I had been waiting since Jan. for the hot tool & that was the 2nd request. After a few months I called them to see where it was & they said they lost my request or something, BUT they reapplied for it for me. So, here it is the end of May & I call AGAIN. Now they tell me the offer has expired awhile ago. Guess what? I just saw it advertised on the website telling new applicants that they can get one. WHAT A SCAM! I did get another email from them saying they were sending me Crème De La Mer & La Mer Concentrate items for the inconvenience, but I will have to wait up to 6 wks. Not holding my breath.

I received the coupon code. I set up an account on the HotTools site. Put the coupon in and it make the balance $0.00 but then when I selected process order the system tells me I Must Select a Region on my address. When I set up address I selected the arrow and there was nothing to select and I even had to type in my state. I call about this after finally tracking down who to call and they say “Oh yeah you have to use Google Chrome.” So I went through Google Chrome. Nothing, the same issue. I feel like this is false advertising and a fake offer. Has anyone else had this issue??? If so what did you do about it?

I got my december box and i didn’t get the coupon for the hot tools, what’s more disappointing is that I got the January box not December. I called CS and they said they ran out of stock. And now if you would check their site, they’re still offering the hot tools, but this time it is for annual subscription. What a scam

Was there any small print in the offer on the website than showed they do not ship to Alaska? There usually is in my experience. If not, you can definitely request a refund. I mean you can anyway lol Just always maybe sure to read everything in a promo ad from the company. MSA may forget to include that info but the sponsor tends to have it all there in writing.

Seems like there were two boxes that went out. One that was as advertised and one that was more like the Amazon box that had substitutions for the Ouai and FAB primer and no makeup eraser. I got this box. I emailed and they said they would send replacements but there is no tracking for replacement orders.

I did get the make up eraser but don’t fret if you didn’t, it’s not special it’s a glorified washcloth. I had gotten one a few years ago, a full size and I never use it.

Just received my Hot Tools styler today and have already used it! I love it! The code came in the Allure box and I ordered it right away because I was worried it would sell out. I got my Allure box on Monday and the styler came today (Friday). So happy that I jumped on that deal! Unfortunately the Allure box itself was a total miss for me (ugh that ugly lipstick!) but the styler more than makes up for it.

Well those people are really lucky because my package was just delivered today (checked the tracking number and everything) and I went to the front office to get it and they said they don’t have it! I even called the apt complex next door to make sure they didn’t have it. Nope. Been having such a horrible experience (with USPS, not Allure).

I got the exact same thing! I also got the lipstick in Trust Issue and I was sure it would be a different red color because everyone else got that for December. I hate this color. 🙁 I already canceled to but will complain.

I’d hoped for the red, as well, but got Trust Issue, too. Boooo. Oh, well. I am glad I cancelled early. Ten bucks is not much of a risk, i can easily make a profit off what i do not want, and i learned my lesson about dealing with Allure- you don’t give what your promotion says you will and you lose me as a customer forever. I do not let companies burn me twice.

Having subscribed for YEARS, I cancelled several months ago. I subscribed while the “pop up” showed up. I wrote to Customer Service asking if I would receive it, and basically, if there were still vouchers available.

The response was my box would ship in approximately 20 days (which would be JANUARY), and that the vouchers were in December boxes, that I would receive the voucher in my December Box.

Needless to say, this was as confusing as heck. I’ll probably wind up without the styling tool and Makeup Eraser, a January Box, and wind up charged for February before I can cancel. Does anyone else have any newer information? My response was an hour or so old, this morning.

HUGE DISCLAMER! The fine print says *while supplies last. AKA, they can only have 10 of these in stock and once you sign up you don’t get the free item. Allure is infamous for running promotions like this as a tactic to have people sign up. I see “my subscription addition” posts all of their promotions like its a good deal when in fact people are getting screwed.

That is not true. Allure does not operate as a superior company by bait and switch tactics. It is people who mess things up by hoarding product and using many different forms of subbing. Allure does everything possible to fulfill their promos. They wouldn’t be who they are and where they are by using sneaky tactics Other unsavory companies use.

