i loved my model eyeshadows,,it will go great with my gold dress for my daughters wedding in December..i love allure, they don’t ask for more money, and they give out nice products..

Alice

I love them, too. That gold with my amber eyes is perfect!

I can never tell till I put it on. The cargo lip I got looked perfect in the tube. I put in on and holy crap it was bright !! You just never can tell till its on.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawna

Nnnnnnope! Without knowing the shade and the this or that bs, I’m still out.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

That’s right, tease me with a deep-tone lipstick: Shades may vary, my ____.

Ah well, hope springs eternal.

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

Beach waves is the color I would most like to have so I’m sure to get a bright orange.

Reply ButtonReply

Mell

Did the gray Model Co EyeLites work for anyone? I tried both abrush and my finger and want getting any color pay off. The glitter parts were under my eye awithin minutes as they had nothing to stick to. It was as if the eyeshadow disappeared and the glitter turned into black smudgey specks under my eyes. Not a good look for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Debbie

The shade I received should have been called “Elvira, Mistress of the dark” lol. I never use this brand but do feel comfortable donating it. They are an Australian brand and wildly popular there. I just don’t get it. I appreciated the nuetral trio in the box and I know that it will be a treasure to someone in a shelter but I have so many better products, it was a waste to put it in the box for me 😿

Reply ButtonReply

Mimosa

Hi Debbie, I just had to chime in here that I live in Australia and Modelco is a basic pharmacy (drugstore) brand that I’ve never used, despite getting it in a few gifts with purchase from time to time. I have always donated it. I’ve never known of anyone using it, and I’ve never seen anyone browsing it or buying it. Seriously, I don’t know how the company is keeping its turnover high enough to keep surviving, but I guess there must be a lot of people somewhere buying it.

SquirrelyGirl

They make the best eyebrow pencil for strawberry blondes. Ever.

If you girls haven’t tried using a black shadow as a base to make other colors pop, try it. The results are pretty great

Alice

No; but, I’m using it in my artwork! Makeup makes great art mediums!

Reply ButtonReply

Betsy

nope. this box gets worse every month.

Reply ButtonReply

Dot

Dislike model co. Eyeshadows yuk! I just donate mine !

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

I used it as a base for turquoise shadow! It was fab that way, but I did still get glitter under my eyes. Unless you use glitter glue, that pretty much happens with most of these type of shadows. I wish we could upload pics on MSA so I could show you.

Just went to Allure website to try to cancel my subscription. They actually changed it so that we can cancel online!!!

When I tried to cancel, I was asked if I was sure and was offered $12 a month for the next two months.

I hit yes, and there was an option to pause.. I was able to even choose the day to resume the subscription!!

Since I really don’t want the november box, I wonder if I should have just cancelled so I would have a chance to get a re-scribe bonus in December.

Reply ButtonReply

Carlak

How were you able to cancel? I have looked and looked and can’t figure out how to do it online. Thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Mellissa

I really wish that Allure would allow us to state a shade range for lip products. I have no idea of what to do with all the colors they keep sending me. I’ve tried them so they aren’t new but I cannot bring myself to throw them out. Hmmm. They sent me a lip color that is the color of my foundation, some odd oranges and a purple. I don’t think I’ve liked a single lip color and I don’t feel like I’m hard to please. I like peach, pink, mauve, some browns, reds that aren’t too dark… does anyone else think this? Or maybe I am really picky and just never realized it?

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

You might this color if you get it. Look up the swatches and pictures of it on. They are more accurate because Tarte is always darker in the tube. This shade appears to be Berry Mojito (berry) or Miami Vice (cool toned red). Both are beautiful and not poop brown like someone else suggested.

Reply ButtonReply

Toni Marie

I cancelled my box in October because most of the products I already had. Now the november box looks amazing already with the tarte lipstick and the eye clear by freeze 24/7… I cant wait November subscription boxes are looking very good.

GMForever

I love Allure box. It was my very first sub box and got me addicted. It’s one of the best sub box out there with great customer service. All you need is call them if you need help for anything, just be patient and wait a few minutes on the phone, they always try to address your concerns, not like other companies (Glossy, Lookfantastic or Ipsy).

Reply ButtonReply

Alice R

They do have great customer service with a real person on the phone! So refreshing!

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

hmm thinking I may skip this one. I will never wear lipstick and Im in my 20s so I don’t really need anti-aging cream. If I could guarantee the moisterizer I might still be interested but this isn’t looking worth it to me. Hoping some other good spoilers come out

Reply ButtonReply

Shari

It’s never too early. I started in my teens, I’m in my mid thirties now and I legit look 20. People ask me if my daughter is my sister constantly lol. Trust me, waiting until you need anti-aging is too late. Then you’re battling wrinkles instead of stopping them

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Indeed! I was still getting carded at almost 40! Will be 60 in two weeks. Still look two decades younger. Skincare is so important, plus lots of water, and never smoking. Sunscreen a must. I never used expensive moisturizers. In fact, I used simple Oil of Olay for decades. Just use something!

Debbie

Everyone, and I mean everyone needs anti-aging cream. I wish I would have started it in the womb 😹

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

Haha ok, fair enough. I’ve only gotten into skincare recently and I’m newly obsessed so any excuse to try new products anyway!

Pink5

Skin experts are starting to recommend using anti-aging products in your twenties as a preventive.

I did because I was a fiend for “gift with purchase”, so I got all this good-quality anti-aging product that I figured I might as well use because they were there.

I’m 57 and can pass for 40(some).

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney

Yesss… Love Tarte lipstick! Hope I get a different/ lighter but nice fall color.

