  1. I love my nails. Due to begin quarantined my hands looked horrible. I put this on and I feel like a whole new women. The right hand was a little hard to do, but I took my time and they look pretty good. They are nothing like a fresh manicure from a professional but these will suffice for now and they last. I took several baths, washed dishes, cleaned and they’re still going strong. I wish for more vibrant colors.

  2. I’m so excited for this first spoiler!!! The last couple of months have all been face products and I can’t keep changing up my moisturizers and cleansers as my face is prone to breaking out if I do it too often. One of the things I truly miss from one of my last subscription boxes was nail strips/polish/nail care, so I’m thrilled for June!

  3. I just ordered these for the first time! They haven’t arrived yet but basically I ordered a few different brands since all the nail shops are closed. I also ordered a gel lamp and gel base/top coat on amazon to go with these. Good timing!

    • Nail party at Ava’s house! 🙂

  4. I rarely do my finger nails because absolutely nothing stays on longer than 48 hrs. I have tried products like this for special occasions and I have always been very happy with the results and the fact that they are easily removable. I just wonder what the other spoilers will be and what the variations will be. It’s going to have to be awesome to get me to resubscribe.

  5. Fun! I’ve been wanting to try this type of product for awhile, and since I won’t be able to go to a nail salon for awhile….looking forward to it!

    • Was on the train to go ahead and try these, for the fun of something new. Went to the site and found these. The color looks like a chalky blue-ish grey, instead of a flesh-toned taupe, like this picture. Hopefully, it will look more like this picture. The value is really low, only around $8, so hopefully Allure has some other nice things up their sleeves.

Looks pretty easy to put on and remove. All it takes to remove is cuticle oil and a cuticle stick. Concerned about all of the double cleansing, facial oils, hair oils, and body oils…not to mention cooking and cleaning…so many oils!

Definitely changed my mind about this being in the box. It is fun that they are mixing it up a bit. It is what we need.

  6. I think this is perfect and very much needed product during this time when salons are closed. I am looking forward to receiving thus item.

  7. Those are pretty colors!

    • This is honestly a really different and refreshing spoiler. These are super cute and perfect timing too. I would consider resubscribing

  8. I rarely do my nails and have used products like this before but I am excited to try this because it’s different! I subscribe to many boxes and now as the country starts to open up again, I plan to pair down on subscriptions. Allure is a keeper for me! 👏🏼

  9. Definitely looking for to these!!!

  10. I love nail anything, makes me want to sign up!

  11. I don’t understand the negativity.

This type of item is exactly the kind of out of the box item that is fun to receive in a beauty box. It is probably something most people are either unaware of or wouldn’t try on their own unless a friend recommended it.

I have absolutely NO intention to actually use them because I am lazy and so don’t do much for my nails but I know people who will LOVE to try these because they love fiddling with their nails and so they will have a a new toy to play with.

Maybe a box down the road will have a unique product suited to me. I have gotten some stuff I never would have heard about – let alone tried – without it appearing in my boxes. So much better than getting a sample of yet another black mascara or eyeliner.

  12. I’m so looking forward to these! Yay! Allure, now this is exciting, especially for those of us who need to get our nails back in shape due to the quarantine.

  13. I have not used allure now for 6 months…they have changed…not one good product for me..

  14. I usually go with natural nails. I appreciate Allure mixing up the products and bringing something different!

  15. My daughter will love them

  16. I really like these! They are a little more difficult to apply that something like Color Street or Incoco but still not hard, and they last really well. I have used them several times.

    • I’m obsessed with color street and discovered them while on lockdown, I swear they last longer than a gel mani on me! This is a great idea to include in a box at this time.

  17. I was just looking for this type of nail strips recently. I’ve used them in the past and they’re really great you can even use them on your toes and they do last at least 14 days. I may resubscribe depending on what the other spoilers look like but I think this is a great start during this time when I’m not ready to go back in to the salon.

  18. Definitely looking forward to trying these, and I greatly appreciate getting something off the beaten path in my box. Not this brand, but I have used nail wraps like these before (both the kind you heat to apply and the kind you don’t) and they are awesome. Super easy to apply (although I confess that before I first tried them, I went to YouTube for helpful how-to videos because I’m not inherently talented at these sorts of things) and zero drying time. But the best part IMHO is that they last. Regular polish for me starts chipping in a day (I use my hands a lot) but the wraps will last until it’s time to change them due to nail growth. I hope this particular brand works well!

  19. Interesting 🧐🤔 Never tried these before…

  20. Not thrilled since they are gel … removing gel polish can damage your nails. I have also read some reviews on this brand saying that they are more difficult to apply due to thickness and there are sizing issues. I would much prefer just the nail polish strips (like Color Street).

  21. Current user of these nail strips!! I LOVE THEM. If you like to paint your nails and don’t like the drying times/mess, these are perfect. They last AT least 2 weeks. Mine have been on for 2 weeks (tomorrow) and there’s barely any chipping/damage. I scrub and wash intensely and this has barely affected the appearance of the nail sticker. Also, they come with 34 stickers so you can do your nails at least 3X with some to “practice” with too!

I’m so excited for everyone else to discover this brand!!! Their site has a ton of reviews with pictures so you can take a look at what it looks like IRL.

The only downside is that it looks like there isn’t a variety in the color/pattern of strips that will be in this box. This color is pretty neutral though so I’m super happy to see these in this box!