As someone who has subscribed to Allure box on and off since before it was even called Allure box, I completely disagree with your statement that Allure does everything they can to fulfill their promos. I have never tried to get multiple boxes from them either, but I was one of the people who never got their Sunday Riley and was one of the first people to sign up for the promo when it was released. I contacted customer service who said “sorry, you were too late,” even though my friends who I told about it and signed up after me got theirs. I told customer service as much and they said they’d send me a replacement item which ended up being 2 tiny samples of unrelated products. I spent a lot of time and hassle trying to get that Sunday Riley and they never came through, so while you may have had no problem getting your bonus, don’t dismiss those of us who did not nor accuse us of unsavory behavior. Allure puts out a good box but the way they operate is a mess.

This is actually very true. They’ve run several sign up bonuses this past year that many people have never received (Sunday riley CEO moisturizer is the first thing that comes to my mind). They are actually pretty well known for doing this. It’s actually why I’m hesitant to ever sign up for them specifically for a sign up bonus- because there’s no guarantee that you’ll actually ever get it.

So, I tried to order the annual sub the other day and was planning to cancel my original one I had not cancelled the original one yet and give the duplicate December box to my niece, but I used a different name and email. I received confirmation of the order, but I tried to log in and it acted like I didnt have an account.

For those who saw reversals on their credit cards, did you receive an email indicating the order was not processed?

Same here. I contacted customer service right after placing my order and confirmed I will be getting the gifts. However, later I tried to log in to my account using my email and zip code, and it never went through. Didn’t bother to contact customer service again, but think this is really weird.

I just cancelled my Allure subscription last month but still got an email tonight advertising the free brush promotion. Now grant it, I do get ALL Allure emails so I don’t think this was directed at me personally or it would’ve mentioned “coming back” somewhere but it didn’t. So it was just a generic one sent to everyone. To answer your question as of an hour ago I believe it was still available based on the email promoting it still being sent out.

However… I decided to resubscribe for the free gift even though I really wanted to stay cancelled and don’t much like the December spoilers. It doesn’t say it’s only for first time subscribers (not that I saw anyway), it just said only one box/subscription per customer. Unfortunately although I signed back up immediately (and not through my old log in, I acted like a new customer) I didn’t see confirmation of the free gift anywhere. Not the words, not the pic, no mention of it on any screen at any point. I’m hoping the fact that I signed up within minutes of getting the email will help me fight them if I don’t get the free gift promo code.

I tried getting two Allure boxes sent to me before and they kept cancelling the second one as you are only allowed one per physical address not email so even if you use a different email like I did, it won’t work. The only way to get around this is to purchase a gift subscription to yourself under your own account. You have to call them to set up the gift subscription that way you can get two boxes per month. She didn’t seem to mind that I was gifting it to myself to get around that rule either. You never know who you get on the phone it differs with each agent I believe.I am glad Boxycharm and Ipsy don’t care how many go to the same address because I have two Boxy accounts and three Ipsy accounts.

If you sign up while it advertises the voucher on the allure site then you should get it.

They are saying it’s a LTO and while supplies last so that people don’t roll in next month where they have seen an old link or something and expect to get it.

I think people are reading a bit much into the “while supplies last” line. I don’t see it as Allure is going to give out as many vouchers as they can, so hurry and use it as soon as you can for a chance at getting the styling tool. I took it as, come sign up for Allure and get a styling tool while we still have vouchers for them (ie while supplies last). Allure has included the tool as a part of the new member December box and have advertised as much. They aren’t going to piss everyone off by giving out more vouchers than they have tools available. I know you didn’t question that this might be what they’re doing but, it just seems like there are a lot of people worried about this. They can relax, Allure isn’t like Boxy, always trying to find a way to bend their customers over, they are a bit more professional. And yes, before anyone starts, I’m aware that some people had a hard time getting their free SR gift a while back, but I believe that was a mistake on Allure’s part, not an intentional bait and switch. I’m guessing the vouchers will have specific coupon codes assigned to them that can be used on the website to be entered at checkout, unless they are available in store somewhere, then maybe that would be an option too. 💜
