Here at MSA, we are thankful to still be working (from home) and want to support our local restaurants as best we can. Plus, we want to treat ourselves once in a while to a meal we didn't have to prepare ourselves. My office bestie, Megan, and I decided that it'd be fun to order the food we are missing most right now and host a live get-together on the My Subscription Addiction Instagram for some much-needed social interaction.

Ordering delivery from DoorDash has been our go-to for getting meals delivered from our favorite spots. Like, us DoorDash is committed to helping small businesses during this time. One of the ways they're doing that is by allowing independent restaurants to sign up and pay zero commissions for 30 days and existing restaurant partners will pay no commission fees for pickup orders. In addition, they are providing financial assistance to eligible Dashers.

Interested in joining us? Just follow these steps!

  1. Follow us on Instagram if you aren't already and sign up for notifications so won't miss us going live!
  2. Download the DoorDash app from the App Store onto your iPhone or simply go to DoorDash.com to sign up.
  3. Order lunch from your favorite local spot tomorrow afternoon by using DoorDash and get your first order for a $0 delivery fee (new customers only)!
  4. Tune in to our Instagram account tomorrow, Wednesday, April 29th, at 1:30 ET.

Even if you can't order-in right now, grab some avocado toast or a PB+J sandwich and hop over to MSA's Instagram account to watch, comment, and chat with us about our second favorite subject: FOOD!

I miss Native Foods in Chicago. I work downtown normally, and live in the suburbs. I’m working from home and nowhere near their delivery area right now. I need cauliflower dippers!

Wish I could have joined. I attended a webinar by The Crafter’s Box on the topic of how to make face masks. It was great, but longer than expected. Costco run before that had me rushing to figure out how to get everything to fit nicely in the refrigerator afterwards. Yay! Always so much fun!

Which restaurants do I miss? Well, I live uptown bordering downtown, right in the middle of New Orleans, so how much time do you have? The Friday before all airlines were grounded and restaurants and bars closed, I had lunch at Commander’s Palace for three hours and several courses and cocktails, in their beautiful Garden Room. I had no idea that mandatory closures were coming. Saturday was spent at R & O Pizza and Seafood with my family, all happy as clams. It is usually packed, but it wasn’t. While we were happy, I think we all knew it would be the last time we would be doing what we called normal.

oooopsy. Just checking in…eek. I wrote that message at 3 am-ish and have been running around like a whirling dervish ever since. So sad! Please tell me that you all will consider doing it again in a few weeks, maybe once a month?

This sounds fun!!! I’m missing the wineries and going into San Francisco and trying the various yummy cuisine the Bay has to offer. I should be home from an appointment with my boyfriend by that time. I already have door dash I might check if there are any specials or just make my lunch.
Hope the team is well and safe!🌸🙏🏾💖
