Ipsy Glam Bag November 2019 Choice Time!

Did anyone notice the metallic teal blue bag on the top of the choice page for this month? https://www.ipsy.com/glambag/story/201911_addons I love it! I hope it’s an upcoming bag!

I just subscribed to Ipsy glam bag and I downloaded the App so my ??? Is how do I pick my 1 item? All I see is October’s picks. Ty

Has anybody else noticed that the rewards points items available have not changed or sold out for quite some time???
I know a lot of people were “compensated” with 800 points for the October fiasco. Instead of handling the issues??? I did not have the same issues but it still took until yesterday to get much of any response from Ipsy regarding repeat items in my Glambags. I really had to look closely at any subscriptions I’ve had to make sure, but, yes, that is the same exact mascara. CS argued with me about this even though I sent screenshots of my past GlamBags. I asked that the emails be sent to a supervisor and got ghosted yet again.
I started 3 new emails and only got a response to one. Generic corporate responses along with what almost seems like a nice little lecture as well because I mentioned the increase of the price of rewards points items. “All Ipsy subscribers should be thankful that Ipsy still offers this free perk. I have just added 600 points to your account. I hope this helps. Thanks for being a loyal subscriber.”
No mention of the repeated mascara or the fact that my Glambag did not match my profile in any way. The only thing that did was an add on. Everything else is a complete waste for me. Sorry to say it, but, it’s true.
A couple of years back, there were so many cry babies complaining about “never having items available to redeem points for & boo hoo!!! Now I have points expiring!” I know I’m not the only one that didn’t have problems. I actually enjoyed the rewards points program. Ipsy’s response to all of that was to raise the points cost of rewards items and they have continued to get higher and higher. 600 points for a “chapstick”?! Those were 100 points exactly 3 years ago??? Now they’ve raised the prices so high, nobody that has only one subscription with them can afford more than one item per year, two if we are lucky. Yes, I know I can throw my link around online and hope someone uses it so I get the points, but I’m not doing that.
Ipsy is definitely making some serious money these days and getting pretty greedy, in my opinion.

For anybody looking for ideas on ways to use all those Glambags:
1: I have my makeup sorted in them by category and in the order I use them.
2: I need a bag partially ready to go at all times. Each bag has a category, one bag has skincare (sometimes 2 bags, morning & bedtime), another has medication, one has haircare, shower supplies, makeup, makeup brushes & tools.
Even though I give some away, I keep my favorites but still have Glambags I don’t care about.
3: Vacation Time: recently went on a beach anniversary vacation. I used a cheap plastic zip loc style bag from another sub to put shells in but it soon filled up. I did take a couple of extra Ipsy Glambags just in case. I had planned on picking up shells for my grandniece & her new stepsister. I did but I wish I had thought to take more Glambags. Why? Because I could have taken a Glambag to the beach every day and not have to dump my days catch into a large ziplock bag. I actually saw a couple of other people with Glambags on the beach. I really wish I had taken more bags that I don’t like or care about. I would have given some away to children picking up shells.
I only carried a purse when out to dinner & there is a Glambag in it. The rest Of the time, I carried a sling pack with a couple of Glambags or just a Glambag with a few items I need to have at all times.
I filled the biggest Glambag I had with me with items from the hotel. Tampons, wipes, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, comb, Kleenex & a protein bar. Sure enough, on the trip back home, someone in a rest stop restroom needed it.
So, going on a trip or vacation? They really help sort stuff. This is just a few things…

I chose the Verson serum. Hope to get the lip balm in my bag as well.

Choices kinda suck in my opinion. I chose the hair mask because it’s one of my favorites and I want at least one product that actually matches me this next month.

Someone recommended first aid beauty on this site for my skin so i picked and I’m excited to try it out!

Verso Serum sample in the regular $12 glam bag? Who are you Ipsy? Lovin’ it. Breaking up is so hard to do.

I thought I had cancelled my GBU but I was able to make a choice and it said my last glam bag ultimate would be this month.

Has this happened to anybody else?

Does anyone know if I subscribe today for the regular glam bag if I will get October or November? I don’t care for the October spoilers and would like the option of picking my item. Thanks!

I chose the Murad sunscreen. The regular glam bag has the best options by far this month IMHO!

Such a nice box, has a hard time to choose my product, because I want them all.

I picked the FAB oil. I’ve been wanting to try it.

I really hope some of these are included in the add-ons! I actually had a very hard time choosing between the MAC and First Aid Beauty products. I went with the MAC because I’m almost out of my regular cleansing oil but I’ll buy the FAB oil for sure if it’s an add-on.

I’m actually overall very delighted by these choices! Last month’s offerings with underwhelming but this month was great for me.

I grabbed the Murad sunscreen. Was tempted by the MAC cleansing oil, but it’s super tiny, only 0.2 ounce.

I chose the violet voss for my ultimate they are send free for the makeup of this months crappy box. For my two glam bags I chose the pixi eyeshadow and the murad moisturizer

Skipped, skipped, and skipped again…🙄

I went with the Murad Essential-C Moisturizer. The sample size items are very generous and this will be perfect to take with me, when I go on vacation in the Spring. I also chose the full size Murad lotion for my Glam Plus.

I decided not to pick and will.let ipsy choose.my products hopefully if will go good.

I got the verso, and the first aid oil..i have 2 accounts.thanks ipsy, looks good this month.

I picked the bb cream/foundation- loving having a choice!

I think there are a lot of great choices but I went ahead and skipped this month last week because I’m on product overload and would rather use the money to build up my winter wardrobe than the stash in my drawers. Not regretting that yet.

I dropped down from Plus to the regular bag this month. I went with the FAB oil for my choice because I love this brand and have a lot of redness in my skin. Looking forward to add-ons.
