Mineral Lipstick in Envy – 5/5, love lipsticks, and love this shade. Way better than the “click your heels” BRIGHT RED from last month!

4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 in Light – 5/5, my choice item. I haven’t used a powder foundation in years so I’m hoping this helps cut down on my makeup routine in the morning!

F.A.R.A.H BRUSHES
160F Face Brush – 5/5 This is supposed to be a blush/bronzer brush, but it also looks like the perfect size to use for a sample-sized powder foundation! Love that it matches the bag, too. Best of all, LOVE that it’s not an eye makeup brush!

Lash Next Door Mascara in Blackout – 0/5 Don’t want mascara, have it set to rarely, and the reviews for this are not good.

Seed to Skin Scrub Natural Grain Polish – 5/5, The sample size is generous, I think it’s going to smell amazing, and I love me some skincare! I just can’t figure out if it’s a face polish (per the Why You’ll Love It) or a body polish (per the How To Use It).

Add-Ons: Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Cleanser, Purlisse 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk, Go To Face Hero Oil, and the Compact Mirror Charm.

I opened the app this morning and it asked me if I wanted a free gift/extra item in my February bag (as if they needed to ask lol).

I can’t believe I shelled out the $50 for the Ultimate bag and not only didn’t get to choose an item this month but didn’t get the straightener or the curling wand. I’ve never been so disappointed in a bag before. Also why are people getting the same ultimate bag items in regular ipsy bags? I could’ve paid 12 bucks for the same things in my Ultimate bag. Ipsy you are starting to slack.

My bag is… okay, considering that I didn’t like the spoilers, & I’m not super excited by any of the products from the full reveal.

I’m not going to email customer service to complain about receiving a blush, since it looks like I may be able to use this as more of a highlight. I’m not thrilled about the Beauty for Real or Morphe brands, but those are the best shades for me out of what’s available, so I’ll be able to give them a fair try. I won’t use the cleanser at all, but I think my sis might like it.

Not a bad bag, but not exciting.
Challenging myself not to do add ons for a few months.

I’m confused, I picked the Blueberry Cleanser, and I’ve seen lots of bags with the cleanser and much better items for me paired up. I figured choosing would limit the bag possibilities available to match me, but it doesn’t seem like they used my profile to do so. I’m getting a liquid liner (which I always say I don’t use) in black, which is the only color I have set to rarely.

I also haven’t seen anyone get the sheet mask set and I was bummed it wasn’t available as an add on.

And I’m seeing people got BOGO or buy 2, get one free add ons. I thought the point of opening choice to everyone was to have a nice inclusive feature, and now Ipsy is giving special deals on add ons to only certain accounts? I don’t like the inequality…sigh.

I received a Medium colored foundation, I’m as fair and pasty as they come, it’s December, i live in Vermont, and my face hasn’t seen the sun since summer. I wrote to them voicing my concern after my reveal hoping they could chance it. The wouldn’t. They’re response. Just try it, that’s why it’s a “Sample”.. unreal. Listen lady I’m Casper over here, I’ll just toss it. Thanks.

I’m super excited for my products this month, I will be getting:

JJ cool mask (my pick) i love masks and could get one every month and be happy

Mischo #NYFW nail polish I love nail polish and the bottle is so pretty

Glow Recipe cleanser I love skincare so this is great

Brooklyn and Bailey mascara also an item I’m always excited to try a new brand of

Finding Ferdinand lipstick berry, this is the only thing I’m meh about and only because I received a lipstick in a similar shade last month

Overall this is the best month I’ve had in a while and im excited.

Ok, please don’t take this wrong, but sometimes I wonder what the purpose of listing what we are getting is since what someone else gets has no bearing on anyone else’s life. However, I will join in this month:
1. JJ Young Pore Glow Mask – I’ve never heard of it, but reading about it makes me excited to try it as it sounds like it will address the very skin issues that I am currently experiencing. Too bad my bag won’t be here for 3 weeks because I’m excited NOW! Lol!
2. MISCHO beauty nail polish in #NYFW This is not my typical choice for nail polish (I’m all about duochromes, flakies, etc,) but OMG that bottle! I will be keeping it for the bottle if nothing else. I’m sort of a polish collector.
3. Blueberry Bounce stuff that everyone is raving about. This was my sample choice. I hope it works well. I tried the “Yes to Blueberries” face wipes once and was allergic – the only face wipes I’ve ever had a problem with – so I hope it was just that product and not blueberry in general. :O
4. Brooklyn and Bailey mascara – up for swap – I must be the only woman on the planet who quit wearing mascara
5. Finding Ferdinand lipstick in Very Berry – I have similar shades, but I’m still happy to try this. At least it matches my profile of stuff I want to get from Ipsy. So for me this is 4 out of 5 hits and only one miss. yay! Plus I like the look of the bag.

Geez. I was more excited until I started typing this and really thinking about each item. Oh well. I do think the bag itself is cute.

Ahava hand cream – I use hand creams often, so while this isn’t exciting, it will get used.

Pur pressed make up in Light – I have foundation set to “often,” but I don’t use powder foundations (I’m 44 with normal/dry) skin, so this a dud.

Ciate blush in matchmaker – Shrug. The color seems pretty, but very sparkly. We’ll see.

Cela scrub – At first, I thought this was a face scrub, and was happy. Turns out it’s for body 😑

Jules Smith gloss – Nope, I don’t use clear lipgloss.

I added the Context liquid lipstick for $3. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this brand, and it’s a full size item that retails for $24.

I still haven’t received my December bag😩

Very underwhelmed. After pausing for two months, I thought there would be at least one or two things to feel excited about. Nothing I’m getting is interesting in any way, and two are on my “rarely” list. Boring and bland, and I wish I had paused again.

I’m ok with this month! Threw in $18 worth of add-ons to get things I really want which is a lot better than buying the Ipsy Plus and getting disappointed.

you know I’ve never had a problem with ipsy until last month when I bought the add-on sunday riley vitamin c cream…paid 13.00 for this well, it never came in my bag, so I emailed them…they sent me eye cream instead..with no reason..sent them another email, saying I did not order this..they never said anything to this day..so I cancelled before the end of December…they keep sending me emails saying come back…but to me this was very rude..so I’ll just keep moving on to others…

I’m happy with my Classic bag. This month, I’m receiving: FARAH Face Brush, Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Cleanser, Beauty For Real balm (in Hannah), Brooklyn & Bailey mascara and Theorie detox scrub. It’s a nice mix of tools, skincare and makeup.

I’m ok with my Glambag in general. I would say, product wise, it’s a 3.5/5 match. I say 3.5 because of the Ciate blush/highlighter. Blush, yes. Highlighter, no. The shade I’m getting is Date Night, it’s definitely not a shade for my skin tone. I’m getting a F.A.R.A.H. face brush! Thankful it’s not another eyeshadow brush. This brush matches the Glambag! I’m happy with the skincare I’m getting, a mask & a cleanser. Last item is a tinted lip balm. I added the H2O & the AHAVA handcream.

This is probably the least exciting month for me so far. Compared to the choices available, my bag is boring (although still 100 percent fitting my profile). I will use everything though so I don’t feel like I can really complain.
