is definitely one that people should check out prices and see if they really need and/or want everything in the box/bag versus buying from Target or another vendor.

Nice concept especially since we can’t go to nail salons now but I’ve tried that brand and didn’t have good results.
