  1. I love all the Ipsy bags I get. Even the ones I’m not crazy about. Life is full of all kinds of different, and that’s a great thing. Graditude is a sweet little thing too.

    • Love this comment =)

    • Spot on my sister!!

    • I agree! Gratitude goes a long way and if you don’t like something, gift it – you might make someone’s day! I love all my ipsy bags but am not particularly crazy about November’s bag (design or contents), but for $12, I have ZERO complaints about ipsy. Plus, 9 times out of 10 if it’s a product I don’t have use for, it’s something my curly haired, skin-care-loving, lip scrub, face mask daughter will gladly take off my hands. I just started setting things aside for a women’s shelter and saving bags for my Operation Christmas Child boxes to use for pencils and school supplies where I KNOW anything extra will be appreciated. It’s all about perspective.

      • I wish I had taken more of the ones I don’t really love when I went on vacation. I used a couple to put seashells in while walking on the beach. Then, on the road trip, at a rest stop, I took some hotel toiletries inside the bathroom to leave there. Someone had already left Ipsy and some other bags filled with other items. Awesome!

  2. After trying 6+ beauty subs, gotta say, the Regular Ipsy GB is one of the BEST beauty subs sometimes!!!!!

    • I agree. I’m not exactly thrilled with them at the moment… I really think they need to make things right with a lot of people after October’s mess.
I decided to redo the budget recently and Ipsy is the only sub I kept. I did mention that in my email regarding a repeat product. I would not mind a repeat product that I have rated highly, but, not when it’s a product I have marked rarely but get regularly and rate very low every single time. 🤷‍♀️
I get it that they are going through some changes, but, they can definitely afford to customize bags better and they can certainly afford to make things right for the subscribers that did not get what was promised in October. Even though I’m not one of them, it does leave a sour taste…

  3. Give me actual item spoilers!

    • Please, does anyone have any clue as to what the 6 mini-gift bags will include? I want to buy them in bulk for my students for gifts. 🙂 thanks, g

  4. Why Ipsy? Have been skipping since September and will probably do so until next year. Waste of money :/

  5. Okay I love this set so much I might go check a thrift store for the 2 larger sizes to have a travel set! I didn’t like the last 2 bags. Boop was so cute, but her expression is kind of creepy to me; so I gave her away, and I don’t like animal fur anything. I don’t know why. It just isn’t my style. So I will be giving that away too. I think the silver is refreshing. I would love it even more with snowflakes!

    • Another good place to check is Mercari (buying/selling app) – I always see tons of Ipsy bags up there, for cheap too.

      • Thank you! I probably sounded crazy wanting the whole set, but I see stacks of them at Goodwill when I drop things off. So I was thinking I might find them for a dollar or less and would get them.

  6. I’m guessing Ipsy spent their Glambag budget on their collab bags. Considering they don’t pay for the items that go in our Glambags, they could do much better on some. They definitely could have done something more seasonal.
I did notice that the different bags have different colored zippers.

    • I appreciate that it’s holiday-themed without it being CHRISTMAS themed. Hanukkah starts on December 22 this year and silver and blue are used a lot as holiday colors for the Festival of Lights. But plenty of people use silver for their Chrismas holiday decorations. Best of both faiths!

      • The regular Ipsy bag has a green zipper, Glambag plus has a blue zipper and Glambag ultimate looks like white?
I married a cradle Catholic. I do have Jewish heritage but we were raised Baptiste. Some years ago, I was gifted a nice, tall Christmas tree. It was our 1st Christmas as a blended family with ALL the children there. Instead of digging out everything for the tree, we decided to go shopping. We ended up with white lights with blue and silver decorations. It was very pretty. In walks my sister in law,”Oh! My! God! What?! In?! The?! World?! Is that really necessary? You could have just told us you were Jewish instead of screwing up the Christmas tree for my nieces! You do know that?! Don’t you?!” 😳 Number 1, sugar, This. Is. MY! HOUSE! And my tree. Not to mention, MY HUSBAND, aka, your brother, is actually the one that chose the colors. And that’s the mild mannered one… No, we don’t spend very many holidays together. 😂

      • 😂 she would hate my tree then. An all black tree with black ornaments (some are Halloween and some are just painted black) with red lights. It’s strange but it works and isn’t boring.
It doesn’t matter what people think of your tree as long as you’re happy with it is all that matters because you’re the one living with it.
🤦🏻‍♀️ I actually think the blue and white sounds chic. I like basic color schemes, it creates a more cohesive piece.