Reply ButtonReply

Denise Atkinson

I have one droopy eyelid and really want to try the eye cream. Hoping to trade anything I have if I dont get it.

Reply ButtonReply

Dot

Yeah I really want the freeze too , just don’t get my hopes up :/

Yeah I noticed my left is a little worse then right , with puffiness, I started using satin pillow cases seemed to help really.. also Sephora has this caffeine eye cream shoot forgot name I’ll post later for under $10.00 and it’s amazing I’ll post later when doing my makeup

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

Inkey? or there’s the ordinary too.

Nicole

Hi Dot! (Or anyone who might want to chime in) I have been in the market for a satin or silk pillow case, mostly for my hair, but I hear they can benefit the skin as well. Was just wondering if there’s one you recommend or if you just buy regular one’s from anywhere? Some that I have seen are so expensive.

Brittney

Reply ButtonReply

mary kincaid

I hope I don’t get this color in the lipstick from tarte its too dark for me…I know they said colors vary…hope its a lighter color than this

Reply ButtonReply

Dawn

No No No…. I received the Cargo lippie in the brightest fuschia/pink I have ever seen. I just know I would receive this s**t brown color. Just NO.

Reply ButtonReply

Sammee

I know you didn’t mean this personally towards anyone, but please bear in mind that there are various shades of people in this world, many of whom who do not look flattering in lighter cosmetic colors and are more suited to a color that you called “s**t brown.”

LeAnn

Dawn: my feelings exactly! Ha!

Danielle

Lol I love your description of it

SquirrelyGirl

It’s red. Tarte lipsticks always look darker in the tube than they are when applied. The color splash is a sheerer formula and is quite nice.

BG

This lipstick is GF so I’m excited. Having a gluten allergy often makes the box a no go when lipstick is a main attraction.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Nice Allure, I’m excited. This lessens the sting of having to put Ipsy in timeout, now I still have a box to enjoy in November.😊 BTW, how is everyone feeling about the SR Ice from October? For a brand that makes 3 of my favorite products (Luna, GG and A+,) am consistently disappointed on their creams. I hated CEO for being greasy, and this one is waxy feeling to me. Is it just me? Does SR make a good cream that I haven’t tried?

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

My first SR cream I’ve used and I actually really like it! I have a skin condition right now and everything is causing me to break out so the fact it didn’t is a miracle

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

Have you tried First Aid Beauty? A couple of years ago I couldn’t use anything on my face because everything was breaking it out. I started using FAB ultra repair line and it seriously saved my skin. Now I can use MOST other products without fear of a flare up. Their products are simple, almost boring, but I will be forever grateful to them for how effective they were.

Dea

Agree that ICE was too heavy-feeling and dense. I have tried about five SR products through beauty boxes, and my wallet is happy that I wasn’t impressed with any of them, except one moisturizer that seemed like a copy of Belif Aquabomb, which costs much less.

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Yes, I think that was Tidal Water Cream.

SquirrelyGirl

Tidal water cream is great

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Loving this box! I completely agree with you on the Sunday Riley moisturisers, i honestly thought that since there serums and treatments were really good that the moisturisers would be to, i also use the Luna, GG and At retionol. The Ice moisturiser that i am currently using and we recieved this month is thick and a little goes a long way but it makes my face feel greasy and look shiny not to mention i think that is what is breaking my skin out because especially when i use GG my complexion is clear, the CEO that i added as a add on does me the same way but much worse! I have tried even using very little and it still does the same thing! The only moisturiser that i have tried from SR that didnt make me look greasy and did a ok job was the Tidal cream. It wasn’t the best moisturiser that i have ever used but it was not the worse, would i purchase the full size? No, probably not. I am still waiting for SR to come out with a good moisturiser that works well with my skincare routine.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

The SR ice is waaaaay too heavy for my face, but I’ve been using it on the backs of my hands and it is wonderful. (Not that I would buy it as a hand cream for that price but it’s a nice way to use up the sample!)

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I find it heavy and waxy, too. I don’t care for Sunday Riley products. They don’t ‘feel’ right for me. I’vee come a fan of Glowbiotics. They’re products are amazing and WORK! I was introduced to them through Dermstore/Beautyfix.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Man, these autocorrects look as if I don’t know grammar and can’t spell. Sorry! BTW, I’m using the ICE as a hand cream. I try to use all my products one way or another!

Jean Pheasant

ALLURE I’ve missed you. I think you’ve lured me back. Your fall and winter boxes are my favorite.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice R

I use that exact caffeine cream on my under eye and I use the Lavido on my upper lids and brow area. It’s a super combo. It’s my formula. I was in the post office the other day and somehow age came up…I mentioned that I would be 60 on November 9 and jaws dropped. No one thought I was over low 40s. Made my day. BTW, I love and use Murad and Glowbiotics as my mainstay other moisturizers, plus Lavido. And I dabble with all the others I’ve received as samples in subs. Good genes help, too! 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Liz

Allure, your November box officially has my attention.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I hope everyone means Amazon to. I was looking at these during make your own bag sale although I prefer shade shifting ones.

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Fabulous spoilers! Happy camper here (though hoping for a pinkish or berry lipstick).

Reply ButtonReply

Paula

Would really like to try the eye cream😉. I hope I receive a slightly lighter shade of Tarte lipstick as I’m pale.

Reply ButtonReply

Kenley

I hope I don’t get the shade above. I only like pinkish tones

Reply ButtonReply

Sandy

Does this box ship outside the US? It rarely states this in the details anymore. 😢
