I never received my Choice confirmation and I have been seeing that people have so I contacted CS. They sent out a generic answer that stated confirmations would have been sent on April 22 and I continued as I haven’t received mine. They replied saying that they were unable to locate my choice and they were very sorry and hope I have a better experience in the future.

I am continuing to talk to them as I have boxy before the choice and at the lower price and it was never like this. If we are paying for a service, we should get it. Is anyone else having the same issues?

I’ve just checked their website and it seems that they’re giving out “mystery box” if you subscribe. At least that’s what I understood (ha-ha english is not my 1st language so sometimes I make mistakes). I subbed to boxy, at least some fun during these times.

Question pertaining to the April box – Does anyone remember the recent month when Iconic London lip gloss was in base box? I received one then and another in my April Box. I hope to contact them and request a different item.
They promise no duplicates,correct?

I logged in at exactly 12 EST and the Hourglass highlighter was already gone. So I guess they open the choice time early. But seeing that other people logged in two hours earlier than me and even by then the highlighter was already not available..
I’m not really sad about it since I wasn’t planning on choosing it anyway, but its still a bummer to see that some things are not available (in case one changes their mind).

Did you try to make choice on Monday or Tuesday? If Tuesday, then the reason it was grayed out was because the luxe and premium members were able to make their choice on Monday and they had long since grayed out the highlighter by the time Tuesday came around. Which I am gonna guess it was Tuesday for you since at 9:30ish pacific standard time on Monday, it had still been available when I made my choice.
TBH, even though I am a premium subber and can have the early access perk, I do NOT like this new change of boxycharm giving luxe and premium earlier choice for base box. The base box only subbers are losing out on the most popular choice items and if they want to have a chance at it, they have to not choose one and hopes that it still ends up in their box by letting boxycharm choose for them (btw, it is confirmed that people are getting grayed out items in their box that didn’t get to make a choice, so just don’t choose when that happens unless you don’t want to risk getting the lousiest item). It’s really not fair to the majority.

A minor negative comment…as a subscriber i have that right no matter the pandemic. They’re getting my money; I have an opinion.

About choice: this goes for every company that offers choice…if they’re going to advertise certain products as choice items they should dang well have enough procured for everyone to select what they want. I didn’t want the highlighter, but many did. Thats unacceptable. If they don’t have enough, don’t lure subscribers with bait and dump.

They should’ve reserved an equal amount available for each tier for people to choose from (e.g. if they only had 999 highlighters, assign 333 for each tier and let ppl pick normally)

I agree. I was there not long after choice and that’s what I wanted and wasnt able to choose it. Havent been thrilled with luxe, or boxes the past few months. I’ve been worth boxy for 5/6 years, no skipping and every tier but I’m thinking it might be time to scale it back.
I think Boxy has gotten so big and is going on a direction most people dont care for.(I wish they would save the lifestyle items and such for add ons or pop ups).
It was nice when it was all makeup, then they threw in skincare and told everyone that we MIGHT get ONE skincare item a month and the rest makeup and they were not going to change much and BAM a complete 180. There are skincare subs out here , many of them. There are mixed of skincare/haircare and then mixed of everything. The beauty of boxy was it was the only with with all makeup. But I get there are only so much makeup you can send before you have people screaming about too many eyeshadow pallettes, too much eyeliner etc so they branched out. Now it’s kinda turned into a fab fit fun box, which people could just sign up for if that’s what they were looking for.
Just my .02 . I hope everyone is staying healthy, safe and staying sane…..seems like things will hope start getting back to “normal” soon.

Choice opened, and Hourglass was already not an option for base boxes. The add-on shop is already picked over, too. Oh well. Saved myself some money. That being said, if anyone decides they don’t want the Very Cherry cleansing balm, hit me up. I LOVE it, and was sad to see it WAS an option, but apparently not for base box subscribers.

Yes. I was hoping they’d restock the add-ons but they didn’t. Choice is open but you can’t pick the Hourglass highlighter. I thought they’d restock the choices as well but I was wrong.

That’s what I wanted too. The only thing in fact. I thought maybe they’d restock for today (they were gone minutes after early choice yesterday) but nope. I feel a little better after reading your comment though. I hadn’t thought about that. Fingers crossed for us both on the 16th (or whatever day it is.)

Normally I just want make-up, but yah know what? I wouldn’t be mad if they stuck a nice high quality hand cream in there right now. All the hand washing I have been doing due to covid19 had wrecked my poor hands.

Treat your hands like you would your face & layer product! I’m prone to dry hands, & when they get really bad, I use a hydrating serum & then a heavier lotion/handcream before I go to sleep at night.

Did anyone get an email once they made their choice?

I didn’t get any emails last month after making my choice and if my online product card is right (only have that to go off of as my box is still shipping), they aren’t sending my Elemis choice for April. I took several screenshots today when I picked Glamglow and I suggest everyone do the same. I definitely feel like I need some kind of proof for my choice due to my CS experience.

The same thing happened to me. I didn’t get the Elemis product I chose. I sent them screenshots of my choice and of the items I received. They said there was nothing they could do.

I read your comment and realized that I never checked to see if I receive my choice conformation email last month. I unfortunately didn’t receive one. I chose the Zoeva pallete. I have my fingers crossed that I’ll still receive it in my box. I was excited for it until I just realized that I didn’t get conformation. This is the first one I haven’t received.

