They lowered the points for some items. The hand cream is back down to 600. That said, glad I used mine ip while they were still decent.

Anyone know when it’s time to pick an option for Ipsy, or when spoilers are coming in for the glam bag plus?

It would be nice if they’d give some!

I’m sooooo ready for this! Why’s it taking forever? 🙁

Wooowww…that EVA NYC is a sample size for 1200 points …that HAS to be a mistake.

And, yes, I realize I just put myself in the crybaby category. Lol!

Nope. I actually wrote in to ipsycare about it. They raised them yet again. From what I have read, I’m not the only one who has. I remember being able to get a lip balm for 100 points and that was 2 years ago? Just 2-3 months back, I got the cake beauty lotion for 600 points. The same exact one, same exact size is now 1200 points? I’m fine with Ipsy growing and raising prices but this is just absurd and it’s like they are getting greedy. Ipsy doesn’t pay for most of this stuff. A lot of it is “given to promote” or pennies on the dollar. The whole raising the points higher and higher started with people being crybabies over have “So many points and nothing I want…”Wha!!! I have points expiring because there’s not enough stuff!!”” And so on. For those of us that don’t have multiple accounts and don’t go spamming our links all over the place, this means instead of several free items per year, it’s 2, and now, maybe 1? They raised the points over enough people crying and complaining. My guess is, if enough people start whining about complaining again, they might lower them. That seems to be how Ipsy works. Cater to the crybabies…

I complain about some stuff. Obviously… But, yaaaa… some of it is just… 😭 👶 Even though I’m not at all happy about the rewards points items cost, I’m still staying. After 3 1/2 years & trying several other subs, I was down to Ipsy, Allure & Target boxes. I have even tried some subs that have to do with home supplies, etc., but I can find the same things locally and cheaper. I find myself needing to redo our budget and some things need to change. I’m taking certain things like how many times we go out to eat, subscriptions, etc., and making cuts here and there. Target has made that a very easy decision to just not purchase anymore. Allure, ya… I’m just going to cancel and when they come out with a box I want, I will call. That leaves me with Ipsy & Billie razors which I only need every 3 months, and I order from dollar maxi club as needed. I went through everything and that’s what made the cut.

Anyone know when we get to choose our product for October’s glambag?

I got the fruit Sorbet by Violet Voss. Thanks Ipsy for screwing up my bag last month and giving me 600 points as an I’m sorry.

Regina

At least we don’t have to pay shipping for our point items. Looking at you Boxycharm!

Becky

I’m sorry. Have they gone completely insane now? 2400 points for a 3 shade palette??

No.

Just NO.

There is no way. 1200 is nuts but 2400? They have to be kidding.

MzBev

It’s a blush palette. That is normal for those. They don’t usually have several shades of BLUSH included.

Reply ButtonReply

amber

It’s NOT normal. I don’t recall there ever being a 2400 points item.

SquirrelyGirl

Dangit. Wish I had saved my points for the fruit sorbet palette. Oh well lol

Reply ButtonReply

Tara

Woooow, the VV palette, that’s pretty awesome!

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I redeemed points, for really pretty VV palette and smashbox. I also got the Ahava thinking it was the body lotion lol.

I miss the days where lip balm was 100 points and other items were more reasonable #firstworldproblems

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

Right? The points are ridiculous. 1200 for a full size that you pay $12? OK. By that same logic, the tiny samples should be 300.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

And you don’t get points for reviewing the reward point products! Also, like several have said on here they only like the ones that complain! I guess I’m going to have to complain🙁😞😢 Because If you do you also have a diamond on top of your name on social media😂 I don’t really care I love ipsy no matter what! I’m just voicing my opinion!

Sarah

I agree and I think the only way to fix that is to do what changed it all in the 1st place. 😩😭😩😭😩😭😩😭 This sucks! There’s never anything I want and I have points expiring. WHAAAAA!!!! That’s when they decided to hike up the points!! And they just keep getting higher and higher! Someone mentioned getting the exact cake hand cream, same size, a couple of months ago for 600 points and now it’s 1200 points?!

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah O'Neill

I got that cake hand cream for 600 points not long ago. Couldn’t believe when I saw it’s now 1200 points!

Dawna

I know I did. I looked at my history and the tube in my hand.
I did write into Ipsy about the price hike in rewards points and was given what looks like an auto response that the Ipsycare person looked up as a response. Which is fine but still… Send that complaint higher please because what used to be a fun, free perk isn’t fun anymore. If they’re going to keep going this route, they might as well take it away like Birchbox did and watch their subscribers really lose their minds…

Dea

Agree. I guess they figure now that we’re all jumping all over the add-ons for $3 each, why “charge” only 100 points for a lip balm? Like you said, First-World problems. LOL
