Happy Rebel Box just announced that they have a new owner:

What do you like about Happy Rebel? What haven’t you liked? These are just a few things I’ve been wondering since I took over in October. I have heard from a few of you via email and social media, but I thought a formal survey could open up some new conversations.

I want to know what the subscribers have liked in past boxes and what you want to see in future boxes. Your feedback is incredibly important to me, so thank you in advance for taking the time to answer a few questions.

The Cost: $100 a quarter

The Products: Each box will contain 4-6 items that will vary box to box, so you will never receive the same types of items repeatedly. Each box could contain jewelry, fashion accessories, home decor, beauty products, as well as other various lifestyle items that fit the collection of the box as well as the Happy Rebel modern and edgy style.

  1. Hey Liz, Any update on this box having a Winter spoiler or a box at all? Seems like all the other boxes have either had a few or full spoilers.

    • On Facebook she said spoilers are coming soon. Last year they came out early because the whole box was customizable.

  3. The survey didn’t have any areas for subscribers to critique what they didn’t like from past boxes.

  5. What happened to the previous owner? No farewell letter to subscribers letting them know they’re ‘still’ in good hands. Where did Kelly come from…has she worked with HR over the years? This all seems very odd and like maybe they could share a few more details with their customers.

      I have some hope that the new owner sent out a survey. If she can bring the box to its former (or new!) glory, I may resubscribe. But will watch and see first.

  7. I think their regular boxes are good. It was just the mystery boxes that aren’t, IMO.

  8. I know this box gets a lot of hate but it’s actually one of my favorite boxes. I have cancelled almost all subs but HR and breo are two I haven’t even thought of cancelling. This next box will be very telling if Kelly, the new owner, will bring the love back to HR from other folks. I’m cautiously optimistic.

    • Some of my favorite boxes I’ve ever gotten (and I’ve had a lot of subs) came from HR. And then there are other ones that just don’t fit me…but I expect that. Not everything is for everyone and it won’t always be a perfect match unless you are really easy to please. LOL. I think people just love to hate.

      • Seconded! And it’s easy to skip if a season’s theme isn’t the best fit for one’s personal preferences.

    • I agree! Although, there have been some HR boxes that weren’t a good fit for me (and the most recent fall box is a disaster), HR is still one of the boxes I look forward to the most. The curation is always unique and the quality is generally high. I thought Joanna did a nice job (notwithstanding the latest box)—I’m hoping the change in ownership won’t result in a major change to the overall HR aesthetic. I can’t wait to see spoilers for the winter box!!!

    • I wouldn’t say this box gets a lot of hate. For the most part, the subscribers tend to love it. It was just that last box that was totally hateful.

      • The box definitely got blasted for the last one (which is forgiveable) but has also taken many hits over the past couple of years especially in regards to mystery boxes and retail values. Some posts got pretty ugly…

      • True. If people are that particular, they shouldn’t get subscription boxes. And the ugliness has no excuse. If you feel the need to criticize, do so politely. The Internet is not an excuse to be mean.