I bought the Elemis hydration juice as an add-on, so I suppose it wouldn’t be bad to receive it again, or the matching cleanser. Just don’t want the highlighter drops lol.

I too did not receive my April Choice. I chose the Elemis hydration juice and received the foam instead. I emailed them but have not heard back yet. However, I didn’t take a screen shot and don’t have my email confirmation so it sounds like I may be out of luck based on others experience. Sigh…. However, this month I did take a picture of my choice for May (great idea!) so I can show proof if they get it wrong again.

I chose the palette but was sent the cleanser. All they said when they emailed me back was that there will be more customization options in the future. I even included screenshots of confirmations. Didn’t get offered a replacement product, charms, nothing.

The same thing happened to me. I was very disappointed because I chose the Elemis Hydration Juice and I’m getting the palette. I even ordered the cleanser as an add-on to go with. I don’t know why they ask what you want and send something completely different. I never got a confirmation email for my April choice.

The exact same thing happened to me. Boxycharm stated they did not have a choice selected for me but I know they were lying. I had early access and I selected the Elemis toner. I pallet they sent instead is beautiful but I have over 50.

I ALWAYS take screenshots of EVERYTHING having to do with BC or their customer service. Right down to their CS reps comments on Instagram. Their customer service is the worst, and they’ll try to avoid doing ‘the right thing’ if they can.

I had pop up orders not ship after being charged three times and I had to fight them on it (with said screenshots) every time.

I’m not trying to come across as too paranoid here, but everyone should REALLY be taking screenshots of EVERYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH BOXYCHARM!

It really saddens to me see that this is happening to so many people. I solely kept my base box for the Elemis that I chose for April and since that was the first month I didn’t get an email confirmation, I thought it was just a sole issue.
I appreciate all the comments to my question and it makes me reiterate to definitely take a screenshot when you make your choice.
Only last thing is I suggest to not follow the link from the link here or from the boxy email. I suggest logging into your account and then making your choice. I did all three different things yesterday (hence why I said I took multiple screenshots) but I feel our best bet is to log into Boxycharm and then make your choice.
Thank you for calling me smart Debra! Lol i was an engineer at Toyota and now disabled so I miss being called smart lol (I know that sounds silly but it’s only of my fave compliments and it made my day 🙂

You are very smart! I chose the Elemis face wash for April and didn’t receive it. I emailed them and they asked me for the confirmation email, which of course I deleted when I received my shipping notice. Customer service told me I never chose anything and I had no proof, so they said they could do nothing for me. In the four years I have been a subscriber, I never had an issue with them until this month. I had subscribed to the base box, luxe and premium. I ended up canceling all three. The value isn’t there anymore and there seems to be a lot of bait and switch. I will save the money and get something I really want or even donate to charity. A food bank could use a donation now!

I canceled all 3 of my subscriptions for April.. They have absolutely no customer service at all.. They never made things right and didn’t care about me canceling. I was a subscriber since near the beginning.. They could have fixed my issue, but took several days to even read my email. Then they said there wasn’t anything they could do.. In the past, when I had the same issue, they fixed it immediately.. They must have had a change of customer service people or something.. I figure that is fine.. I’ll stick with my FabFitFun box. Boxycharm was one of my favorites but they have gotten very questionable on their products and lack of help with issues that are their fault.

I tried to choose the highlighter 2 hours ago & when I clicked it, it grayed out. They said that choice is sold out. Do they hold any back for all access tomorrow? I’ve heard that about Add ins, so wondering if they do for choice. Also, will it open around the same time?

I think it will open around the same time. If the highlighter is what you wanted most, just pick the let them choose for you option and you still might end up with it. But only do that if you don’t care about which you get between glamglow and elemis. But, there is a chance they will throw it into your box even if it is grayed out for choice. People in april box were getting grayed out choice items when they didn’t make a choice. Just pray to your luck gods to be on your side!

Are you sure about this? May I ask if you have had this answered from Boxy? I checked my acc early this morning and the Hourglass was grayed out already. I’ve never seen a choice sold out that fast especially if it actually had several colors to choose from.
I will cancel if I can get the Hourglass product.

One thing you could have done (for future reference) is do the let them pick for you option if the choice you wanted is grayed out. Some people in April were getting items that were grayed out in the choice, despite not making a choice. So there is a small chance you could still get the highlighter. Also could leave it up to fate and change your choice to it right now if you wanted to.

I picked the Elemis pads, but I may cancel. I liked all the choice items last month, but hated the rest of the box I got. I don’t want to end up paying $25 for Elemis pads & end up with a bunch of other junk I can’t offload on anyone. 😂

I love glamglow, so even though I have plenty of masks, I picked it. My April box was awful too. I got the sponges, the brushes, and the eraser and a color story I didn’t like for the palette I received. I’m still hoping them do better in May then this month has been. Hopefully there is more make-up this go. I would have picked a lippie, but the colors on me would look like concealer lips xD

I just resubscribed to this box for April and I haven’t had it in well over a year, I recall being able to see what’s in your box before it actually gets to your house, did the get rid of this feature orrrrr am I crazy?
