I hope you see this… I just posted that I tried purchasing this calendar, but it wouldn’t let me because it was marked as not being eligible for International Delivery, but I just recalled that you mentioned below that you ordered the calendar…. can you tell me if you did any finagling to get your order to go through? I remember this happened once before (I think with a Caroline Hirons box), and I had to change the shipping to International Delivery to ship, but I don’t see that option this time. What’s your secret!??! 😀

The Space NK UK “cracker” gwp is now live! I put cracker in quotes, because it doesn’t seem like it’ll be packaged like prior years’ cracker gwps, but rather they’re going to give you 10 boxes that you can fill yourself to either create your own cracker set (which takes the element of surprise out of it for me) or gift individual boxes filled with the freebies to your friends/family. That’s a bit of a bummer, since I was hoping to sort of get a 2nd “calendar” out of it, but at the same time it’s fine since I’ll be getting more bang for my buck with this gwp as opposed to getting the calendar on its own.

Well so much for that… I tried purchasing the calendar, but this year they have it marked as not shipping outside of the U.K (last year it did ship to the U.S.). Wah! Oh well… I guess I should be happy since it’ll save me some $$$. I guess I’m officially set on all of my calendars this year now!

You’re welcome! Last year they were available at the end of October, but the buy-in was lowered in mid-November. I’m almost positive the calendar wasn’t sold out by then. If the buy-in is as high as it was last year, I think I’ll take my chances and wait until mid-November to see if it gets lowered. Since I’ll already be getting a few calendars that include products similar to the Space NK UK calendar, if I miss out on it this year that’ll be fine… it’ll just be a “learning” opportunity to help me better strategize my calendar purchases for next year. 😉

Thank you! Out of curiosity, which calendars are the ones we should jump on right when they become available? Is Harrods and Liberty in that category?

Just thinking about the calendars I plan on getting this year, I do recall that the Harrod’s & Liberty calendars do sell out fairly quickly. I actually plan on getting those right when they come out. However, I read that Liberty will have 50% more calendars in stock compared to last year to give more people a chance to get it. Also, I plan on getting Beauty Expert’s calendar shortly after it goes on sale (which was mid-October last year). While I’m almost positive it never got discounted, a code or two was able to be used to save some $$$ on it, so I plan to give it a day or two to see if any of our resourceful MSAers come up with a coupon code that works. 😉
In the meantime, I’m not sure if you’ve seen full spoilers for the Harrod’s calendar (I hadn’t until today when I got an email from them), so here’s what it’ll be in it:

This was one on my list to get this year so went ahead and ordered. It seems as though the US versions are not as enticing as the UK versions. There are so many great Advent calendars I really had to narrow down the ones I wanted. I liked the assortment of products in the Space NK calendar and curious about the surprise product. Next on my list to check out is Liberty, Cult, Harrods and Net a Porter.

Do go check out the 3 Net A Porter sets from earlier this year. I bought one of each, and am still astonished. Only one deluxe sample in any of the bags. I’still flabbergasted, she said, as she liberally lathers on $225.00 Dr. Jackson’s Night Cream, from one of those $90.00 bags.

I’ve been thinking of getting this one too, but I’m going to wait until November or so, because in prior years they offer a really cool & beautiful 12 holiday cracker gwp that has multiple products in each cracker so it’s like getting two calendars in a way! (I plan to open one cracker every other day 😉 ) Last year I jumped on this advent calendar when it came out, then regretted it because the cracker gwp came out later which I really wanted, but couldn’t justify spending more $$$ just to get it. As for the U.S. version, I’m hoping it overlaps with Space NK’s mega gwp bag they do every Fall. I think that should be coming out within the next week or two. Unfortunately, the Space NK U.S. doesn’t do the cracker gwp (at least they never have in prior years). The only “downfall” to getting both the UK and US calendars is that I remember last year they were about 2/3 the same…. but I still may bite since they were still fun to open and I gifted the duplicates to my mom who opens them with me…. plus the gwps will be nice to have (I’ve been good… I haven’t purchased any of the Space NK gwps this year, so I think it might be time to treat myself. lol )

How are you going to get the Cult Beauty calendar? Do you have a friend in the UK? They won’t ship to the US which really bums me out. I want that one so much! The UK has access to so many we don’t here.