  22. I’ve tried these strips and they don’t compare to actual nail polish strips. They weren’t as easy to apply as they are thicker and they don’t last as long. I love the nail polish strips because they can be applied quickly and last at least a week, which is far more than I get when I paint my nails. I actually threw away the other package of these Diva strips.

  23. Personally, for simple design like this, I found it much easier to just use a traditional nail polish. Plus I have never found one that actually fit my nails well and taking an extra step trimming them is not worth it for me.

They do work well though. And I do think it is much more practical during quarantine then makeups. I like the thought of including it in the box!!

  24. I do love nail art, mail polish, what have you and do manicures at home regularly, for fun as much as for looks. but i also like my nails very short and functional and i don’t use press on nails for variety of reasons, not the least of which being my hands are very small and most sets I’ve seen sold – do not fit me properly at all. so this is giving me very mixed feelings…

I guess it will depend on the rest of the spoilers on whether I pause this box or not.

  25. Customers: “We’re tired of the same old stuff, give us something different, give us something that’s not in every. single. sub. box.”

Allure: Here’s something different, that’s not in every sub box.

Customers: “But not THAT!! That’s horrible, that’s awful, I’m canceling!”

Allure: Okay, here’s your same old stuff back.

    Customers: “I’m resubscribing”.

You speak with your money, not with your words, people!!

    • Hehe… That perfectly encapsulates the comments. I haven’t worn press-on nails since middle School, but I am willing to give them a try while salons are closed.

    • Exactly!!!

I love this spoiler and so excited to try something new.

  26. This is not an automatic no for me like a highlighter would have been. Looking forward to other spoilers.

  27. I’m surprised by the hostile reactions. I think these look fun to try. I’ve used an MLM brand and they are pretty easy to use. Why not try them, many of us don’t feel comfortable going into a nail salon anytime soon?

  28. Although this particular item isn’t my cup of tea, I absolutely love getting nail items. Other than the occasional polish, nail supplies are a rarity.

  29. Why is this a thing?

  30. Not my cup of tea. Plus, I’m Not sure how these would do with all the hand washing and scrubbing. Anyway, I’ll wait for the other spoilers.

  31. Oh! No, Im not happy about that Type of products, I work on Medical field and the gloves and constan hand washing it doesn’t last on me 🙁

    • You may be surprised, I used color street strips and I’ve been washing dishes, doing laundry, washing my hair and have been really rough on them and haven’t had chipping after a week yet. I’ve heard others say they get 2 weeks out of them.

  32. Wait…what?! Acrylics and talons are so outdated around here, for years. I hope these are easy to file down for nails that have just a sliver of white.

    • It’s basically a like a nail polish sticker over your natural nail so you can still wear them with short nails

  33. The rest of the box better be great because I have zero interest in nail strips.

  34. My teenage daughter and I use these and Color Street nail sheets. We both have had longer lasting time with Dashing Diva but we overall prefer the colors and prints from Color Street. These are a bit more dramatic with the jewels and such.

    • can you trim these down? file them down? or are you stuck with the length they come in? thanks in advance!

      • Yes – these are designed to adapt to your personal length of nail, with excess being removed by nail file typically. These aren’t false nails, but rather overlays that mimic nail polish.

      • Thank you, Sherri! I’m a lot more excited about these now 😀

      • You are not stuck with a length. These are like nail polish stickers. That’s the only way I know to describe them. You stick them on your nail and then file off the excess. I sometimes can even cut them in half and get two applications from each “sticker”. They last way longer than typical nail polish for me.

  35. I personally won’t use these… but I think my mother will absolutely love them. I’m happy to receive and share them. They do look fun!

  36. I am so excited to try these! My shellac acrylics are long gone and all that is left are super thin super short nails this can only help!

  37. Ha! I should get my sister these to try & wean her off the MLM polish strips she uses!

Unfortunately, I don’t think this design is her style.

  38. I normally like everything in the Allure box, but these are a definite miss for me. BUT, I have a friend who will enjoy them.

  39. What?! Noooo

  40. LOL, perfect timing for those who love nails but have no access to a salon. For me, I’d just donate them, my job is too demanding to keep them on.

  41. This spoiler doesn’t blow my skirt up or anything I’m too uncoordinated and besides I’m left handed to do my own nails lol!!

    • With this type of product, you absolutely can do your own nails, I promise! Check out the video on their website. Essentially, you peel the strip of polish off the plastic backing, adhere it to your fingernail, then file the excess off with an emery board. And that’s it!

I personally haven’t tried this brand, but I barely even use an emery board when I use this type of nail wrap — I just pull the on the polish strip using a sharp downward motion, and the edge of my nail does the cutting. (Kind of like the box on a roll of aluminum foil?)

      • Marion, that was a great description! A couple of friends and I love these nail strips because they are so easy to use. And no dry time-yay!

      • OOPS! I should clarify,we love nail strips. Have not tried THIS particular brand.

  42. My nails are non existent so this will go to a family member 😁 I hope it includes another full size product, fingers crossed!

    • As someone with nonexistent nails herself (just moved and my nails are mere nubbins), I empathize but can suggest you try the nude gels before you turn them over to someone else. You might actually like the way they look on your hands.

    • My nails are non-existent AND they’re the type that’s wider than long… Thanks, Dad’s side of the family, NOT. Time to be my husband’s daughter’s hero again with the cosmetics freebies!!!!
