Customization for the Qingdao JourneeBox is now open for annual subscribers! Plus, the add-on sale is now live for annual subscribers! (Thanks for the heads up, Chantel!)

Here are the items annual subscribers can customize:

Hoop Earring Set in Silver or Gold

The final JourneeBox spoiler is our exclusive hoop earring set. We are sharing our love of casual glam with this exclusive set of three earrings which retail for $48.  Members can choose between sterling silver or 18K gold plate.

The brown ceramic vase measures 5 ¾” tall with a lid measuring 1⁄4” thick. Its base measures just under 2 1/2” wide, but widens to 4” wide on top. The ceramic vase features a sustainably-sourced airtight natural bamboo lid and traditional Chinese patterns on its ceramic body. Its lid features a rubber ring designed for practically air-tight storage.

Upgrade your space.

This beautiful multi-use ceramic jar measures just under 5” tall and just over 3” wide at its base. The top of the marble jar measures just over 2 1/2” wide, making it the perfect size for a countertop, mantle or desk. It features a white marble pattern with a gold accent rim.

  1. I am far from impressed. I have been with them from the start and every box keeps getting better. There is NO box that can compare. My husband who has traveled the world said after seeing a spoiler “we don’t need another jar or vase” loves my choice. It is going on his office desk. I adore the note cards . The wrap is so much prettier in person. It’s woven texture is perfect for spring & summer. I love the smell & packaging of the scrub. The necklaces and earrings are such fine quality and would be a great gift too (not mine though they’re keepers). It is so hard to pick a favorite item. I hope you enjoy your choices as much as I love mine. I cannot wait to see where we go next.

  2. In the Qindao booklet we got with the box, it doesn’t show the note cards with advertising on the front. Very disappointing!

    • Hi Sonja,

      Apologies for the confusion, but the note card do not have advertising on the front. The back of the card has my logo and website, which is the format for nearly all commercial cards on the market. I assume the confusion is because unlike most cards, we added printing to the back side. Normally the backside is blank and for an added design appeal we added printing to the back. Hopefully this clears things up!

  3. I got my box yesterday. While everything is beautiful, I did NOT appreciate the Kevia advertising on the front of the note cards. This is tacky, and I really don’t want to give someone a note card with advertising on the front of the card.

  4. I received the Jaipur and Qindao JourneeBoxes today. Each box left me breathless with goosebumps and audible gasps. The box itself is so beautiful. Each item was wrapped to perfection and the curation impeccable. Each item is a one-of-kind and so, so gorgeous. I have never received such good customer service (Hanna, thank you so much! This is absolutely the best subscription box I have ever received. I have NEVER received a box that I had a need/want to keep everything for myself. Not one item will I give away or swap. I love Kevia’s styling and curation. You should check out her Instagram account. Just stunning.

    Ugh but I’m trying to be good. I recently went a little subscription crazy.

    • As an annual sub with the majors (RZ, FFF,Causebox, PSMH) And spending way too much so will drop 2, I Strongly urge you to try this box! Outstanding quality (blows away almost all other jewelry), fine CS, great curation, just think this is above and beyond the rest, currently. And no, I don’t know anyone who works there and no affiliation whatsoever, just stumbled across it on MSA. Worth it!

      • Well I just ended up going for it lol. Ugh I already have FFF (annual), Causebox (annual), Ellie (three months), Ipsy, and GlobeIn (three months).

        Plan on cancelling GlobeIn at least. Might skip next months Ipsy in honor of this. Too much but I couldn’t resist… it looks so nice.

  9. I love how they up-level every month! Customization still had its kinks but the new setup looks like it’s going to be sooooo good when they sort it out. And having add-ons PLUS discounts was just…guys, I’m obsessed with this box.

  10. I’ve gotten 3 emails to customize and have a confirmation email from the first email!

    • Me, too! Hopefully it’s just a meaningless glitch in the new platform. I’m a new annual subscriber so I responded to the third email I received to find out if I’m all set. Just waiting to hear back from someone. They have been excellent with their follow-up communication so far.

      • I received an email to customize, but I never received a confirmation email. This happened to me last box too. I don’t understand why I receive some emails and not others.

        I agree that this box is amazing though. The last box was my first and I loved everything in it. Customer service is quick and very helpful. I just wish their website was updated more frequently and that I received all of the emails. I would prefer to know in advance when spoilers will be released and customization will be.

        Please email us so we can confirm that your order was completed, [email protected]. Our confirmation emails are sent automatically via Shopify, so if you don’t have confirmation there is good chance your order was not completed. We can also add you to our manual email list, some customers are unable to receive our emails via Mailchimp. Once we have your email we can do some research and get communication or your report corrected.

  11. Received my customization email early this morning. Had no trouble checking out, it was just difficult trying to decide lol! 😂 For those Annuals who don’t see an email, be sure to check your spam. Sometimes my Gmail puts their emails there.

        Yes we are confirming, all members customize, annual members get an extra item each box.

    • From reading the website it looks like all members get to customize, you just get one less item (this case the earrings). But I’ve never subscribed so I’m not positive

    • Yes! I just customized… the blue scarf, brown jar and silver necklaces. And I am so proud that I did not cave and add anything else!

  18. Hmmm… I didn’t get the customization email. Anyone else missing theirs?

    • I did not receive it nor can I customize on the website. I am an annual but this will be my first box.

      • Same – annual subscriber, first box. Hopefully ours are coming soon. It makes me feel a bit better to know I’m not the only one waiting. I did email customer service to ask about it but I’m not sure if/when they might reply.

      • Update – I somehow wasn’t signed up on their email list (probably unsubscribed) and once I corrected that I got my email a few hours later.

  20. I went to purchase this and it said the code has expired. How did the code already expire when you just put this review up?

    • This isn’t a review, it’s an announcement to customize. And the code was put up two weeks ago, so it’s likely they have a different code now.

      • Thank you for the information. Still, why put a useless code up? Once they put a working code up, I will subscribe.

      • I’m sure that as far as MSA knew, the code was still working. They can only give us the information that they have. Instead of getting upset over it, you could just politely let Liz know that the code is expired, and see if she can reach out for a new one. 🙂

      • I beg your pardon? Who said I was upset? Keep your snark for someone else. I am cool as a cucumber over here. I just wondered why they would not give MSA the most current info on their discounts for boxes. I am currently checking on and off to see when they update so I can subscribe. Also to see if they have the customization issues ironed out, now that I see some annuals having problems with that. I love MSA and I appreciate their reviews, their giveaways, etc.
