I re subbed the Ultimate this month even though I wasn’t thrilled with the one I had received in the past. I thought to give it a go and try again, only to be disappointed again.

However, I purchased 2 mystery bags and was totally happy with the actual good stuff I received in those…. Full sized Glamglow Tropical cleanser, full sized Ciate setting powder, Wanderess Seascape eyeshadow pallet, Benefit High Beam complexion highlighter, Goldfaden Vital Boost moisturizer and other shadows, blush, highlighters, lipsticks etc. 15 items and 2 bags for LESS than the Ultimate. And it’s actually stuff I can use.

Maybe I should just stick to mystery bags…lol

Box twins! I keep getting the sleep spray in boxes, but I’m allergic to lavender. Fortunately it swaps well. I’ve wanted this palette forever, but never purchased it. I’m pretty excited. There are several nice looking items I’ve never tried.

wow, this is a terrible bag. I have thought the GPU was pretty decent up until now. no way will I spend $50 on this!!

Today I Checked DHL about my Dec GBP and add_ons, and the shipping label doesn’t exist in the system, I can still track my Nov bag, so I am pretty sure they never sent the bag in the 1st place, after emailed they told me they will send me a “replacement” without the items in the original box, but I still haven’t received a tracking #, and I emailed again, they said they are super backlogged, it’s not a legit excuse! Because it took 3 days for me to get my January flash sale box! From the same location! I know they are capable of on time delivery! So upset!

I have a question what is considered the 4 deluxe samples? The brush, nail polish , mask sets?

I knew I should have skipped this month when the only exciting products I was left to pick on choice day was serums from target & the $20 tarte eyeliner I picked. Just disappointed most of the more pricy items are things that are on sale all over. One month I got the Ahava hand cream & it absolutely set off my allergies going to assume this lotion will do the same. I’m not into facial masks so I usually give those away not sure if I should try the copper peel off mask my skin is just so very sensitive anything can set it off. Wish I had gotten the balm palette u received I hate the other. I feel like Ipsy must not take into account any of my reviews or the answers to the beauty quiz. I will wait for next months choice b4 possibly canceling my ultimate. It’s easier to get the cheap bag and get the few add on’s I do like.

So glad I canceled Ultimate after the launch box. I check out the product reveals to see if it gets better – so far it hasn’t. This is soooo not worth 50 bucks !!!!

There is a fair amount of interesting stuff this time around, but there’s also some land mines, too. Ultimately (ha!) I canceled my Ultimate bag because I was worried about getting leftovers, & it looks like I made a good choice!

I’d love to swap for the Sweet Chef serums and/or the Alternative Rock Vol 1 palette!

I googled the serums to look at pricing to see if the add-on price would be worth it to me (I decided not) & I saw that a little 3-pack sampler of SC serums is on clearance for $5 at Target!

–TheBalm What’s the Tea Pallette (my choice, though I regret not getting one of the hair tools, since I would have gotten one of the palettes)

–Tarteist Lip Paint in Front Row (this could be could, I’ve learned the pics on ipsy can be deceiving, so keeping an open mind)

–This Works pillow spray (okay)

–Pretty Woman Nail Polish in Don’t be Jelly (it’s fine, will use)

–Thann Eden Breeze Body Butter (okay)

–FARAH Brush in 160F Face Brush (very pretty, will use, got the same type of brush last month)

–Sweet Chef Beet + Vitamin A Shot (good for my skin type, happy to try)

–Essenherb Tea Tree Toner Pad (good for my skin type, will try)

–Ahava Essential Day Moisturizer (meh)

–Hey Honey Peel off Mask (okay)

–Avette Mask Duo (not happy about this being in Ultimate)

–Sugar Black Eyeliner (meh)

I’m glad I didn’t get a highlighter for once, though I would have liked either the 111 Skin, Juice Beauty OR either of the hair tools. Even one of those items would have made it worth it for me. I won’t do Ultimate again unless they really step it up. So much better to do add ons and get what I want as I have been doing.

I am getting the GBP & I cancelled the ultimate after the 1st one. I’m just extremely disappointed with both! Last month I got a lip balm. This month 2 of my products are lip balms! And I’m only getting 4 plus the bag! I’m not a complainer type of person at all. I feel like a hypocrite right now because I never complain about these kinda things. But Boxy always knocks it out of the park. Honestly, I only keep Ipsy for the add ons. But yesterday I spent almost $50 in addons plus a $25 crap bag! The only thing that is nice is the juice beauty (I picked) but I’m so disappointed by everything else. It’s like that’s a useful product & everything else is a cheap filler product. I get some fillers & don’t mind them. But literally everything else is an extremely cheap filler! 2 more lip balms, a face mask, juice beauty, and a bag! That’s my entire bag! I added the 111 for $18, Huda pallet $12, Dr Gold(?) scrub $12, and I ended up paying for anything I would’ve actually wanted. A pallet incl would’ve been nice & doable in this box! Anywho I think I’m just going to stick w/my 3 Boxy’s since they added the premium & be done w/Ipsy 😢 I do look forward to my box but I’m gonna have to divorce them for awhile 😢

Have not tried the color of the tastiest lip paint, but have tried the product in a different color. I like the formula and it feels good on my lips, but it isn’t exactly smudge proof, and you may have to make a few touch ups.

