  1. I may have spoken too soon about their good customer service. I was offered two discounts, one for a reactivation (a $25 box price) and one for my birthday (came to about $3 or so off). Tribe did not honor either one when I activated for this box. I was charged full price plus shipping. I have reached out to them twice via email and as of this writing, I have not received a response. I will update if I do.

    • Update: I just received correspondence from Tribe. They refunded $10. (Didn’t get my birthday discount.) I’m satisfiedwith this and the courteous email.

  2. Ooh. That Mystic Moon lipstick is perfect for my icy undertones. Decent box.

  3. Just FYI, you can purchase this box without starting a subscription. I’m guessing because it’s a collaboration they’re offering that way for the same price. I’ve been thinking of subscribing for a while so when I saw the full spoilers last night (their site listed them in the description of the one-time box) I decided to grab it. This way I can try it and not have to worry about remembering to cancel before January in case I decide it’s not for me. The only thing I don’t like about them from the reviews I’ve read so far is just that I wish they’d include some skincare. They do seem to send one most months though.
At any rate I am super excited about trying these products and brands!

  4. I think this is a great box and I love that the value on the brushes is where most of the brushes from these boxes should be! I’m really starting to like Tribe, if I wore makeup more than twice a month (I’m lazy😂) I’d subscribe, but I’m more of a skincare junkie.

  5. Interesting box!

  6. I have no desire to emulate a Swedish doll.
    Whatever that is

    • Lol! I think it is just a term of endearment, like sweetheart, etc. I have subscribed to her YouTube channel for some time, and I like her a lot. She specializes in bold/colorful eye looks, which isn’t my typical personal look, but I like to see how she puts together these fun looks.