      • I had always had very cute, detailed, table top Christmas trees until that year. Being a blended family, we both have family decor and ornaments. I would display certain ornaments here and there, but I decided that, less is more for that year.
The full size tree was a gift and it was a pretty intense intense time. So, instead of putting out a lot of breakable, sentimental items, I put out fun stuff. I don’t know how she missed the hand painted, wooden, redneck Santa practically hanging in her face… I think she saw the blue & silver ornaments and just assumed as she usually does. 🤷‍♀️ If she only knew what a friggin mutt I actually am, it would just give her more to spew out of her face and then use the, “I’m just joking! Goodness! Can’t you take a joke?!” Not when it’s always a personal dig. After almost 15 years, I just say NO and even though it’s juvenile, I just throw low balls back. It’s the only way some people can be dealt with. Eye for an eye?

      • Lol…I’m not religious but what does the colors and tree have to do to make her upset?!?! I dont understand… sounds interesting…

Now the black tree with Halloween vibes and red lights sound absolutely fantastic!!!!!! I dont have a tree and thi king of buying one after Christmas this year, and didnt k ow they made black ones…that COULD be interesting!!! Lol

      • Ok. I’m awake now… Yes, she was offended that I took something Christmas and Christian (it’s not, the tree is pagan), and tried to make it look Jewish. She did think that I was trying to impose the Jewish faith on her nieces & her brother. Correction, sweetheart. My house, my husband, my stepchild, my rules, my tree, my faith and my door.
It’s not what she says, it’s how she says it. It’s creepy in a way most people don’t see. Overly opinionated, but always say how neutral she is. “Oooohhhh… I didn’t mean it THAT way! Ha ha ha! Come on! I’m just joking! It’s a joke! Can’t you take a joke?! Don’t be so sensitive! Gaw!!!” 🤪 Ya, I’m from a pretty small town, and I can take a joke and I can make a joke. Not so funny when the joke is you, is it? Anybody else know someone like that? I’m completely guilty of being a jerk like that, but there’s a difference when that’s how someone is all the time. It’s personal little digs at another person, usually pointed out in front of others and played off as a joke. Kinda like two old friends might roast each other over a couple of beers??? 🤷‍♀️😂 But, this crap is different, and then if you get defensive or say anything, they get loud and defensive, cause a scene that makes you look and feel like an overly sensitive baby. Nuts! At least I wear my crazy! 🤣

      • You can find anything on amazon, I figured if they made pink trees, they had to make black. I love my tree, it’s different plus the way it lights up the room at night is oddly nice, not creepy as you might expect. I like color schemes, and abhor boring. So I would probably have loved your tree. I think it’s nice to try and celebrate all holidays, that way you get a better insight and understanding to people that are different than you. I would probably have fun tormenting your sister in law by pushing her even further. Keep your wits high, and maybe see how far you can go with it. Then just say “what? I’m just joking” and see how she likes it.

      • She would hate my tree too! It mostly Star Wars with some simpsons thrown in because I don’t have enough Star Wars, lol. My dream is to one day be able to afford the Death Star tree topper. 🤗

      • Lol! Oh, she wouldn’t have a problem with yours at all. She would think it’s cool. Unless it was on my tree… 😂 As the kids have gotten older, they are definitely very different and don’t hang out anymore. Everybody’s kids have kept us all pretty busy in different directions even though we all live in the same area. We hardly see each other anymore except on occasions family being in town or a funeral. I don’t think she’s been in my last 2 homes. I’m not complaining though. 😘 We pretty much only attend things in a public setting and I think that has become obvious.

      • Blue is my favorite color and yes I would put blue ornaments /tinsel/ decorations on a Christmas tree. I bet yours looked very festive!

      • It did, thank you! We had been gifted the tree and really did not feel like digging out the family ornaments from both sides. So, we went to Walmart and bought some of the cheapest ornaments we could find. We considered certain colors, I thought purple and silver but the blue and silver with white lights was actually hubby’s idea. Lol! The color scheme never even crossed our minds until sissy in law said something. 🤷‍♀️ I don’t think she meant anything by her 1st response which was surprise with the statement question,”I didn’t know you were Jewish?!” But, she definitely didn’t want anything taught to her family or their Christmas ruined. I sarcastically reassured her that I’m not a practicing Jew, I love me some Jesus! Mmmkay?! See my perty nativity scenes? Plural… Lol! I haven’t put up a tree in a few years. When we downsized, we gave the big tree and some decor to neighbors. It’s still in use!