Thankfully I am quite happy with my Ultimate bag other than sending me highlighter meant for darker skin tones n I’m pale assa ghost.
Love this months Ultimate bag. Chose the flat iron. Im getting a balm palette, the Ahava moisture cream, Hey Honey whose line I really enjoy. The This Works sleep spray, the gorgeous face brush, Marc Anthony leave in conditioner, face masks which I like, the kale + vitamin B serum and I’m Even happy about the Tarte eyeliner.
Add-ons were the Huda Emerald palette, the fan brush, 2 full sized concealer and that cute snowflake keychain. Im very satisfied

I signed up just for the curling wand. So glad I ended up with the meet matte pallete, the Ahava Moisturizer, and the tarte eyeliner. Over all I’m happy with my first ultimate

Your bag is actually pretty great. I am wearing that nail polish right now and it’s really nice. Hard to come to terms with spending 50 dollars for it though, when I know I wouldnt get exactly what I want

I got this box except I got a different The Balm eyeshadow palette (I got iced tea instead of alternative rock, which I think I might have preferred) and instead of the mascara I got the body butter. It takes me forever to use body lotion, but mascara should be replaced every 6-8 weeks, so I like getting mascara often.

I’ve tried multiple peel off masks and I don’t think they do a framed thing except tug at fine facial hairs, so that’s a dud. I also think that sheet masks feel disgusting, and that tea tree oil is a bad choice in skincare. I’m hoping that the Ahava moisturizer doesn’t reek like 1988 perfume like their hand cream does. (The have cream works nice, just the smell puts me back in grade school.)

I like the pillow spray a lot. I’ve had a sample. The bag is also cute. I’m hoping that the balm highlighter is better than the one that Ciaté had in some box a few months ago. That one was like rubbing a giant lip balm on your cheeks. It never dried and the shine was oil. It also disturbed foundation.

It sounds like I’m not happy with the bag. I am. I feel I got my money’s worth and that not too much will be going into an immediate donate pile the way another one of those tiny hair tools would have. I’m looking forward to trying new things even if I seem indifferent right now.

I didn’t sign up for Ultimate until this month because I liked the spoilers, especially the hair tools. I chose the tea palette I didn’t want the other palette choices and I stupidly thought my chances for one of the hair tools was high, given the limited number of products for Ultimate. Of course I didn’t get one and they weren’t in add ons either. Wonk wonk. My bag is so not worth it. Oh well, easy cancel. Won’t do that again.

Do you ever watch the ipsy deals? I think last month they had that tea palette for like $15 and free shipping. It does look gorgeous! Sorry you got stuck with a crumby box though

I signed up for a hair tool too! I was like wow! They actualy have “ultimate” items this month! Did NOT get one… not too excited about the Tarte neutral shade lip I got.. I would have lived either of the other two.. And the palette is the one I least wanted. It’s not horrible but I would not pay $50 for it! Like how can one person get a freaking curling iron and I get a nail polish in its place! Not cool Ipsy!!

Sure you find the same products you get in boxes online, but getting them in a box that is a great deal is the point. Sub boxes are fun, convenient and are a terrific value if you can use most of what you get. The disappointment of not getting a spoiler you really like and hope for is real and valid.

I was only really excited about the flesh highlighter but they put the dark bronze shade in my box despite me being incredibly fair. It will be completely useless to me. Would this even be worth emailing about?

Definitely email them! They sent me the correct shade when I had this issue in the past.

They have very limited variants for Ultimate. You probably would have to have gotten a completely different variant to get a different Flesh stick.

Im really surprised I ended up with ine of the darker colors too when only “Startle” or “pinky” will work with my light skin tone as well

I’m so happy I stayed with the Glam bag Plus. I wanted this ultimate bag as it’s just my style and was thinking about upgrading but I am happy I didn’t.

I got much better products in the Plus bag and added the 111skin, ultimate bag, morphe concealer and Farrah brush. Finally spent more (65$) but worth much more for me as well. Like the Juicebeauty, Purlisse serum, Knours cream.

I feel the Ultimate bag is a waste of money. They contain many items what we can get for 3$ each as add-ons.

I’m so glad I went with my gut instinct and skipped Ultimate this month. Nothing really appeals to me. The only thing I was excited about was the bag and it was offered as an add on!

what do you have to pay to not get a black eye liner from ipsy?

fifty dollars is steep for this, imo. this is one fourth away from purchasing a luxury advent calendar at release, at sale this could be a third of one.

Contact customer care and ask them to opt you out of eyeliner. That’s how I avoid it.😉

I’m opted out of bronzers and highlighters, but have gotten both a couple times over the last few months. Keep in mind opting out isn’t a guarantee.

I am getting almost the same bag except, I am getting the Ice tea palette and not the highlighter (I got the body butter). My main gripe is the nail polish. This is the fourth time I am getting the same color – I already own the Sundays, Smith and Cult, Color Club and now this brand. It seems the only color I get the dark raspberry/mahogany/purple (no idea what you call this color) which I loved until that was all I ever get. Where are the teals, the hot pinks, or pastels!?

same, i keep getting the same light pink colors. I think they ran out of berry colored polish to send me finally, and now they’re running through this shade. Even though I keep rating it low!
