  1. I skipped November’s glam box plus. Just cancelled altogether for December. Ipsy has went down hill. Another Illamasqua eyeliner???? Why do I keep getting black liquid eyeliner in my boxes. I don’t even wear it! I’ve never heard of the brand, for the quad eyeshadow. 25 dollars a month???? I could get the same items at my local Big Lott’s a lot cheaper. Sick of getting these discounted brands I’ve never heard of. So long Ipsy!

  2. Gosh IPSY…what has happened to the quality name brands we were getting? I’m rethinking my subscription now…Boxyluxe is really kicking up their products and giving us name brands always…I may cancel my IPSY and just use boxyluxe

  3. I got the serum in my ultimate this month, and it’s awful. It pulls up and so gross I have to wash my face right away. I just threw it away after trying it 3 times.

Are they sending these to everyone?!

  4. Oh well. Paused November and now pausing December. Looking forward to something fabulous in January, or might just cancel. I know IPSY Plus can be great, but these past couple of months just haven’t been the right match for me. Have not liked Boxy’s business model lately, so they are on the chopping block permanently. Bought Pat McGrath’s new quads and her newest Mothership and both of Hourglass holiday 6-pan Ghost palettes, so I think that will be my new direction of just buying what makes me definitely happy and not winding up with overload and donation piles. The Rouge event totally decimated my budget, anyways. What budget? There’s nothing left, since I have no self control. 🙁

    • How do you like the new mothership pallette?! Does it have all the glitter and sparkle?! I unfortunately dont have a sephora near me and have some of her other pallettes I love…but I like glitter and the sparkle.

  5. Hi,

Does anybody know when we will have the December Ulimate spoilers? I’m new to Ipsy. November will be my first box (patiently waiting which isn’t one of my virtues)

    Thanks!

  6. I like all of these except the face spray.

I will take any of the others 🙂

  7. I just received my November Ultimate box. It includes the Evolue super oil. Oils don’t really do anything but leave me oily. So I wasn’t expecting great things from a Super Oil. I’m delighted to discover that I love this! It’s a similar feel to my fave Caudalie serum. I’d love to have more!

  8. was expecting more exciting spoilers for the december box. morphe lipstick looks nice but i hope they step it up with the next round of spoilers :/

    • Where are the regular ipsy Glam bag spoilers? I’ve been checking for so very long now!!

  9. I think everyone needs to realize and accept that if beauty boxes include Murad, Sunday Riley, other extremely high end brands every month this market will very quickly become unsustainable as a business model and will crash. People are demanding more and more expensive items for very little money in these boxes, for their business model to work they HAVE to have some months where there is more filler products not to mention many people enjoy finding new makeup from less expensive brands that they would not normally go out and buy to try. I know that I like to have options both in high-end and in drugstore makeup. The nice thing is that there is a pause button for those months where it does not work for me personally. The thing though is that if people do not reign in their demand, pretty soon beauty boxes are going to be over completely.

    • I would have no issue with inexpensive brands. I think the biggest issue is when they straight up lie about RV in order to get people to purchase the boxes. No one is forcing them to constantly raise the promised RV but when they do and then don’t deliver or worse use a cheap collaboration and assign it a value to compensate for what they couldn’t deliver on that’s where people get mad. I love brushes, and if they sent $15 NYX brushes I would be over the moon instead they send a brand that only sells on their site, amazon, and it’s own site for a crazy retail value that I doubt anyone has actually paid in order to pad the promised value. And I’ve gotten 5 sets of these brushes when I had ipsy plus.

      • Ipsy is stating the MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price). They are not just making them up. Can you find a lot of these products cheaper? Of course you can. Lesser known Indie brands can often be found at retailers like T.J. Max at discounted prices. But they too list the MSRP and their price so you can see what a “bargain” it is. Even brands like Sunday Riley and Murad have sales some times. Ipsy has more than 3.5 million subscribers. I don’t think they they need to make up ways to lure people in.

        • I’m specifically talking about ipsy brand collaborations that’s have 0 RV in the real world and are what ipsy uses to bump up RVs. The entire betty boop collab sells for $40 and they never had any intention of selling it for the 179 but they count the blush or shadow palette as 35 in the box so they can say they hit their states RV. I understand name brands and even indie brands being on sale in the real world but F.a.r.a.h. brushes have never been sold outside of ipsy, their box, and amazon under their name and neither have ipsy collab.

      • Agreed. Nyx and Elf have some nice products out there, along with Milani, Flower Beauty, etc. It is the Betty Boop and Gigi who? that I wonder where the stuff is made and what it is made of that turns me off.

        • made in china ipsy needs to do better

    • I agree with you completely. As much as I do enjoy getting higher end brands in my boxes, at the same time I am open to trying new and/or unknown brands. Ipsy and Boxycharm (even though they heavily focus on the big name brands) are a mix of both big name brands and smaller unknown brands. This is why I am currently subscribed to both, although I might drop both after next month so that I can start saving money so that I can move back to L.A. in the future (I currently live with my great aunt in Hesperia, California). Beauty subscription boxes used to be fun for me, but now they’re so depressing to the point that it’s hard to enjoy what I’m getting in my boxes every month, and it’s because people are beginning to act greedy and entitled. People seriously need to chill with the unnecessary demands. This is why subscription services like Ipsy and Boxycharm are now having serious issues every month. This is also why some subscription boxes go out of business. It’s also a huge factor as to why Ipsy and Boxycharm recently raised prices (a lot of brands, especially big name brands, are beginning to charge these subscription boxes more money for the products that they put in the boxes, so the subscription boxes try to cover costs by charging their subscribers more money). And it will get even worse as long as we keep acting like spoiled and entitled brats.

  10. I think I’m going to cancel GBP. I skipped last month and I was hoping Dec will be great but nah. Maybe I’m just burnt out of this beautybox sub. I have too many makeup and skincare, seems like I don’t get too excite about makeup any more. I feel like I expecting more and better products cause I’ve been spoiled in the past.

  11. Based on this, I am probably going to skip. Does anyone know if there will be more spoilers and when? I don’t want to be too hasty and then miss out on something great. However, it seems they always release the best spoilers first. If that’s the case, nothing appeals to me this month and my wallet could use the break. 🙂

  12. Ipsy Glam Bag Plus is the only one I had subscribed to from Ipsy and have now skipped 2 months already. When I signed up, I received Pixi spray, beautiful eyeshadow palette etc. all items I used. One month I got a great cleanser, IT cosmetics foundation and one month Huda Beauty Pink Sands. That is what I would expect: one high demand Very exciting item and few ”not known brands” adds like shadow brushes, body wash, single shadows, lip liners etc. Now it seems like the named brands are out and all they are left with is the filler stuff that used to be ”support items” for the big demand items. If this does not change soon, I will be completely out of Ipsy.