  7. Meh.
Thankfully I paused my 2 subs (Plus & Ultimate) for November. That looked downright painful. They messed up my 1st Ultimate bag horribly but did their best to make up for it but was still just a disaster. Im gonna wait n see December Spoilers before I decide whether to cancel altogether or not. It really saddens me to see how far ipsy has sunk in their approval rating. A “2.1” currently. Yikes. They hit it out of the park for ME every month with the Plus bag. Came out with this “Ultimate” failure n just nose dived. 😢

    • That rating 2.1 rating is just for Glam Bag Ultimate, I think

      • It was 1.9 a week or two ago LOL! It’s on its way to the top!

      • Wow. I just took a quick peek at what’s on the BBB website regarding Ipsy. A+ rating but I don’t know how they calculate that or why they even have if they are not actually accredited…

  8. For crying out loud. I understand why Ipsy cannot do “holiday” bags; it would make people who don’t celebrate the same holidays feel excluded. HOWEVER, would it kill them to have a seasonal theme? Its December. For a lot of Ipsy subscribers that means winter weather and a New Year. Would it kill them to create a bag with a festive appearance? This looks like stove top popcorn foil. Fingers crossed the December products aren’t no name crap partnerships…again.

    • I agree. Even if it was something as simple as snowflakes. I noticed the zippers are different colors. They did one similar in 2017 but it’s not as plain. Guess they put all their GlamBag budget into the collab bags. Oh well…

    • IDK if these bags for Glam Bag Plus is to make it easier on us to give the crap away?
I do not miss and I was never excited about the bags but a few years ago, the bags were cute. The bags haven’t been cute, I hope December’s Jiffy Pop bag is not an omen that we are in for another month of junk.

      • Jiffy Pop- I’m dying. 😊

      • Hahaha, I came on Here to write ‘if I put it on the stove and shake will popcorn cone out’…but you beat me too it. Totally reminds me of Jiffy Pop

    • 💯 like cheap silver lamé!

  9. I appreciate the different styles of all 3 and how the Ultimate is different than this month. So I applaud them on that. Yet, it’s just not doing anything for me. I was really hoping for something gorgeous for the season but it feels lack luster. 😕

  10. It is what I was hoping for. Something metallic or sparkly for the holidays.

    I like them!

    • I like them, too, Amy! It’s appropriate for the month without over-the-top holiday ‘doo-dads’…we have Walmart for that, lol! I’m glad there’s no obvious reference to Christmas or New Years. Ipsy cannot possibly please everyone. I didn’t care for Boop. I used it for donations. No muss, no fuss. I try to find the good. Peace, all.

  11. I would love if there was an opt out of the bag option on glam plus and possibly get another product (even if smaller or one from regular glam bag) I don’t need a bag every time or even at all. Seems wasteful for me.

    • Genius! I’ve been a member for just a few months and no bag was a big reason that I upgraded from GB to GBP. Would much rather have a deluxe product than a bag every month!

    • I also hate the bags and would rather get a sample size of something! The bags have always been this awkward thing I feel wasteful getting. I donate them to Goodwill. I hated the bags when I did Sephora too.

  12. I like it and I guess I’m in the minority because I love that we have bags again for Glam Plus. I feel the glam plus are the true size of a makeup bag.

  13. I love it!!! I love silver and I am actually hoping ipsy gets a little more festive and we get some foil shadows in December! That would be nice for a change.

  14. Love it I personally love most of Ipsy bags it’s always a plus getting a bag every month as there is so many uses for them I skipped the oct bag thou even thou the leopard print was one of my favorites I wished I got

    • I love the leopard print, too! It’s my favorite so far!

    • Jeniginger check out some of the Ipsy buy sell trade sites on FB. You can almost always find someone selling their bags on there (with or without makeup in them)

    • You can always purchase the past bags (as well as products) on ebay. Ipsy along with other subs sell their leftover product in bulk to people at a discounted price. They in turn sell it on ebay. Single items and lots.

  15. I think this would have been better if it were gold instead of silver. I hope the Ipsy bag isn’t going to be frosty silvery makeup. Also, please (PLEASE) no influenster brands.

    • I would have preferred gold as well. But the silver is OK.

I hope they will stop these collaborations. It is obvious most people don’t want them.

I am getting of blushes, highlighters and bronzers.

It seems I get one in all of my bags.

  16. Simple, but cute

    • I may be in the minority, but I hate how they introduced bags back into the plus. Why contribute more to the world’s waste even more? I only use makeup bags for travel, and when I do I rather a big bag that can hold everything. I certainly don’t need a bag every month. I so wish there was an option to opt out of bags entirely

      • Mj while I understand where you’re coming from these bags are very handy for donations and gifts. I know a lot of areas are doing “period packs” for young ladies in middle/high school and putting a pad, a wipe and other things in them. Other groups also use these size bags to make toiletry bags for the homeless. Another group was collecting these bags to make bags for ladies at domestic violence centers. Check your local area for info or even FB groups.

      • I love the bags too. I understand why some don’t want them if they have to find a way to dispose of them, but I love organizing with them (everything is organized! I mean everything!), and I really love gifting them with treats inside! Imagine filling one with hard candies or little toys and having a basket of them ready to give to children you see over the holidays. You could leave a bunch of for a family in need of something so small that might mean so much. All the other ideas are awesome. I love to fill them with extras I won’t use and give them as stocking stuffer type gifts or have them handy to give as a gift to unexpected guests (like a relative’s new girlfriend you found out about last minute). They also make great pick me up surprises. Fill one up, put it back in the ipsy envelope and seal it up. Weigh it (if you have a scale) and send it off to someone who needs some cheer up mail.

      • Great ideas! I love the bags too.

      • I agree. I’d rather be able to opt out of bags.

      • I use these to organize crafts and stuff. If I get too many I’ll donate them. They’re only a waste if you don’t know how to find a purpose for them.

  17. Underwhelmed

  18. Better than the last two for sure

  19. Nice and simple is ok. I think I’ll like the texture of this one.

  20. nice. love the sleek minimalist lines. we’re going to be inundated with over the top bling during the holiday season. nice to see simple, clean, festive bags.

    • Agree. I despise all the excessive holiday stuff. It’s not needed. Simple and clean. Very eye pleasing.

  21. Said it before, will say it again– I really like the shape of the bag for the regular sub, with the zipper on the front side like that. Looking forward to it.

    • front zip bag is suppose to be the plus + bag, I saw it on the Ipsy site

      • Thank you for the note– I scrolled back up and I see they are switched this morning. (But I get plus, too, so I’m still good. LOL.)

  22. Looks like the inside of an insulated bag! 😆😆😆

    • Yeah, I’m not living for it. Very much an insulated bag lining.

  23. Love this sooo much better then leopard !!!

    • Yes! So over animal print!

    • I LOVE the leopard! Send me all the leopard bags!

  24. I personally don’t like the addition of bags each month to the Glam Plus. When i had the regular Ipsy I gave away so many. I would prefer more attention on good products than adding bags. I loved Plus when it first started. The last 4-5 months have been awful compared 🤦🏼‍♀️

    • I agree I subscribe to all three bags and I am not looking forward to so many makeup bags. I give a lot of them away but, honestly if this is my “one” treat I wish I could use everything. I rather Ipsy have an option to opt out of bags (especially if you don’t like the design) and get points or an item instead.

      • Love the idea of getting points!! Ipsy is far more likely to do that than give out another item to everyone every month, imo, so give us points! Brilliant!

I think you should email ipsy with your idea!

  25. Niiiice!!!! But I’m hoping that next month’s Ultimate bag will be bigger than it appears. This month’s Ultimate bag is big enough to use as a lunch bag.

  26. I love metallics – so I’m quite pleased with these silver bags – simple elegance.

    • Agree with the metallic!

I LOVE metallic silver anything. I’d love a bit more bling, maybe a gem on the zipper pull, but it’s pretty (and certainly better than leopard).

  27. All three bags are cute. I like the fact, they’re subtle, yet festive. Bring on some good spoilers! 🙂

  28. great looking bags…come on ipsy.give us great December products.

  29. I might be I. The minority, but I like the ultimate bag. I also love the silver, quite festive!

    • I love the bags. I am happy with them. I have not received mine yet but I think the November bags were cute.

My only compliant with the regular Glam Bags is the samples are getting tinier and tinier. They raised the price but the samples are so small most of the time.

      • Yes!! I got a facial oil sample and it was literally the size of half my pinkie finger. So unreasonable for Ipsy.

  30. I use them for all kinds of storage and donations. It’s all good!

    • I love the December bags! Really love the GBP bag and can’t wait to get that and my regular GB in December!

  31. These are so festive!

  32. 1.9 star rating, that’s sad but deserved.

  33. I appreciate that the Ultimate bags are a different style to keep things “fresh” – but I’m not a fan of the tin foil bag. Maybe it’s supposed to make people think of holiday leftovers?

    • I believe it’s simply festive silver. Better than Boop! 😉

    • It makes me think of a Chipotle burrito 😂

  34. Ipsy glam bag plus ultimate first born child. I can’t keep up 🤣

    • I subscribe to Glam Bag Plus. I find the zipper placement on this bag absolutely maddening. Will sell or donate. The other two are so much nicer. I don’t mind a simple metallic bag, but a tassel would have made it cuter.
